True Nails

Review: I was in the salon early yesterday morning (10/31/2015) to get a gel polish. I paid $20 (plus a $4 tip). The girl was super nice but when I got to the car I noticed the paint job was awful! The side of the nails were clumped up and spotty (i.e., you could see bare parts of nail on some of my nails, where polish should have been). During the polish, I had 2 nails that were cracked, and the girl painted the gel polish over top of the cracked nails. I explained to her that there were some cracks, but she told me the gel would cover them. When I got out of the salon, you could see the cracked nails under the polish (even from the top of the finger nail). I ended up going to another salon to get my nails done a second time that day. I was going to put a bad review online, but I decided to email the salon owner (and send pictures of the paint job) and give her a chance to make it right before I posted a negative review. She was unwilling to refund my money, because she said it was a service and the service was already provided (see full response below). I can provide pictures of the service if needed. True Nails salon owner response: "[redacted] hope you understand this service not shopping and we alldready have sign to said no money back , we can fix that color on your skin and hope you understand she work to make money she alldready spend that time on you but if I give that money back for you she will not get pay for the hold time she put on you, please put your sell in her Sh oes I did talk to her you can come back she will fix that for you sorry , she will do better than that."Desired Settlement: All I want is the $20 that I paid back (I'm not even asking for the tip portion back). I don't want any further services from there, because of the bad experience I had there yesterday.

I understand it is a service, but the service that was provided was not satisfactory (not even close). I was getting my nails done for a certain event (happening the day I was there) and I had to remove the polish that I did get before I went to the event, because it looked so bad. Getting them fixed now will not help (the event has already happened). I am only asking that I receive a refund for the money that I paid for the service (not including tip), as the service I received was a complete wast of money since it had to be removed (and I couldn't go back to get it fixed in time for the event).
