Review: I have lived at Autumn Hill which is now Landmark at the granite park for 3 years and have never been treated with such disrespect, I referred a friend to move there before they completed the business switch. You get 250 for referrals towards your rent. I called 5 x a week before rent was due because I wanted to know exactly what I had to pay after my referral was applied [redacted] the front desk chick told me that she had not found my referral and that construction was going on and she would call me the next day no hear back so I called a few more times finally for her to tell me the files were in the attic and she didnt know when they could retrieve my info. so I did my own math and gave them what I knew I had a referral for because [redacted] who no longer worked there told me all I needed to do was come sign my form so that I could get my money and all of a sudden it was lost so they charged me late fees which was there fault because they failed to return my calls in a timely manner and I even had to show up inside the business and every1 was clueless. long story short they charged me 100+ bucks for fees and I refuse to pay them my water bills because they tacted lates fees and they wont give me an explination. I contacted AUM and they have me only owing 40 bucks each month ad all of a sudden I owe 196?? I called friday and have yet to get a call back when tracey said she would have a manger contact me. so im taking my own steps next is legal aide!! ontop of this they are threatning me with court but wont listen to my side of the story!!! on top of this my lease ends sometime in june they put a renewal contract form on my door may 11, 2013 you are asking me to give you a 2 months notice if I dont want to renew but you place it on my door 1 month prior and expect me to stay a extra month they are quite ridiculousDesired Settlement: I want to only pay what I owe them I should not have acciqured a late fee because they never responded in a professional manner I had to continue to follow up and still got the run around and im not paying for something that is not my fault. and I refuse to sign another lease until this is resolved and the fact that they gave me a 4 weeks notice to renew will be another issue I will bug them about if they expect me to stay 1 extra month outside of my lease!

Response:

Good

Afternoon,

I

am replying to the accusations that were made against us on 5/20/2013 at

11:41:26 AM.

The

referral form that the resident is talking about requires both a signature from

the resident that referred the person and the new resident. That form was not

signed until 4/5/2013, we can not issue the credit until we have signed

documentation. The credit was given after the document was signed but it was

already after her payment was late, as rent is due on the 3rd and she paid on

the 5th. The resident said that we charged her $100 plus but we charged her a

late fee of $68.00 as she was late paying her rent.

The

resident was referring to the AUM bill being $40 for the month in question

it was $41.24 and that is due at the same time as the rent.

The

resident said that we gave her a notice about renewing her lease that ends

sometime in June, her lease actually ends on July 15, 2013. The notice was left

on her door on May 3, 2013, this was plenty of time if she wanted to give

notice. We do require a 60 day notice when in a lease or 30 days notice if they

are month to month.

The

resident did contact the office on Friday 5/17/2013 I was at a corporate

meeting and she sent an email to corporate asking that we not contact her from

this office. My regional called her on Monday 5/20/2013 and left a message but

she has not returned his call.

I

tried calling her this morning to talk with her after receiving the letter from

the Revdex.com as it stated that I didn't call her back, but out of respect for

the request she sent to our corporate office.

Sincerely,

Consumer

Response:

Goodmorning,

[redacted] and I have spoken friday morning and she seems very reasonable with this offer, we have discussed my lease and the next steps that have happened and where we need to go from here. That weight is now off of my shoulders and she has agreed to waive some of my fees. I will now do my part and pay what I need to pay and Thank you for helping me with this issue!

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's offer. If you wish, you may update it before sending it.]

I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. If the company does not perform as promised I can get back to you at: [email protected].
