True Classic Tattoo & Piercing Reviews (1)

Review: I had been badly scarred on my right arm do to ink from a tattoo of a bird that lost most all it's color. This bird was done in way too deep and never had no problem with others from another place I've had gone to for years. This has devastated me and now I cannot get my money back. I'm in tears and outraged! This has really messed up my self-esteem. His work was horrible and didn't listen on how I wanted the things layed out. Spaces too far apart and uneven. I believed that I made it clear to him. I want to make it so this does not happen to anyone else!Desired Settlement: Get my whole $150 back without confrontation!

Initial Business Response

I do not recall this person coming into my shop with concerns of her tattoo, there for making it difficult to give my exact response, I think before reaching this level what would have made sense was to come back to the establishment and speak to me about her concerns so that I could inspect the tattoo and come to a conclusion and what the cause most likely was and how to address it, a tattoo is a wound and must be considered as such, no two wounds or tattoos will ever heal the same way, different body parts tend to heal differently, my question is how long ago was this tattoo done, how was the after care done? the shop policy that is clearly posted is that touch ups are free of charge if done within 60 days of the tattoo date, it is common for tattoos to sometimes lose ink during the healing stage and that is the reason we have this policy. For me to offer any type of remedy to this situation this person must come in and speak to me in person the outcome of a tattoo is equally affected by the person doing the tattoo as it is with the after care of the person receiving the tattoo.

Consumer Response

This is [redacted] and I have been done wrong. Here are the reasons why.

This business called True Classic Tattoo and Piercing on Miner St, in Stockton, Ca. has not done the art on my right lower arm the way I asked them to. I believe to the best of my knowledge that I had let them know how I wanted the tattoo layed out. First off the half moon and stars were not spaced well enough around my rist. I did not want two stars side by side and the same for the fish and dog bone that is lower around my arm. Two fish were also side by side which was also not wanted either. And then the lower band of the fish and dog bones were down too far from the cat and dog art that was there before done by a different shop years ago. Now because there is gaps like that, I now have to pay more money to fill them in and that will be done by another shop, a known shop that I should have gone to in the first place. Then to top it all off, the swallow (bird) on my forearm is fine except most the ink did not stay. The man did say he would color it in free. I never had fading before on my other tattoos I had done from another shop. They will never touch me again. I do not understand why this had to go so wrong. I have to live with this for life unless I run into big money which is not a realistic thought. And I had complained that the art in the bird went deep. Honestly, that had adventually serviced without rises in the skin. So that part is no longer an issue. All I ask for is the have the full amount I had paid returned to me for the devastation I will forever go through. I am not asking for more than the $150. that I put down. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope most of all to have a satisfying result since I did not deserve this one bit.

Business Response

Now that this person has given more detail about her tattoo I do recall who she is and Not once did this person contact me or come in and speak to me about her complaints prior to taking this matter to Revdex.com, this tattoo was a grouping of a multiple small tattoos that were placed around her arm, first a stencil of each individual tattoo was placed on her arm prior to doing the tattoo and she verified the placement of each as well as what she wanted placed in what spots before I did each tattoo, at that point she could have easily asked for any of them to be changed or relocated, as far as the swallow bird needing to be touched up as I stated that is something I told her I would do free if needed within 60 days of original tattoo date, I see no reason to give this person a refund for a tattoo that she had total control over of the placement of each tattoo, the only issue I see is the fact that she claims the bird needs to be touched up and I feel I have been more than fair offering to do that free of charge as per our policy, as I stated earlier this concern could have easily been dealt with had she contacted me with any concerns, I had no ideas she had any issues what so ever until I was contacted by the Revdex.com and to which I offered a reasonable resolution.
