True Vacations Reviews (%countItem)

True Vacations does seem to be a scam! I've been trying to book a destination for several months; I have had email correspondence however no consistency and it seems sketchy. I was told once everything was arranged but when I called the lodgings to confirm the booking they had no information and no way of communicating with True Vacations on their end.

I should Have listened to all those who old me this was a scam! Now i'm stuck with no money and no vacation.
I purchased a Take3 Vacations package from True vacations last July.
Mr. Jonathon R was the service rep and he suckered me in like a bee to honey. He explained how he was giving me 3 FREE nights plus $100 travel voucher for only $400. I, like an it, purchased the package and thought I got a good deal.
A few months ago, I tried using my package in Orlando and they told me that since it is of high demand, they would not have any availability and I would need to pay to upgrade my package. This sounded like it makes sense since it was the winter and Florida is packed.
A week ago, I tried booking travel to Portland for this summer with my package. I was on hold 2 times for over 10 minutes before I got hung up on. I used the live chat and didn't get any response either. So I used their online booking portal. I got an email that someone would get back to me in the next 5 days. They did not. When I called this morning - I got hung up on when I was on hold. Finally, I got through to somebody and they told me that they have availability! YAY! one catch - $245 in booking/reservation fees. What the heck does that mean!! I paid a lot of money to get free nights, and yes, I knew that I would have to pay taxes and fees - but that is usually a few dollars! Seriously folks - go on ANY travel / hotel / airline website and they also charge taxes and fees. It's usually only a few dollars! not $245 for 3 night!! I went on a hotel site and found that I could find a hotel for those dates with a total cheaper than that including all taxes and fees!!!
Plus, to add insult to injury they told me which property they would put me in - The Best Western Plus Portland Airport Hotel & Suites. I looked it up and found that I can pay $329 for my dates if I just paid upfront. So True Vacations charged me $400 for 3 free nights and then want to charge $245 for the taxes and booking fees = $645, When I could just pay a total of $329 if I would have just not bought my vacation package!
Another thing. They told me that included in my package was a $100 travel voucher. They said I could use it on attractions, rental cars, and accommodations. It sounded good but when I tried to use it I found out how ridicules this so called "travel voucher" is. They give you a discounted rate off the regular price (usually a few dollars) and take that off your balance. So, if I wanted to book a $100 rental car it would only cost me $97. Not a very good deal. Especially if you are familiar with any of the other good travel websites chances are you can get a better deal than the $97 they are offering as the "Discounted rate" anyways.
I would not recommend True Vacations to anybody and I feel like I was taken advantage of. I was looking forward to spend this trip with my wife and now I may have to cancel it.

Desired Outcome

I would like to get a full refund on my Take3 Vacations package ($400). You can void my vouchers and my travel voucher. I just want my money back as I feel like I was really taken advantage of.

True Vacations Response • Jul 20, 2020

We deeply apologize for the client experience with the Take 3 Getaways customer Service agency. We offer take 3 packages to our client who is not interested in taking the Timeshare presentation. Here at True Vacation, We manage the Timeshare properties which offer amazing properties at a discounted rate. We provide the Customer Service to our Client but If a client purchase a Take 3 package that is a whole different department/ company. We do not have control over their inventory and customer service Representatives. Now In Regards to the Travel Saving Voucher is simply a Voucher that provide you a percentage of savings in different category such as Car Rental, Hotel, Week Getaway and Lifestyle Excursions. The whole amount does not apply unless it over the amount that was given.

Customer Response • Jul 29, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
First of all I was not even offered any sort of timeshare so i'm not sure what you mean. Secondly, you still have not addressed the issue at hand. It is totally ridiculous to sell a vacation package for $400 and then charge an additional $245 for "booking fees" when I can just book that from the property directly for under $400. That is my issue. You are scamming people into thinking they are getting a deal when they are being ripped off. I would like to be refunded because what you are doing is completely inappropriate.

Bought a prepaid vacation from then. It is about to expire. Can not get any response to my inquiry. No information during the virus shutdown, etc.
Spent $200 for a three night vacation to place of my choosing. Can not get any response from them but not want to lose money with expiration looming. Very bad experience with customer service & reservations. For booking late they charge extra fee. Will that be waived due to shutdown? Can you also let me know what state agency I can file a complaint with please?

Desired Outcome

An answer would be nice. Extend reservation exp. w/o late booking fee. Refund preferably but fairness to customers at the very least.

I bought a vacation package, and called to schedule my vacation and no one has responded to my calls. I have also emailed them but no response.
On 08/15/2018, I purchased a vacation package from True Vacation in the amount of $598.00. The package included the following: One room in Myrtle Beach, non-inclusive; One room in Mexico, all-inclusive with one way airport pick up. This package was set to expire on 08/15/2020. I planned to take my vacation on 06/06/2020, but due to COVID-19, I cannot go. Therefore, I called to postpone/ reschedule my vacation. No one has responded to my calls.

Desired Outcome

I am try to get a refund on the purchase I made.

the vacation presented when purchased was not the same when atempting to book the vacation.
I purchased a vacation package 1/11/19 fromTrue Vacations for$498.00,invoice no.***. I believe sales rep was joshua l***(not sure of this). during the sales presentation I was asked if I was married or single. I informed the salesman that I was single and not cohabitating.I was not informed that all of the vacation resorts listed on line would not be available to me and options to me would be significantly restricted.when I attempted to book a vacation at a certain resort I was informed coud not book that site because I was single.the booking agent gave me resorts available. it was obvious that they were inferior sites and none them were on the beach.when I requested a refund ,that person informed me I would have to send a request by mail. I sent two letters on 4/12/19,5/14/19 requesting a refund and never received a response.

Desired Outcome

i am requesting a refund of $498.00.

True Vacations Response • May 20, 2020

We deeply apologizes. Our company were closed due to the Coronavirus update. We will updated once the Refund Department Reopen to discuss your refund. We have patience with us while we are trying to get everything up to date since the Coronavirus Outbreak.

Had to cancel a trip due to COVID-19 and the company has not returned email or calls related to the requested return of prepaid resort fees.
I have given your company more than enough time to respond to my emails. I originally reached out via email on April 16th. I also called and my call was disconnected every time. I reached out to the resort on May 4th. The representative there informed me that he has been communicating with your office via email and received responses. He proceeded to inform you of my cancellation. I have not heard from you 7 days later.

This lack of communication has been an ongoing issue with your company. Any time I make inquires via email it takes a follow up weeks later to ever get a response. When I speak to your company via phone I'm always given the wrong information or pertinent information is withheld.

The package I was sold on Christmas Day of 2018 was never explained that there were restrictions on where I could use the package based on my marital status. Each time I've made or attempted to make a reservation for my two stays I find out that the stay has to be booked in someone else's name due to their gender and marital status.

This was a deceptive marketing practice that as a consumer I do not appreciate. I have emails from your company that confirm that the resorts I inquired about were for single males and then I also have emails from the resort confirming that I cannot due to my status as single male.

I am requesting a full refund of $299 (transaction ***) for the Villa Sol resort fees scheduled for a trip 6/20-6/24 which has been cancelled due to Covid-19 as well as half of my original $448 (invoice TV ***) since I will not be taking the second trip with your company.

Desired Outcome

I would like a refund of $299 for the resort fees previously paid for the cancelled trip as well as $224 for half of the original agreement since the second trip will not be taken.

this is a huge scam. Don't be fooled. I wasted so much time and after being hung up on, left on hold for hours, I finally insisted on speaking to a supervisor. She was responsive and placed us in a hotel near Palermo Sicily but unable to get us into the resort we originally were "sold." We paid over $600.00 for a hotel room a 6 day stay that we could have gotten on line for about $50/night. I just called now to see my options since we cannot travel and have been hung up on 3 times. This company does not deserve to be in business!!!!!!

Company unresponsive to refund requests.
I purchased a vacation package back in on February 7, 2020 from True Vacations and when I tried to book the resort, I learned that all the information I was provided by the agent Ron Warren was false. I was unable to travel with my family and the CostaRica location was not available. I spoke to Karl W, Director and instructed me to send an email to request the refund. When I sent the email, I received the response via email from Claims department stating that I was required to submit the request in writing. I submitted the request in writing and have not heard back from anyone at True Vacations. I would like my $400 back.

Desired Outcome

The information provided to me was fraudulent and deliberately misleading. Mr. W, said they listened to the recording and confirmed that the information provided to me was untrue and the only resolution they had was to provide a refund. Which I agreed to because I don't want to deal with such a company. However, once I started the "refund process" I have received nothing but runaround. All I want is my $400 back.

We paid our fees over phone when initially contacted. We then tried 2 or 3 times to book vacations. The salesman did not sell correctly accordingly.
We tried to book several times of trips per their requirements. 90 days out or more so we did. Was told the resort took reservations 4 months in advance and it would be in at that time, called month after that date they had not put in our request. We placed a email for April 2020 in July of 2019 for a Mecixo location they offered. Then was suppose to get a phone call 14 days max from resort, no calls till 21 days, which is too late. They have continously lied about timeframes, costs and not answered calls or emails. The salesman told us in initial call that as long as we booked out of country 90 days in advance we were good, wasnt true which was in welcome letter that came after we paid our dues. He then stated that only extra fees would be resort taxes yet we have almost double the fee to go from taxes, added fees for people we didnt know about yet we told him up front had 2 kids. This started almost 2 years ago, and have left many voicemails to them no calls. Then when we finally got someone on phone they said they had left voicemails with us and we have no voicemails from them. We now are getting calls from resort yet we told them to cancel this resevation weeks ago after no such call in timeframe they told us and we cannot buy plane tickets now to go, so we cancelled. We paid money and after we paid we signed their welcome letter. Which states no refunds, well we have paid almost $600 and cannot seem to get our services rendered we paid for. We politely asked for a refund since this was not working out and they refuse to refund us monies we paid and yet they have not provided any services they were suppose to. We just want a simple refund and move on our way. We had 2 excited kids and now they are bummed cause this has yet to work out and we have tried to be in their requirements, cannot wait till 30 days out to book flights and this was not explained clearly yet again way back at beginning. We just want a refund of monies paid and be done. I have email trails I can provide if needed.

Desired Outcome

Refund of funds paid at initial call.

Your vacation request was submitted. Please keep in mind we are a third party for Mini-Vac promotions. Your purchase consisted of two vacations for the price of one . They are highly discounted Vacations. The Properties call three to four months prior traveling. We must get a response from the properties . Per your request we did cancel your reservation .

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
We put in our request July 2019, was told it would be done automatically 4 months, then another person replied back to us that they would not confirm till 30 or 45 days in advance. We called first week of February 2020 to confirm it was all handled and you did not have it sent in yet, January would have been 4 months advance. This was never sold to us before we tried to book! We have plenty of voicemails we left your office, many emails and expressing our frustration last July as well. Jimmy our salesman, said unless something crazy only 90 days in advance and in US 60 unless a peak time, we have tried several times to use it and each time something cannot work or extra extra fees. 2 trips are not discounted with all the extra fees that we were not told about either, we knew hotel/resort fees but then there is peak fees, extra people fees(which we told Jimmy day 1 we had 4 people, (2kids,2adults), etc. We have tried to use both US and out of country and neither worked per your salesman. All we are asking for is a refund whether you normally do that or not, you have not provided services we paid for. Simple refund thats all we ask you to do, you have not provided services we paid for, cannot explain anymore simply refund and we are satisfied. You had our card number before we signed docs. Plus we trusted your company to do your part and paid but now you have not stood up to your sale, just refund us our funds.

I would like a refund if $498. Got the run around for weeks on this purchase. It is a scam.
Got a call from True Vacations offering me a vacation package on December 18, 2019. Said I would get a vacation for 4 nights , Out of the country could pick Cancun or Punta Cana, DR, and then another for 5 nights In US such as Orlando, Florida. I purchased it December 18,2019. got files via email , had to sign the form I attached and send back. So I called them January 6, 2020 to book . I booked for February 8 - February 12, 2020. They said it would take 7 to 10 business days to get the final confirmation from the resort. It would be a phone call. So after 2 weeks I call them back. Never got a call or confirmed from hotel. The hotel was Sirenis in Punta Cana. I called True Vacations so many times trying to get this straightened out. All they kept telling me was u have to wait to get a call from the resort. We wanted to stay longer than 4 days so I booked another 3 days on my own. Still never got any call from anyone about the 4 nights I already paid for. So I end up calling the resort myself. Talked to reservation department and they never received anything from True Vacation. Then I figured it was a scam so I called true vacations back. The woman said well let me get ahold of the people up front ?? Put me on hold .Anyhow I knew there was a presentation we had to attend once we got to the resort. This was told to me when we bought this. Never asked me our age when this was purchased. So woman got back on and said oh the reason this never would go through was because of ur age. We r both 66. Anyhow that was when I asked her for a refund. I thought this was a scam. This was on January 24, 2020 and I have not heard anymore from them since then. I have all the paperwork saved so I can send u everything . I tried to upload more on this complaint and it wouldn't let me upload anymore . Thank u

Desired Outcome

I called them and requested my $498 back. She said I would get an e mail how to process the refund. I never recieved anything more about it. I would like a refund ASAP. Thank u

I called ur office today to get the status of my claim. I only got a voice mail to leave my name and phone number.I have not heard back from this businnes..Thank u,I dont accept there offer bacause I never recieved any answer/offer from True Vacations..

I have been trying for 3 months to schedule a vacation I paid for a year ago. Every time I call it's "we'll send you an email." I have yet to receive the email, and yes I check my junk folder too. I also give them my new email address EVERY TIME I call, yet somehow it never gets changed.

I am ready to give up. We were hoping to use our vacation in early April, which is around the corner now. Flight prices will now be ridiculous, whereas when I first began my attempts they were pretty inexpensive.

So, what this company does is sell you a vacation that you pat for up front, then when you try to collect they do everything in their power to make it impossible to give you what you paid for. They wear you out so you give up and call it a loss.

They also sell your information. As soon as you talk to them on the phone, you start getting calls from every travel company out there, with phone numbers that are local and you think it might be a legit call. I don't answer my phone anymore, and it's my business line as well as personal.

My husband and I really need this time away. We are going to settle for something domestic instead of overseas now, because we can't afford the flight plus the cost of a hotel, which True Vacations was supposed to provide. We will have a great vacation, but we will never sign up with one of these travel things again.

True Vacations Response • Feb 12, 2020

Mrs H We do apologize for the inconvenience. This email was previously sent. You Interested Rome and Sicily split vacations. I will follow up and verify, once more we do apologize.

Customer Response • Feb 12, 2020

I never received anything; my email address was not updated the 4 times I tried to change it. I checked both emails and junk mail inboxes and have received nothing. I just checked again, about 5 hours after this response and there is still no email.

In response to an unsolicited telephone call in July 2019, I paid $398 via credit card for a "Vacation Pack" consisting of a week at a "resort of choice" plus a 4-day trip to one of several resorts in the US. I indicated interest in a week in Bali, and was directed to web site which showed 3 resorts from which to choose when my travel dates were confirmed. For the next two months I received emails several times a week containing links to a "D***" website containing an "Invoice" for $398.00 and requesting an electronic signature confirming the transaction. I held off signing these as requested until I got a confirmation for a resort in Bali. I continued to receive these emails for over two months until multiple requests both by email and telephone that they stop were finally honored.

After several attempts to reach True Vacations by phone in August to confirm dates and resort, I got through, indicating my stay would be for only 5 nights rather than a week due to other itinerary constraints. I was told they needed to confirm with the resort via email.
Three and a half weeks later I received an email stating the reservation was "confirmed but the property ... is requesting the payment of the Peak season fee ... to ... fully confirm your reservation... Total: $199 one-time payment".

I immediately responded via email that this was not acceptable given I was requesting fewer days than originally planned and that nothing was said at that time about a possible "peak season fee" for the period I specified. Furthermore, my travel dates were three months away from the two months indicated on the resort's web site as "peak season".

Multiple attempts to call True Vacations during their business hours failed in spite of trying all three choices on their automated phone line (reservations, customer service, and sales), as well as an extension given to me by the original sales agent. Each time I was either put on hold for 5 minutes or more or was redirected back to the main automated menu. In response to a long email exchange, I finally got an email stating "We are going to get back to you tomorrow after 10am, our offices close is a couple of minutes." After waiting four business days, I made 3 more calls before finally getting through to someone. I was told the claims department would call the following day.

Three business days later I called multiple times, finally got through and asked for the claims department and spoke to an agent (Marilyn S) there for about 10 minutes. She said I had to pay the additional $199 because it was high season. I explained why I thought this was unfair and not living up to my original reservation agreement in July. She indicated she would review my reservation and recordings of my phone calls and get back to me. A week later I called for a status, but the extension I was given had a full voicemail box. I finally got through a couple of days later, and Ms S said she would email me a list of other properties in Bali where I would not have to pay anything extra.

The email was received. I replied two days later with a selection from the list. Two weeks later I received an email indicating the resort I selected was fully booked, and requested I select from among six other Bali resorts, among which was the same resort I had previously selected but was subsequently told could only be confirmed if I paid $199 as a "high season" premium. This time the offer did not mention "high season", but stated that there would be an addition $98 fee for breakfast! The resort's website indicates that all rooms come with breakfast included.

After exchanging multiple emails with Ms. S attempting to get clarification on what they were offering me with regard to this resort, specifically clarification that they would not, again, try to assess me an additional charge for high season, and clarification as to what level of service was being offered at the resort, since their web site indicates multiple pricing levels. I also questioned the extra charge for breakfast. She responded they would have to verify with the resort and would contact me the following day. Several days later I called and discussed the status with Ms S for over 20 minutes, concluding with my request for an application for refund of the original #398.

Two days later I mailed the application along with a detailed chronology of my interactions with the firm for the previous three months via USPS Certified Mail, and subsequently received notice that it had been delivered. One month later I sent another email to Marilyn asking for a status report, as the instructions indicate I would receive a response within 30 days. I did not get a response. Two weeks later I called several times, and finally got through, was told my request for refund had been denied, but that she could re-submit it and get back to me in another three to four weeks. I told her that was unacceptable, and I initiated a dispute with my credit card company. The credit card company subsequently provided a me full refund.

True Vacations Response • Feb 12, 2020

Mr A
We did provide the service . We were in contact with you and followed up on every request. We provided you with many other alternatives. My apologies if you felt we did not provide the correct service. Per your last request you did file a dispute once you file the dispute we deal directly with the credit card company. We made our decision and you were refunded by the credit card company. Both things can not be processed.

Led me to believe they were another company. Offered a deal on a trip, never sent confirmation email, don't answer phone, I can't book trip.
A male caller called my cell number on Jan 2, 2020 from phone number 800-234-6169 and during the 18-minute call led me to believe he was from Hilton Grand Vacations. He offered a series of travel deals, first international, then domestic destinations. I asked many questions. When I expressed interest in Orlando, he transferred me to another representative or supervisor named Veronica. Veronica offered me a buy one, get one deal on two trips, each 4day3night stays with no blackout dates good for 24 months, plus a $250 voucher. Destinations and dates (all flexible) could be chosen at the time of booking The deal was for $498, or totaling $546 including taxes.

I gave information for the amount of $546 to be charged to my*** ending in***. The charge went through and has appeared on my January statement.

I was given this Confirmation number (***) over the phone and was promised a confirmation email, which I never received (not even in my Junk or Spam email folders).

I was given an office number (407-201-8783) to call to book the trips. It has an automated answer giving three options (1-reservations, 2-customer service, 3-vacation club). All three options go right to hold music. No one ever picks up. After many attempts to reach the company at this number, I did a reverse look-up of the original 800 number that contacted me and learned that it has been reported as a Robo-caller/scam number.

I have never received a receipt or confirmation of my purchase from this company, and the company is not available for me to book the trips I paid for.

Desired Outcome

I would like the full amount of $546 to be refunded to my credit card. I would like the company to remove my personal and contact information from their databases.

Mr.
We do apologize for the inconvenience we will have Claims Department Call you today.

Customer Response • Feb 17, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I still have not received a call from the company's claims department or anyone else affiliated with the company. 2/17/2020

During a sales call from True Vacations I was mis-lead about a $500 travel voucher. I would like to have what I was promised or a refund.
On December 4th I received a call from True Vacations offering a vacation package deal. The orginal call was made by Ronald, I believe, but was transfered to Karl W. During the call I was offered 2 vacations with accomadaitons being 2 bed 2 bath. The price was negogiated down to $450, included in the deal was a $500 travel voucher that supposedly could be used towards the purchase of rental car or the purchase of *** tickets. Karl even told me that he once used the voucher to pay for his entire family to go to some Amusement park. This of course are not vacations without obligations, which I understood that we would have to set through a time share sales presentation during each trip, I am fine with the sales presentations. I agreed to the terms since I would be purchasing *** tickets for Christmas presents or would be needing a rental in the summer of 2020. I received the welcome packet, invoice TV ***, but the details of the second trip said 1 bedroom 1 bath so I called and True Vacations and they agreed it was a mistake and added a 3rd trip to make up for the mistake. I received and sign the new welcome packet, TV ***. All was good until I decided to use the $500 travel voucher to purchase *** Tickets for christmas presents. The voucher is not $ you can use to ourchase anything, it is a supposed savings if you purchase trough this discount site. I was not happy about this but thought if it saves me the money then that will be fine. I first tried to purchase the tickets, it said I was saving over $100 dollars but when I checked the prices at the *** site it was the same price. So I decided to try for a rental car, no savings there I could actually rent the car myself for nearly $130 cheaper. I called True Vacation and asked for either a refund or $500 worth of savings. I have spoken to a couple of managers that have listened to the sales call and agreed that I was mislead but didn't know how they could issue a refund. I am not trying to get a refund that I do not deserve I just want what I was told that I was getting.

Desired Outcome

I would like $500 in savings towards a purchase of *** Tickets or I would like a full refund of $450.

I do not accept the response from the company, in fact it is not a response it's direction how to activate the "voucher". Plain and simple during the sells call the price of the package, details and amount of the voucher were negotiated. The sells rep said he actually paid for his families entire visit to an attraction with his voucher. Not saying he is lying but you cannot use the "voucher" to pay for anything. I explained the details of the "voucher" in the original complaint. I spoke with a manger after I realized how I was mislead and that I was not getting what I was promised. The manger agree and said he could see how I was mislead after he listened to the Sells call. The last time I called I was given another manger or customer service rep or something. I have not used a service of True Vacations or Travel savings. Neither company will be out anything with a refund. I am not looking for something I do not deserve. I only ask for 1 of 2 things a full refund of $450 or $500 worth of true savings towards the purchase of tickets to universal or a rental car, basically what I was promised. Simple request. Thanks

The Travel Savings Voucher is preview to our Travel Savings. Once you activate your voucher you may take advantage of Hotels , activities and car rentals. The voucher is effective at the moment you log in . The voucher helps you by getting a discount on either your choice of preference in each property, car rental or activity . If you look up the retail price of each activity , property or car rental you will see the difference in the retail price. Its not as good as cash, it is not a gift card or ***.

Unsolicited phone calls to market their business to me despite being on the National Do Not Call Registry since 2015.
Received unwanted phone calls despite being on the National Do Not Call Registry since 2015. These calls are in direct violation of the TCPA including Calls to Cellphones and Telemarketing Calls to Consumers on the Do Not Call Registry. Put me in touch with your legal and compliance department immediately so we can discuss a settlement for TCPA violations.

Desired Outcome

I am willing to discuss options and offers to stop the phone calls.

True Vacations Response • Jan 22, 2020

We do apologize for the inconvenience , but if at one point your phone was disconnected you would have to re sign up and have it connected once more.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This is not the appropriate answer to the resolution sought. There is nothing in my complaint that discusses disconnection/my phone has never been disconnected since I have been on the DNC list. The business called me on two occassions with an unsolicited business purpose even though I am on the Do Not Call list and this is a violation of the TCPA. I would like for them to contact me.

Over 10 calls & 3 emails with little to no response to my concerns led me wanting a refund and them drawing out the process- it's been over 3 months.
Original phone call/contract (never signed) date 9/20/19. Contract did not match phone call- I emailed and called several times before I got a response and an updated contract 10/5 (I tried to get refund but they reassured me service would b better). I called several times to try to set up reservation and it was denied 10/30- even though still listed as open on their website. 11/1 I called three times until I got to actually talk to someone who said they would email me by Monday 11/4 (I work 14 hour shifts and have limited access to phone/availability so why I needed email)- never heard from them in any form phone or email. I emailed that week wanting a response, I emailed them 11/25. I called twice 12/5 and twice 12/6 after being told I would receive emails and call backs within certain time and did not. Eventually I received an email with paperwork saying I could apply for refund within 30 days of purchase date which this is now far past since they have not been responding to me in any timely fashion.

Desired Outcome

I want a refund. I have been spent hours emailing and calling this business which has no regard for my time or satisfaction. I said on the original call and multiple times since all I wanted was my honeymoon package and they denied it even though it is listed available on the website. After calling again, I was told they would set something up for me and never heard from them again despite emailing and calling again. After calling multiple times and emailing for refund they eventually emailed me saying it had to be within 30 days, which they had now taken so long that it is not within that period. I just want to be done with this business and have my money back.

True Vacations Response • Dec 23, 2019

We do apologize for the inconvenience. Since the initial call we did offer a variety of locations to travel and the dates you which to travel were available. We also did provide a list of properties . we will like to remind you that our packages are based on location which we did provide you with other alternatives. Our reservations agent and customer service have dis provide you the information .As part of the alternative we also did provide the opportunity to book you to the property you exclusively wanted with out having to tour. Which you chose not to. Once more let me advise you that we can full fill your vacation.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Part of your statement is an outright lie- you never helped me book with the property I was interested in. I talked to an agent about the property and dates then got an email a week later it was not available then, even though on their site is was available. I called True Vacations then for a refund because I said I would book through the resort itself. Someone at True Vacations said she would organize a package for that location but I'd have to lose part of my current package/offer to other places. I said that was fine and was even willing to pay more. The advisor said she needed a few days to arrange it but I never received an email or call back and on subsequent calls no one knew what I was talking about. With how bad communication is there and no one following up with me on my initial concerns about the contract not matching the called offer and my subsequent concerns during booking, I do not trust your service and want a refund. I have talked to Marilyn S multiple times asking for a refund (my first ask 9/21) and have mailed my written request which Marilyn said Florida law required. I am very disappointed that since September I've asked for a refund and I didn't receive guidance that I would need to do it by mail within thirty days of purchase until December- that is very obvious you will just deny any written requests as being outside the acceptable timeframe. That is a very underhanded practice. I've attached the document stating such that I was emailed 12/6. Let me be clear- I still want my refund. I have asked over ten times. I have spent so much of my time emailing and calling and waiting for responses and stressing about not getting my money back and not getting my trips. No vacation will make up for that, not that I trust an organization with such poor communication to schedule or arrange any of my travel. I want my money back.

True Vacations Response • Jan 27, 2020

You made a reservation with one of our agents . She did provide alternatives for you on the call and by email . Your reservation request was answered by email. Like we said we sell locations not properties.
The Agent provided alternatives for you to travel.

As I've stated multiple times, your service is very poor and your communication nonexistent. I do not want to do business with you. I do not trust anyone there and I have spent over 15 hours wasting my time trying to communicate with you. I want a refund. I do not want your services because you are not reliable. Give me my money back so I can be done with your company. I mailed the refund letter that your agent said was required.

Details of Vacation Package was misrepresented by false information being given to me. I otherwise, would not have made a purchase.
FRADULENT... FRADULENT... FRADULENT!!!
I purchased a vacation package based on the True Vacations Representative stating that in addition to the two vacations, I would have $250 to spend on a rental car or on whatever I wish to spend it on. I was not told that Travel Savings is just that...savings. True Vacations told me that I would have a $250 voucher to spend! I was specific in questions that I ask before purchasing so I understood clearly what was said to me.
After attempting to make a rental reservation online using my voucher, my credit card information was requested. I thought...this doesn't make sense because I have $250 to spend. Therefore, I called Travel Savings and spoke with Chanel who informed me that the voucher was misrepresented by True Vacations which happens a lot.
At this point, I called True Vacations on 12/02/2019 to request a refund. I spoke with Maya who simply said sorry, this is a voucher to receive discounts, not to spend. I then asked to speak with a manager. Maya informed me that the manager, Jonathan O was in a meeting but would call me back. On 12/04/2019 after not receiving a call back from Jonathan O, I called again. I spoke with Maya again who eventually got Jonathan O on the line. In my opinion, It is truly sad that this person is considered a manager. He pretty much tried to manipulate and twists things, ignoring what was originally stated to me. After first telling me that there is no one above him and that he doesn't have a manager, Jonathan O eventually transferred me to Gina, i.e. Operations Manager. Needless to say, I'm not sure who was worse, Gina or Jonathan. It is my opinion that these representatives of True Vacations are fraudulent and pathetic. I will not pursuing my refund!

Desired Outcome

I am seeking a full refund.

True Vacations Response • Jan 17, 2020

We do apologize for the misunderstanding and the inconvenience . The voucher is a gift on our behalf it is not a*** or a cash gift card its a Travel Savings Voucher. The 250 savings helps you peek in to some additional discounts to help you save even more during your trip. What you purchased was two vacations. All terms and conditions have been submitted on your vacation package. Travel Savings Voucher is not attached to your purchase.

Thank you for responding. I do understand clearly what is being stated now. However, what I was promised is clearly different. Without the promise of $250 to spend on travel, I would not have purchased the vacation package. The deal was doable for my family by the $250 to spend on travel since travel is a huge part of vacation expenses. Again, without it, I would not have purchased. It is my belief that this fact is what urged the True Vacation Representative to present the package as she did. I would simply like a refund please.
Very respectfully

I was sold on a vacation for 4 adults back in March. It was false and I have been trying to get my refund since. I did the written notice and nothing
$535 is what they owe me. I have talked to Marilyn multiple times sent emails and Over the phone. My refund was scheduled for today. I've called the office 3 times and it keeps going to voicemail. I just want my money back so I can be done with them.

Desired Outcome

I want my refund ASAP .

We have already reached a graciously agreement with the client. Client reached out to our company receptionist and was notified that her refund will be issued today by 7 pm eastern standard time. Thank You

I was suppose to receive my refund by 7 pm November 14th, which I did not. I called November 15th , was told by the end of the business day , by 5 pm. Still no refund. This process is getting ridiculous and I just want my refund and for this to be handled. It has not been a sled in a customer friendly.
