Horrible company to deal with
I've been trying to get a background check completed for over a month now (so much for the 5-7 days). I have had numerous background checks done for various situations such as volunteering, work, etc., and never had a problem until I had to deal with Truescreen. They do not communicate with anyone! If a problem crops up they just sit on it. E.g. my employer uses a third party to verify employment but that company charges for the service unless it is a government agency inquiring. Truesscreen failed to communicate that just flagged it as a "problem". I resolved that myself, but now we are waiting on criminal background checks from a County I haven't lived in for over 15 years. Their chat screens are useless, you are simply disconnected after waiting for over 30 minutes. Their phone operators are rude and incompetent. They can't even give you a correct case # and constantly have to look up your record using SSN. I requested (and paid for) the background check on November 8th and here we are December 12th and still my record says "Not complete".

This was the worst experience customer service is rude and do not have patience. They have attitudes and obviously do not care if they fix your problems. I called because I was having trouble and the woman was speaking to me like I was a child and got an attitude and hung up.

INCREDIBLY rude customer service. They act as if they have the most important jobs in the world and that we are mere fools who are seeking their immense (ha!) knowledge about their service. At one point the customer service lady was yelling at me about giving her information, which by the way, I could not, because I didn't have access to it on their website. And when I told her about it, she just wasn't able to comprehend that.

I couldn't take it anymore so I called a second time, hoping to get someone better. This guy was equally bad. He helped me out with my problem, sure, but he was so condescending about it, I was furious by the end of it. I have literally NEVER experienced a worse customer service. I'm surprised TrueScreen isn't doing anything about it, given that they have such huge clients.

I had a problem accessing my report. I called Truescreen customer service. When the first person couldn't solve my problem, she became irritated and implied that I'm not following her instructions correctly, which I was. She transferred me to a second person, who asked me the same questions and tried talking me through the same steps. He failed to help me as well, and transferred me to a third person. The third person proceeded to go through the same procedure again. When I told him I already did all these steps, he responded in a rude and unprofessional manner. I'm not sure how, but after trying out a few things on my own, I was able to access my records. Because I was trying to be polite, I thanked him for his assistance , and he promptly hung up on me without saying anything. They not only wasted my time, they were rude and incompetent. I hope I never have to deal with them again.

Review: Truescreen did a background check for a job I was being considered for with [redacted]. upon receipt of my copy of the report, there were egregious inaccuracies in the form of comments and content which proved prejudicial to the prospective employer's offering me a position. errors such as documenting that I have "admitted" to criminal offenses in another state in which I never lived. many other instances of false information or libelous verbiage was used as well and upon contacting Truescreen, the representative sent me an email of where to respond with my grievances, the corrections to be made and investigated. when I submitted the suggested documentation to the department I was advised to send to, it was subsequently sent right back to me stating I had the incorrect report # and was sending to the wrong department. I verified the correct information to send via the representative I spoke with-report # and to send to the "dispute" department-prior to submission, and when I sent it back to the dispute department, it has since been ignored (no response back). this has hurt my chances for employment based on erroneous reporting and now Truescreen is refusing to engage (not responding to my communications to them, ignoring this issue)me in getting these false accusations corrected not only in their database, but those of third party entities they rely upon to verify data.Desired Settlement: false accusations/information reported corrected as well as corrected report submitted to myself and the prospective employer
