Aloha ***, I am writing you based on a customer complaint that was issued against our companyI know all the details on this matter and will be more then happy to provide you with more information if my statement is not complete. The customer in question *** *** brought in a ring that we made over years ago to get refurbished and resized When she brought the ring in it was cut at the shank and flattened out and unwearableShe asked us to make it so that she could wear again and that is what we did, how ever there was another customer of ours that had ordered a ring and funny enough it was the same style ring....we have made this ring over times in the pastIt is a double heart with customizable initials for each heartWhen *** came to pick her ring up the stock number and description matched what we were giving her since it was almost the exact same ringShe told our sales girl that she thought the ring was different but the sales girl was unaware that there were two different jobs going on with almost the same design so she told her that it was her ring and that maybe since it was made wearable again that it looked differentIt was only when our other customer picked up the other ring that we figured out that they were mistakenly switched on the job bags due to similar design and human error.The other customer noticed that the ring looked old and not newThis is the moment that we realized what happened and called *** (Same day she picked up the ring) and told her that we were sorry that this happened and that she could come pick her ring upI really wish I would have taken a photo of the ring that we repaired since it was in such bad condition that to be honest we normally would have charged more to repair but since her grandma got it for her we decided to charge a minimal $charge to solder and reshapeIt was the next day that she wrote a negative review on yelp and I responded back to herI told her that if she wanted to come in for a refund I would be more than happy to refund her for the mistake we madeWe also told her that when time came and that if she wanted to replace the shank we would replace the whole shank free of charge about a $jobThe complaint states that we gave her a fake ring and that it was lighter and the inside engraving was gone First and foremost we have been in business making jewelry in hawaii for over 40+ years and this is my family business and we are not in the business of ripping customers off The ring that was mistakenly given to her was in fact heavier then the one she brought inYes the engraving on the inside was gone since it was not her ring that she gotAll she would have had to do was tell us what was not right about her ring and we could have fixed it...We can do anything when it comes to jewelry and if it was an issue she should have mentioned itTo be honest when you repair any metals that were damaged as bad as her ring was when she brought it in you run the chance of it not looking the same as it was years agoEither way we were truly sorry that the mix up happened and explained to her what happened and weather or not she understands is fineWe have major corporate accounts that do regular audits on quality and gold content (assay tests) which never have been an issue and never will beWe are a creditable company and I am sure if we were not we would still be aroundThank you for allowing me to fill you in on what happenedIf you need any other information please feel free to let me know.-- Shawn S*Tropical Creations MFG*** *** *** ***

I feel like I should at a minimum get a refund. Although it was only $25 It's about how I felt as a customer there and not wanting anyone else to be treated as I was. I was taken advantage of and I trusted this company with a very sentimental gift that my grandmother had given me. It's because of...

the shady practice of this horrible company that my ring will never be the same. Any assistance you can offer me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
