Hi ***, ? Here’s the information on Mr***r: ? ? On 09-Mintake (Questionnaire) was done on [redacted] ***rI called the potential patient back later on 09-May-and I spoke with him for minutes to do a more detailed phone pre-screenI then sent him the consent for review on 09-May-I told him to read the consent and call me if he was interested in screening for the study ? He seemed to qualify based on the pre-screening so when he called back I scheduled him for a visit on 12-Msaid he didn’t have a car so I asked him if he could take the trolley to get here and he said he could (he didn’t complain about it or say it would be troublesome for him)? At the appointment I asked Mr***r if he read the consent all the way through and he said he did, but I still went through each page with him and asked him throughout the consenting process if he had any questionsThe consenting process ended up taking about minutesI also pointed out to him that we can only reimburse people for their time after the visit is fully completedI gave him the example that if we finished the consent and did the tablet questionnaires right afterwards and if those said that he didn’t qualify, and then we wouldn’t be able to pay him for completing the visit because it wouldn’t be completeI gave him a 2nd example by saying that if we finished the consent and he got an emergency call and had to leave right away then we wouldn’t pay him the $because he didn’t complete the visitHe understood this part and did not ask any questions about payment ? I had Mr***r do the patient tablet questionnaires right after consenting, then he saw Dr***I noticed in the questionnaires that he rated knee pain so I asked him more about this, but he wasn’t sure if it’s OADr [redacted] then reviewed his medication/medical history and determined that he didn’t meet criteria for “documented history of previous inadequate treatment response (ie, the agent has not provided sufficient pain relief while on the maximum tolerated dose of the therapy or the subject is unable to take the agent due to contraindication or inability to tolerate) to at least different categories of agents commonly used and generally considered effective for the treatment of chronic low back pain”While she went back to her desk to review the paperwork, I went to the exam room to do the study required blood pressure measurements (total)He has a history of hypertension, but as I was getting the readings on his blood pressure they were coming up low or normalI asked him if his blood pressure is normally that way and he said he took extra medication that morning so that it wouldn’t be highI told him that he should only take his medication as prescribedI went back to talk to Dr [redacted] and we determined he would have to be screen failed (not qualified)I went to tell the patient that he didn’t qualify and so we weren’t going to proceed with the visit, but that we could see if he would qualify for an OA of the knee study if he would like (I even gave [redacted] the heads up that it could be a possibility)As soon as I told him he didn’t qualify he started asking about moneyI told him that we didn’t complete the visit so, as per the consent, we couldn’t pay him the $for completing itHe started to get really agitated so I told him I would talk to my managerHe also told me that his interest in the OA of the knee study would depend on if I gave him the $for the back pain studyI went to talk to [redacted] and she asked how far into the visit we got and since we didn’t get even halfway through the full visit that we couldn’t pay him the $I went back to tell him and he got even more upsetHe started to tell me that he didn’t care about the research and that he just wants his moneyHe also said he had to pay for the trolley to get here so he wanted reimbursement for that tooI went to talk to [redacted] and she said we could give him $to reimburse him for transportation costsThe $seemed to calm him down and he left ? I have attached the consent form he signed ? ? ? Please let me know if you need more information? Thank you, ? Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
I would like to give my full response and hopefully you can attach this as an addendum to my original complaint...look, *** was nothing but nice to me, and in return, I was nice to her...however, I'm sure she has taken a class in creative writing...there was no agitation on my part perhaps only a look of disgust at how petty they were...she conveniently does not mention anything about promising me the $50..I just pulled that out of the airalso the fact that she said she would put it on a debit card, I pulled that out of the air as well...I knew at the outset, when I filed this complaint with the Revdex.com..it was really more of an attempt to let the public know how cheap and petty this company is....I was absolutely told I would be receiving the $no ands, ifs, or buts...I DIDN'T ask anything about the payment for the trolley, since I am a senior citizen I have a trolley pass that costs me $a month, that's itno matter how many times I travel...so I wouldn't have asked her for the trolley fare that's another creative concept by ***...I did however spend hours getting there hours getting back and almost hours thereall fasting...I politely took the check and left...despite the fact that I was PROMISED $50...there was no conversation at all except for perhaps a disgusted look on my face...since I knew there were other avenues I could go to complain about this company, Revdex.com, ***, ***, *** and of course the INTERNET (all of which I have done)...I hope they feel that all of this disparagement is worth the $they cheated me out of...I thank the Revdex.com for helping me expose these dishonest, petty people and I hope you make it available to the public to read

Hi [redacted],   Here’s the information on Mr. [redacted]r:     On 09-May-2016 an intake (Questionnaire) was done on [redacted]r. I called the potential patient back later on 09-May-2016 and I spoke with him for 13 minutes to do a more detailed phone pre-screen. I then sent him the consent for...

review on 09-May-2016. I told him to read the consent and call me if he was interested in screening for the study.   He seemed to qualify based on the pre-screening so when he called back I scheduled him for a visit on 12-May-2016. He said he didn’t have a car so I asked him if he could take the trolley to get here and he said he could (he didn’t complain about it or say it would be troublesome for him).   At the appointment I asked Mr. [redacted]r if he read the consent all the way through and he said he did, but I still went through each page with him and asked him throughout the consenting process if he had any questions. The consenting process ended up taking about 45 minutes. I also pointed out to him that we can only reimburse people for their time after the visit is fully completed. I gave him the example that if we finished the consent and did the tablet questionnaires right afterwards and if those said that he didn’t qualify, and then we wouldn’t be able to pay him for completing the visit because it wouldn’t be complete. I gave him a 2nd example by saying that if we finished the consent and he got an emergency call and had to leave right away then we wouldn’t pay him the $50 because he didn’t complete the visit. He understood this part and did not ask any questions about payment.   I had Mr. [redacted]r do the patient tablet questionnaires right after consenting, then he saw Dr. [redacted]. I noticed in the questionnaires that he rated knee pain so I asked him more about this, but he wasn’t sure if it’s OA. Dr. [redacted] then reviewed his medication/medical history and determined that he didn’t meet criteria for “documented history of previous inadequate treatment response (ie, the agent has not provided sufficient pain relief while on the maximum tolerated dose of the therapy or the subject is unable to take the agent due to contraindication or inability to tolerate) to at least 3 different categories of agents commonly used and generally considered effective for the treatment of chronic low back pain”. While she went back to her desk to review the paperwork, I went to the exam room to do the study required blood pressure measurements (4 total). He has a history of hypertension, but as I was getting the readings on his blood pressure they were coming up low or normal. I asked him if his blood pressure is normally that way and he said he took extra medication that morning so that it wouldn’t be high. I told him that he should only take his medication as prescribed. I went back to talk to Dr. [redacted] and we determined he would have to be screen failed (not qualified). I went to tell the patient that he didn’t qualify and so we weren’t going to proceed with the visit, but that we could see if he would qualify for an OA of the knee study if he would like (I even gave [redacted] the heads up that it could be a possibility). As soon as I told him he didn’t qualify he started asking about money. I told him that we didn’t complete the visit so, as per the consent, we couldn’t pay him the $50 for completing it. He started to get really agitated so I told him I would talk to my manager. He also told me that his interest in the OA of the knee study would depend on if I gave him the $50 for the back pain study. I went to talk to [redacted] and she asked how far into the visit we got and since we didn’t get even halfway through the full visit that we couldn’t pay him the $50. I went back to tell him and he got even more upset. He started to tell me that he didn’t care about the research and that he just wants his money. He also said he had to pay for the trolley to get here so he wanted reimbursement for that too. I went to talk to [redacted] and she said we could give him $20 to reimburse him for transportation costs. The $20 seemed to calm him down and he left.   I have attached the consent form he signed.       Please let me know if you need more information.   Thank you,   [redacted] Clinical Research Coordinator TriWest Research Associates 300 S Pierce St. Suite 201 El Cajon, CA 92020 P: 619-334-4735 ext[redacted] F: 619-334-4769 [redacted]
