I've had the misfortunate of having to deal with Troop Real Estate and their property manager *** *** of Ojai and Simi Valley CA when I moved to OjaiTheir property manager *** is nothing but rude, dishonest, disrespectful and a flat out liarWhen we spoke on the phone for the first time she spoke to me in a manner of disrespect, condescending and rude natureWhen I asked her not to speak to me that way or I will hang up, her reply was "I can speak to you anyway I want to"! Seriously? A professional realtor/property manager? When you tell her you have photo's that prove all her lies she then backs off and totally ignores you as a tenantWhen you ask her to put in writing what comes out her mouth she ignores your requests because she can't stand behind her wordsTroop Real Estate had totally ignored issues for a property I rented where *** *** was the property managerI had RATS (yes rats), and mice all of which they had ignored my requests for weeks to send an exterminatorThe tenants on the same property next door, which*** was also hired as the property manger for, constantly let their large dogs wonder on my property, dig holes and scare my friends childrenThey also planted a garden on a section of my property and when I complained to *** she literally took that portion of my property awayShe allowed the new tenants to store their belongings co-mingling with mine in the garage and they went into my closed boxes and used my personal belongingsWhen I complained and brought this to the attention of *** she made arrangement to have a lock smith install new locks on the garage doors until we came to a mutual agreement for the owners to pay for my storage off siteDuring this time the neighbors removed the locks and went back into the garageI called *** *** immediately and explained how the door was ajar and the recently installed lock were removedShe complained about my calling her while she was on vacation and eventually brought the locksmith back to re-installWhen I confronted her about the locks being removed she lied and said they we're never removedShe had no idea I had taken photos of the removed locks that nightWhen I let her in on that fact she then backed off and refused to manager the property any longerThat was more than fine with me*** *** and Troop Real Estate will do nothing but cause you a lot of stress and frustrationIf your time is valuable to you I do not recommend wasting it with themA horrible company to deal withRead all their negative reviews on the web and on Yelp (which is currently hidden under thier not recommend list)I wonder how they got Yelp to hide all those bad reviews? Since my experience with Troop Real Estate, *** *** and their employees I've met numerous people throughout the area who all have similar storiesDue to the way Troop Real Estate mishandled the situation in whole and how *** *** harassed me and caused me physical ailments and stress I opted to moveI lost over $6,in moving expenses due to Troop Real EstateThrough the Revdex.com I have asked them to reimburse me which they refuse to do or take any responsibility forStay clear of Troop Real Estate!

I received the complaint from Katherine Basura and would like to respond to her claims.It is true that the tenant had a good history of paying rent for the bedroom unit which she leased 3/1/When she moved into the bedroom property it was only herself and her daughter (age 17) who were to
be living in the unit as stated on the leaseAt some point during their tenancy, the daughter had children and a boyfriend who also was living in the bedroom unit (although they were not on the lease.)I had a vacancy in the bedroom unit in the next building and asked the tenant if she would like to move to have more space for her familyThey came and looked at the unit and were very excited to moveThey never disclosed that they had lost their jobs and that this move would be a financial hardshipWe signed a new month lease for the new property.Since taking possession of the bedroom unit on December 15, the tenants have only paid their rent on time onceThe owner elected not to renew or extend their lease based on their lack of timely rent paymentsThe tenants were given proper notice of the termination of tenancy.If you have further questions or require additional documentation of the details pertaining to this matter, please contact meI can be reached on my cell phone ###-###-#### or via email at: ***@gmail.com.Sincerely,S*** *** Property Manager Cal BRE # 01***

Stay clear of Troop Real Estate!
