To whom it may concern,
Here is my response
and rebuttal of the claims by Troy’s Off Road GarageI hope by writing this it
will be clear that Troy’s Off Road Garage did not include all the facts to
their responseAlso we would like to introduce some evidence to support this
fact as well as proof on how customers are treated by the above said business
I regards to *** *** first claim of the axle being in perfect working order
is not exactly trueTroy’s Off Road Garage replaced the first seal on my jeep
two weeks after the axle was installedThis was the first leak that *** ***
is leaving out of his statement. In May
of this year which is approximately two months after the install and a month
and a half after the first seal leak, I experienced a second seal leakI
contacted *** *** the owner of Troy’s Off Road Garage and he said that he was
not able to get to the repair and gave me the part number and the place of
business to pick up the partHe stated to me that I watched him do the first
one and that it was easy enough for me to do on my ownHe never once stated
that it void his warranty on the axle he installedI did the repair as I was
shown by *** ***At This time he never once asked to see the axle or to
verify what the root cause of the issueI continued to drive my Jeep for
another month and a half till the third seal leak which is now early JulyI
asked Troy again for the part number of the seal or for him to look at itHe
replied that he would call me back the next day, but failed to do soAfter a
couple of days past I posted on social media to see if anyone had a issue with
the brand of axle to see if there was a fix since it was clear at this point *** *** was not going
to stand behind his workIn the post no name was provided on the shop that did
the install the question was about the brand*** *** began making non
professional comments to other people as well as me that where asking
reasonable questionsIt was clear that the axle was not going to be warranted
and that Troy’s Off Road Garage would not stand behind their work To the response by *** *** stating I had my
axle repaired before he contacted me that is also and the attached
messages will show his lack of professionalism and customer service*** ***
goes as far in these messages as stating no paperwork no warrantyThis was
assumed that he had no recall of doing the install*** *** never provided me
with paperwork and verbally told me that he knew he did the work and that he
would handle the warrantyAfter the comments by *** *** towards me and the
members of our off road club I took my Jeep to another shop to have them look
at itAfter they inspected my Jeep the Root Cause of the seal failure was
determinedIt appears that Troy’s Off Road Garage used the wrong bearing on
the pinion of the axle, this cause excessive movement which intern caused the
seal to fail and leakThe other shop contacted the manufacture of the axle G
to get the parts warrantedThis is something *** *** was not willing to do
The other shop warranted the parts, but not the labor to fix the mistake made
by *** ***In short the gears, yoke, bearing, and seal had to be replaced do
to Troy’s off Road Garage not properly backing their work. In closing I would like to be reimbursed for
the cost of the labor that I had to pay the other shopThis cost was $ I
would also like a copy for my own records of every receipt for every purchase
to Troy’s Off Road Garage to have the manufacture warranty handled by another
shop
In my closing statement I would like for the Revdex.com to take
appropriate actions in this matter as it is clear I was mislead to believe *** *** would stand behind his workAlso the level of customer service I
received is really horrible and should be noted for the record.
