Tru-Tech Doors

We recently purchased a Tru Tech garden door through and installed by *** Windows and Doors in our walkout basement. The weather seal in the portion of the door which does not open was either not installed properly during manufacture or failed which has resulted in cold air leaking into the house during the winter. In attempting to resolve the problem with Tru Tech, *** windows and doors was informed by Tru Tech to inject silicone into the void and refused to replace the door as Tru Tech claim that it is not a manufacturing defect. Injecting silicone into the void is not a suitable solution since silicone will not adhere to silicone which is what was used in the first place and has failed. Additionally, the area of the void is very narrow and it would be virtually impossible to fill the void except under high pressure.
