I received a marketing letter from iServe Lending so I applied for a mortgage loan and was assigned to *** *** with the *** *** officeAll financing went through quickly and I was approved for a loan and began searching for a house*** referred me to a realtor that he works with regularlyAfter looking at a few houses with the realtor, I realized that the relationship with her and I was not going to workI did not feel she had my best interest at heart and was only there to collect from my purchaseDuring this process I rarely spoke to *** with iServe, but the moment I told the realtor I no longer wished to work with her, she called the lender, who in turn called meFrom the moment we got on the phone, I could tell by the tone in his voice that he was upset with my decision because he was treating me like a childThe next day I requested that my application be withdrawn from the companyI offered no further explanation as I knew it would only lead to another conversation where he would berate me and talk down to meA few days later, today in fact, he called me around 9am and I was unable to answer the phone because I was in a work meetingImmediately following he sent me a text message asking me why I was not going to answer his calls and that he was quite taken by my actionsI answered him by telling him I was in a meeting and couldn't talk and that all I needed him to do was to send me confirmation that my application had been withdrawn, but since he keeps insisting that I give explanation I obligedI told him that I was not happy with dealing with the two of them and did not appreciate being treated like a child and to please, once again, withdraw my application and we will go separate waysFor the next two hours, he harassed and berated me via textHe told me I wasn't smart enough to handle a house negotiation on my own and people like me would be taken advantage ofHe accused me of being "unethical and selfish", he told me I had "no respect for others", and called me "childish and offensive"After two hours of texts I finally told him to stop harassing me and calling me names or I would take this to the next level by filing complaintsThen he continued to send me texts saying I was unprofessional, uneducated, and that I was the one harassing himI am a professional, a college graduate, and a mother of twoI have never been treated this way by a company representative because I no longer chose to do business with themI would warn the public against doing business with this company because they commend this type of behavior in their employeesHe even told me that he forwarded the messages to his management team so they could have it on file, but I am sure he didn't forward all the hateful things he was saying to meI told him good for him, that maybe now his company would know why they are losing clients and potential revenueI have never been bullied or disrespected like this by a companyI would warn other consumers from doing business with this company and especially this particular representativeI have saved all the messages from the conversation and will be filing a formal complaint with his corporate office and the CFPBI never have received a letter stating my application was withdrawn and am uneasy that he has access to every bit of my personal information
