I had my taxes prepared by Jeff Cayetano at TRL tax group on 01/27/2019. I was told the fee was 50 $ because I have the "EZ" type of return. I was told my check would by $2,200. after repeatedly contacting the IRS about not receiving my check I was told by Jeff that he made a mistake and had to re-submit my taxes for a lesser amount -$1464.
When I finally received my deposit I only received $911. They kept $553 as their "fee" and had it direct deposited into their own account.

Refund they stole $500 from me. my tax return took less than 10 minutes, it was the EZ type and that was supposed to be a $50 fee Jeff's number is XXX-XXX-XXXX
I apologize for the inconvenience on jeffs behalf. due to his language barrier it can be difficult to communicate with him at times. with that being said, at the beginning of this tax season we were led to believe that it was business as usual UNTIL we got information of the new changes shortly AFTER the season began. ms *** must have came in before we got the new information which is why her refund amount was adjusted along with every other customer there after. it was jeffs job to inform her about the changes which he did according to ms ***. as far as our fees goes there set fees associated with filing a return. efile fee, bank fee, office fee, along with prep fee. I dnt understand how jeff could have told ms *** that the fee would only be $50. our standard prep fee starts at $199. again I am truly sorry for the inconvenience and miscommunication..

Their response does not address the fact that they stole $550 from my refund. The amount I was supposed to receive according to the IRS was$1464.00 and my direct deposit was only $911. Jeff speaks perfect English and so do I. There was no language problem or miscommunication. They robbed me. That's what happened. They owe me $500.00
