Troy'S Florist Reviews (3)

We completed the job about 8 months ago. We Used 2-4 inches of road base gravel fo the concrete prep work, and we compacted the gravel. When we received the first complaint, I took a look at the concrete and came to the conclusion that the recidence is set in an expansive soil area, and there is...

little I can do about it. I let the owner know that. I also had the oportunity to check with the neighbors, and they seem to have the same problem. The expansive soil semmes to be a problem in the area of Morada, where they live. We also patched the small piece of concrete that broke of the deck on november 4 2016. We did not received a complaint about it until november 28, 2016; the same day the complaint was filed in Revdex.com. We recomend that he gets a soil engeneer so he can recomend what can be done on that type of soil. If there is anything we can do we would gladly do it, for a cost, and we will also give [redacted] a credit. Sincerely, [redacted].

It is a fact that the we had to repair the costumer's plaster, but there are a few details he is leaving out. When we originally re-plaster the warranty was only for one year for repairs with no charge, since used standard plaster. The cracking of the plaster happened about two after the...

re-plastering, that's why we had to charge him. Another detail he left out wast that when we went to see the cracked plaster, the pool was empty. That would automatically void the warranty, if he had one at the time, since re-plastered pools need to be always hydrated so they don't suffer damage. When we originally bid for the new pool repair, we gave him a bid of $2,200, which we immediately reduced to $1,100, since he was a former customer. He fully accepted the $1,100 bid. Once we went on with the repair, we realized that there was not structural damage to the steps, so we reduced the charge for the repair even more, to bring the total charge to only $900. This shows that we were willing to negotiate with him in order to get him a price he was ok with. After the job was completed he seemed satisfied with the result, since he actually paid for the job. One would think that if he wasn't satisfied he wouldn't done that. For us, the complaint seemed to come out of the blue, since he did not contact us right after the job to show his dissatisfaction. Hopefully this response would help clear things out and help reach everybody to a satisfactory outcome.

I am rejecting this response because:These conditions that he spoke to neighbors about, I dont think he did. I asked my neighbor who has had no issue with her pool deck and she stated he did not contact her. One mile away my inlaws had concrete poured and four years later there only minor cracks ( To be expected)If I had been informed about this before hand, I would not have had the work done.I am just now complaining about the patch job because I was hoping the color would lighten up to match the rest of the concrete. It didn't. Bottom line, Its a shame that I paid $7000 for a concrete job that didn't even last a year. If [redacted] wants to give me a credit, He may mail a check to my house.
