The customer ordered a custom piece of furniture from us which we submitted plans and specs for his approval which he provided via email stating that this was the piece of furniture that he wanted built Upon delivery of the piece of furniture, he decided he wanted to change his measurements
and have us rebuild another custom piece of furniture with new plans and specs Per the contract he signed, after signing off on a custom piece of furniture, should the customer then reject the piece for a reason other than our companies error, they are subject to a 20% restocking fee The customer has had several pieces of furniture built by us in the past and if there were ever any defects in the product, we rebuilt the piece for the customer at no charge to him In this particular instance, the customer was provided detailed plans and specs for the piece and he agreed via email that this was indeed the piece that he wanted built Only upon delivery did the customer decide he now wanted to change the measurements The customer has not been pressured to take the piece by our company We simply explained that we will not build another custom piece of furniture and take the piece he approved back without the 20% restocking fee The customer requested until after the holidays to decide which route he wanted to go and all attempts to contact him since prior to Thanksgiving have been ignored Troyer Furniture stands ready to either deliver the piece of furniture that the customer approved or we will allow him to return it less the restocking fee which is a part of the contract that the customer signed We can provide the email documentation where the customer approved the plans for his chest as well as the purchase agreement that he signed which includes the restocking fee spelled out in clear language

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.I appreciate Troyer Furniture admitting some level of fault by offering 5% back on the furniture. I want to know what the exact amount is as this was not offered before.  Also, I have not signed off on the furniture on delivery, that's why I sent it back. I measured the furniture which is an inch less then what it should be, making the piece more narrow and less stable. I have also not received any phone calls, and I have not noticed any new e-mails from the store. They are welcome to call to schedule a delivery date for the product. I don't wish to be inconvenienced any further by this matter.
