upon inspection of the truck their appeared to be some black "gunk" in coolant over flow tank. I was told they inspected everything and flushed coolant out. They did not determine a problem only that the truck was to receive a coolant flush. upon my second inspection the problem did not show again but after driving the truck to Illinois from Indiana the coolant has turned black again. the truck burns coolant and system does not retain pressure. The truck seems to have some form of internal leak(where exhaust is getting into the coolant) and they either did not test or were covering it up

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Regards

I looked at my bill after I got home and noticed I was charged $127.50 for the reinstalation of a drive shaft due to towing that had never been removed. When I called Truck Country about it they said that’s just part of the diagnostics time and would not remove the charge even after they acknowledged that they had not touched the drive shaft. It is very frustrating to deal with companies that falsely put on your bill a service that’s was not performed and they will not remove it from said bill and reimburse you for the charge.

The business has refunded his card the amount. Resolved the complaint.

I took my semi in for an engine heater to be installed and to have 2 hoses replaced. I replaced a hose, in sub-zero temps, on the side of the road, and it took me 15 minutes, just the week before. The price was thought to be around $1000.00. They called and said it would be a little bit more because of some rust they wanted to remove. I went to pick up the truck and the bill was $2200.00. I had to pay it or I couldn't get my semi back. I asked why it took 2 men so long to change 2 hoses in a heated building, when I did it myself the prior weekend. No explanation. I asked why I had to pay around $30.00 for a clamp that they broke and what were the extra shop charges for. No explanation. I asked why I wasn't informed of this huge charge, instead saying "a little bit more". No explanation. They knocked $200.00 off my bill, but I still had to pay $1997.00. That is ridiculous and no one can explain.

Good afternoon. I was able to get a hold of John on the phone this afternoon to review his concerns with his recent service visit at our dealership. Truck Country is highly dedicated to providing excellent customer service and will always work diligently with our customers to resolve any issues or concerns that may arise. Through reviewing the bill with John over the phone, I was able to explain in greater detail the circumstances and challenges of the repairs we completed for him. John and I were able to resolve this issue amicably through our conversation and Truck Country will be providing the customer a goodwill policy credit for an amount that was agreed upon by both John and I. The credit check will be issued, to the address provided by the customer, on 2/7/19. A copy of the credit invoice will also be sent to John via email.

Driving from Iowa to the EAA Airshow in Oshkosh, WI when the starter and solenoid went out on my RV Bus. Called Freightliner on-line 24 hour service tech and troubleshoot to determine the starter was bad. Called Guy's Truck Service and Freightline 24 hour service tech told him how to get RV Bus started. Was then able to drive 80 miles to Freightliner service center. Went to Truck Country-Madison, *** (new address had just move to that location that week) to get it replaced. Got there about 6pm 7-18-2017. Told the Service Manager had extended warranty and gave him the information. Couple of hours later, mechanic came out to RV, took 45 minutes to troubleshoot the starter was bad. Said they would check in the morning to see if had one in stock to replace it. Next day they finally came out around 10-11 to replace the starter, mechanic took less than 1 hour to replace it. Man came out to show me what I was to pay after the extended warranty paid. They informed me that I had to pay the difference in labor what extended warranty didn't pay. That was a total of $65 per hour. Extended warranty only paid $80 and they charge $145. my deductible is $200, so 2 hours @ $65 equals $130, so guessed I would pay $330 plus tax. No, at this time I was informed that they had a 2 hour troubleshooting charge and 4 hour installation charge. I was charged $589.50 labor, $200 warranty deductible, and $43.42 tax for a total of $832.92. I explained that this was never mentioned until I received the bill, was told this is our rates and thats it. I gave them the times it took to do all the work and they were not concerned. I feel that I was charged $460+ to much. I expressed this and they didn't care. If they charge all the companies that had trucks in their shop like this, won't take long to pay for the new service shop and building

We have taken action on this matter. After reviewing the details of what happened, it appears a billing mistake occurred. This invoice had split billing due to an aftermarket warranty coverage contributing some of the cost and the customers portion was simply miscalculated. This was the first I had heard of Mr. compliant and called him right away. We refunded the requested amount back to Mr. and made him fully aware of the situation. He was satisfied fully and promises to remain a customer with us. Please reach out for any additional questions you may have.
