[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:my vechile was not properly repaired there was ongoing issues with the hood I did tell Kelly the receptionist that it did not seem to be the right fit for my car so I brought it back a second time due to movement on the highway and it was briefly adjusted it was not a success so I did choose to get my vechile looked over by rothrock [redacted] s auto collision company that specializes is nisssn vechilesI spoke to the manager reguarding my concerns and as him and I did a walk around the car he noticed a lot of errors made not only the hood wasn't the right fit the [redacted] logo wasn't laying right on the front grill.the back bumper was not laying right there was huge gaps around the back lights same with the hoodThe paint had dirt in it in which the clear coat was bumpy and sharpThe side panels were pushing against my front end lights which caused damage to the left front light over sprayed on the bottom of my bumperAfter all was said and done and those concerns were brought up to my insurance company they did call me and tell me they had to total my vechile out due to the the new repairs would over exceed the value of the carUpon pick up on aug my vechile did stall in there parking lot and the air conditioning was blowing out hot air from the vents and there was a huge gap between the grill and the hoodI'm so appaled at this whole situation I think gerber collision and glass did put me into a financial situation and they did improper careless repairs that were rushed and if they had did the repairs in a Timely manner my vechile would of never been redeemed a total loss Regards, [redacted] ***

Complaints was repaired following the [redacted] guidelinesGerber did utilize aftermarket partsThe reason the complainant's vehicle was deemed a total loss, was due to the dis-satisfaction with the fit of the aftermarket sheet metalThe dealership decided in order OEM sheet metalThis caused the repair to exceed the value.The repairs we performed were the repairs identified with the facts of loss provided to GerberOnce the repairs were completed the complainant added additional items over the original facts of loss, we cannot control or prevent this from exceeding the value of the vehicle.The Insurance Company will only pay for whats related to the claim one time; Any item's added(NEW as identified by complainant) after the initial assessment apparently would have been considered "additional" and those are what increased the cost of repairs, exceeding the vehicles value.The other items the complainant mentions above would not change the payment or decision made by the Insurance Company who has deemed the vehicle a Total Loss.Thank you

Gerber Collision offers a life time warranty on all repairs. We were receptive to correct the complaint issues with vehicle after initial repairs. When the vehicle went to the dealership, there were additional repairs necessary. The result of these additional repairs, caused the complaint's... insurance carrier to make the vehicle a total loss. As we understand, the total loss amount of the vehicle did not exceed the amount owed on the vehicle. We understand this is an unfortunate situation, but do not believe we are responsible to pay any additional amount owed toward lien.
