Kent assessed the problem and ended up installing a new toilet. He did a great job, was fast, and neat. He was also quite personable and helpful.

24/7 365 Honest and reliable service for all your plumbing needs

true plumbers on 2 separate occasions and in email verified total for job was $4500 in oct they started saying we owed another 350.00
in april of 2018 we had plumbing leak we contacted true plumbers and decided to have them repipe our house.I was dealing with kandi and Emily. I was given a total of $4500 I was assured on multiple occasions that this was total price for job. I gave them a down payment of 2,250 on or about 5/9/18 to start job and restore water to house. job was completed as agreed and done to our satisfaction. I was advised by a friend to get an itemized bill but they kept insisting they don't give itemized bills I told kandi I was hesitant to pay balace in full without having an itemized bill she emailed me an invoice for $4500 on 5/15/18 I paid balace with cc and that was that.in mid oct I received a bill for 350.00 stating it was past due I called and tt several people and got no where but I told them I would mail copies of everything I had including original invoice from hydroscout central that clearly states they billed TP directly for 250.00 dated 4/23/18 I heard nothing again till 1/6/2018 when a letter was received addressed to carole coombe threatening legal action. this came on a letterhead with a business address that is our home address???? signed off by just true plumbers. I called today and spoke to Emily wasn't helpful at all and just kept insisting I have to pay.

Desired Outcome

i need a third party to contact TP and advise them that the practice of comming after a customer months after a business dealing is complete and trying to extort additional money is highly suspicsous and unprofessional.additionally this third party charged them 250.00 and they have the audacity to mark it up to 350.00 after the fact. i firmly believe that this part(leak detection) of the process was included in the $4,500 and that someone in this company views this as gaining additional funds for company. the average person does not keep all records and they may feel threatened by legal action and just pay,im not that person.

True Plumbers Response • Jan 30, 2019

There was a very clear miscommunication on the cost for services. We have spoken with the customer and waived the charge of the $350.00. We will be providing an invoice to the customer showing that a $0 balance is due. The customer has verbally stated their satisfaction to True Plumbers.

I was advised that I would not be charged for the scope and I received a bill.
While on speaker phone my contractor spoke to the office and we were advised that when True Builders would come out to use the scope to look into my pipes that I would not receive a bill. I have received a bill and do not understand why they went back on their word not to bill me for this service.

Desired Outcome

I would like for True Builders to honor their word and remove the bill for $269 for the scope. This was discussed prior to having anyone from the office come out to my house on 6/22. I think it is unfair to treat senior citizens or anyone this way. I am disappointed that I received a bill.

True Plumbers Response • Jul 09, 2018

At the time the customer first called in to request the appointment, True Plumbers stated we would go to the home for a free estimate/diagnostic. After our on-site evaluation, True Plumbers determined that we needed to run the camera at a cost of $269 to view the inside of the drain lines to locate the source of the customer's issue. We verbally discussed with Rick Shapter (hired contractor by the customer) the charges for the services needed which he approved before services were rendered. We have attached the signed invoice stating he authorized the charges and approved of the service to be performed at the cost of $269. Additionally, if needed, we can also provide the recording of the phone call at the time the appointment was scheduled.

We requested service due to a leaking pipe. Tech, OC came out. OC scoped out the work and began to complain about how hard of a job it was and he might call someone else to do the job because that is how difficult it was. Sounds pricey! OC tells my boyfriend $700. After hearing him complain about the difficulty, $700 didn't seem so bad, my boyfriend agrees. When he's done I talk to OC about what his job entailed, he told me that he dug the hole, cut the pipe, sauntered a lid on to prevent flow, and buried it. HOW ON EARTH DID IT COST $700 FOR THAT? I say I dont agree with the price and call their office But no ones available to talk. Put my name down for emergency contact. 15 minutes go by, OCs now at the door with his bill. He explains what he wrote with a total of $700 and asks me to sign. I say no. He asks if I'm refusing to pay. I tell him I'm waiting for a call back. OC calls Mark, owner of the company! I get the phone and mark asks if I am having trouble understanding? I ask him to break down what added up to $700? Unfortunately he could not give me a break down. The price is just for one full job. I ask if they just pull numbers out of a hat or what? He goes on about OCs reputation and character. It has nothing to do with that! What am I paying $700 for? What is your labor? Parts? Mark could not give me an answer. Once I told him he would get his $700 but we would never use them again he said he would make a rare occasion and give $150 off. I agree. OC comes back with the new bill and a bonus. We could get a $99 warrenty discount packet if we give them a good review on google. The best part, OC tells us he's glad we got $150 off, the job wasn't as hard as he thought. How do you give a total before the jobs done? These people are scammers. They make you think that it's a big pricey job. Mark told me since I'm not a plumber I wouldn't understand what the job entails and the work level.. I literally paid more because it was sprinkling outside.. and they are trying to buy reviews! Pathetic!!

Desired Outcome

Billing Adjustment I would like this job re-evaluated and broken down to a reasonable price!! Mark said he tells his men to always give a price first. How do you give a price on a job that you can't see? Everything OC did was underground but yet he was able to give a price before hand. Sorry he had to dig a 3ft hole in the rain but $700 is just outrageous. *** $550 is outrageous for what we actually got!!!!

True Plumbers Response

We sent the customer a $50 dollar refund check which is what she requested. We also had the owner call to resolve the issue. *** said she also emailed Revdex.com and said this was resolved.
