Review: I have been a customer of Tru Green for the past 3-4 years and there service gets worse and worse. I have to call and call to get a prepaid lawn treatment. They make an appointment, and even call a few days in advance saying that they will be here on the agreed date and then they will not show up.

They were suppose to be here last Thursday (31st) and did not show up. In fact they called twice saying that they would do the lawn treatment and another call saying that they would do some repair aeration and seeding on the same day. Neither service people showed up.

I called this am to set up another day for the lawn treatment and we agreed on Tuesday (5th) When I called this afternoon to confirm I was told that my treatment was scheuled for Wednesday (6th).

It just goes on and on!t

Finally their treatments are so weak I have to supplement the fertilizing with my own feeding in some locations.

I was always taught that a man's word was as good as his bond. Nobody taught this to Tru Green.Desired Settlement: Do the work they have contracted to to do and been paid in advance for, in a timely and agreed manner.

Review: TrueGreen had been servicing my front lawn for almost a year when I added my backyard to the service. It was at this time or shortly after that the local TrueGreen representative started to push for me to do aeration and seeding through them. I repeatedly told them no. He finally wore me down with what he called the best deal of the year and the promise that I could cancel the service at any time. He also assured and promised me that that TrueGreen would call and let me know the service was going to be performed before it was done thus affording me the opportunity to cancel the service at that time if I so desired. Around the week of 8/19/2013 I received my standard automated call from "[redacted]" at TrueGreen letting me know they were coming out to service my lawn and there was no need for anyone to be there. As this was the same message I had received numerous times before I thought nothing of it. They were coming out for my standard service call. On 8/27/2013 I came home and found the TrueGreen sign in my front yard indicating they had been, when I checked it not only had they sprayed the yard they had aerated and seeded! I never received the prior notification I was assured would be issued to me so that I could cancel. In addition they aerated and seeded in almost 90 degree weather when the ground was hard as a rock. I had to traipse all over my yard to even find proof that they had done the aerating they said they had done. After this took place I called immediately (8/27/2013) and was told I would have to speak to a manager none were available but they would contact me. I have now called them at least SIX TIMES gotten one call back from a manager who after hearing my complaint explained he was the feild services manager and he was told I wanted aeration and had not received it, that for my complaint I needed to talk to another manager, he would have him call me, never got a call. To add insult to injury on 9/10/2013 I got a bill for almost $500 for the aeration and seeding due 9/18/2013.Desired Settlement: I do not feel I should have to pay the $487 being charged to me. I was assured at the time of my commitment to this service that I would be afforded the opportunity to cancel prior to the service. That I would receive a call prior to the service letting me know the aeration and seeding was going to be conducted; I was never given that opportuntity and the service was done without the my knowledge or consent.

Review: Trugreen charged $ 330 for fall aeration and seeding. Still large bald areas on front and rear lawn. Despite several calls, no attempt to fix.

Trugreen charged me $ 330 for fall aeration and seeding.

No seeds have germinated in large barren areas of my lawn on the sides of the house, in the lawn adjacent to the driveway, and at the front left side of the lawn by the curb.

I have called them 3 times (once per week) and they have assured me they would come and address the issue but they haven't made an attempt to do so.Desired Settlement: Full refund of the $ 330 charged and paid by me. There has been NO germination of seeds allegedly put down by Trugreen as part of this service.

Despite several calls, they have not come out to try to correct the issue.

As a service connected disabled veteran with anxiety conditions, this is an extremely stressful issue and Trugreen's indifference to fulfilling the contract has caused a lot of stress.

Since they have not done what they were paid to do, and have not attempted to do so af

Response:

Upon review of the account, TruGreen has made numerous attempts to go out and redo the aeration and seeding. If the seed is not receiving recommended watering there will be little if any germination. TruGreen has cancelled the account and requested a refund check in the amount $330.75. The check will be processed and mailed by the corporate office in Tennessee. Please allow two to four weeks for receipt of check.

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response. If you wish, you may update it before sending it.]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Please note that the business' statement of making numerous attempts to redo the task and comments about watering are false and misleading;

in point of fact, I called the business four times and they said they would send someone out to redo the work.

Despite four scheduled appointments, the business rep did not show up as scheduled.

Nevertheless, as long as the business refunds my payment in full, as they've indicated, I am satisfied.

Regards,

Review: I have been subscribed to the TruGreen service for more than one year. I decided to cancel my subscription to the service last year. They offered my a discount rate of $39 per service. I agreed to that rate and agreed to continue with the service with that rate.

For the first two services they did charge me for the $39 per service. However, for the third service, they charged me for $56. Before I was aware of the unauthorized price change, they applied for the fourth service already and charged me $56 for the fourth service.

My complain is they did not honor the pricing agreement I have agreed to.Desired Settlement: I already paid them for the first two services. I am willing to settle the third and fourth service with the $39 rate that both sides originally agreed on.

Response:

TruGreen received the payment of $78.00 and notified TSI to cease collection efforts.

Review: Tru Green contacted me on 2JUN13 and ask me for Tree and Shrub service which is 49.50 each for 5 times and I committed but since then they set up an appointment NO SHOW 3 times, I call [redacted] office on 7/19/13 and a manager's name [redacted] promise me this time they definitely show up on 23JUL13, he apologize for the No Show 3 times and give me the first 2 services half price which is 24.75 each, but NO SHOW again on 7/23/13, How can a company treat a client like that and totally unacceptable, I called in today to cancel the Tree and Shrub service and absolutely do not want to deal with this company any more, Tru Green is the worst company I have ever deal with, I think they owe me an official explanation and apology even though they don't care!Desired Settlement: an written apology and give me credit for the lawn service which I already paid for

Business

Response:

[redacted] spoke with **. [redacted] on August 2, 2013 and apologized. The apology was accepted. **. [redacted] stated that he did not authorize tree and shrub application and TruGreen has agreed to credit the tree and shrub balance. **. [redacted] has [redacted]'s cell number for future concerns.

Review: I paid in full with my lawn services(6 times) in April, the first service supposed to be on 16APR but TRU GREEN cancel it without notice and came on 22APR. Then I paid for aeration, service for cancelled 2 times then a manger from TRU GREEN called me (his name is [redacted]) said aeration should be done in SEP or OCT is better for the lawn but a guy show up on 13MAY without notice to do the aeration!

My second service was scheduled on 31MAY13 but again, I called to reconfirm and they change to 05JUN13 for no reason, then I call again on 2JUN to make sure and the appointment was postponed to 10JUN13 due to technician is sick.

I have complaint so many times and they keep saying someone will contact me but NOBODY call me!!!

I feel so sorry to pay in full to a company like TRU GREEN so irresponsible and totally ignored their clients, it is unacceptable keep changing appointment day for NO REASON and WITHOUT NOTICE.

DO expect they can answer the questions above, cheating people is not the right way to run business!!!Desired Settlement: I have 5 more services on my contract which I paid in full already, I do need services can be on time without changing my appointment day and without notice.

Hope at lease somebody who care from TRU GREEN can either call me or email or write me a letter to apologize for what I have suffered for the past couple months.

Business

Response:

I looked into the history and we did the application on June 5th. I called the technician to get some information about how the visit went. The tech [redacted] said everything was fine. I also called [redacted] and he said that the tech called him that morning and went there to do app. [redacted] met with him on property and was very pleased with the work of the technician. He said his lawn looks great now. I even offered him a free service call if needed but mr declined. He just doesn’t like the scheduling system. He simply wants a call if we will be rescheduling a service.

Review: I called to pay my final bill and request my contract in November 2013 due to unsatisfactory results. I asked that the call be recorded and was told that it was. Then the company trespassed on my property in April 2014, providing unauthorized "service" and sending me a bill. When asked to play back the call that I was told was recorded, they conveniently had lost the recording. When asked to provide a phone number, name and mailing address to contact their legal department, I was given an email address and told that there was no phone number or mailing address. A second call - after threatening to hang up on me because I was unhappy with the lack of service - I was given a general phone number, but no mailing address. I explained clearly that I needed to send a certified letter to the legal department but all they will give is an email address and a phone number to their "customer care". Their repeated refusal to cancel my service, trespassing on my property without permission and billing for services that were not authorized is clearly illegal.Desired Settlement: 1. Stop trespassing on my property.

2. Stop sending bills for services that were not authorized.

3. Do not attempt to send "past due amount" to any collections agency or otherwise attempt to commit libel or slander that will negatively impact my credit history.

Response:

Upon review of the account, TruGreen issued a credit in the amount $133.46 June 27, 2014; the account has a zero balance. An email was sent to [redacted] stating the charges were removed.

Review: I cancled service w/ Trugreen on Aug. 6 I was informed w/had a credit and it would be refunded. Since then we somehow have been charged $11.44. I began to recieve notices from collection agency and began calling Trugreen in Sept. I have been now keeping a log. I called on 12-3, 1-15/operator [redacted], 1-28/operator [redacted], he was very rude. I called again on 1-28,operator [redacted] gave me a confermation # of[redacted] and said that was the end of it. On 2-12 I got another notice from the collection agency. On 3-4 I got another bill from Trugreen.Desired Settlement: PLEASE STOP SENDING ME BILLS I DON'T OWE. I have asked for a written confermation that the account was closed and has a $0.00 balance and was told they don't do that. I would like to have one.

Business

Response:

Placed a credit on the account for 11.44 and cancelled all services.

Regards,

Review: My car was parked in front of a resident when a TruGreen specialist came to service the lawn. When I glanced out the window, I saw the truck carrying extra equipment and said to myself, "wow the truck has a long bed on it today". When I left the resident, broken glass pieces were in the street, I followed the trail and saw my back rear tail light and bumper was broken/damage. The first words out of my mouth were, "that TruGreen truck hit my car" because the long bed on the truck was backed into my car. When the supervisor came out to investigate he and the driver denied the accident and said, "the truck did not have an extension" I was stunned. They both denied the truck was at fault and did not offer any assistance toward my deductible for repairs; now I'm stuck with paying the bill for an accident I KNOW TruGreen was responsible.Desired Settlement: My desired outcome would be for TruGreen to refund me the deductible and rental car fees I'm responsible for paying through the insurance company.

Business

Response:

Upon conducting a thorough investigation of this claim and inspecting the vehicles and the scene, TruGreen does not feel we caused the damage claimed due to the following inconsistencies:

Different height between the carrier on the truck and the tail light

Distance our truck was parked from vehicle

No markings or scratches on the TruGreen truck

No evidence linking TruGreen's truck to the damage other than being seen in the vicinity.

Review: I continue to have an ingoing issue with the lawn treatment service Trugreen has been providing to my lawn. I emailed the company about the recent treatment made in June. I first contacted the manager on June 2, and then sent a follow-up email on August 3. The company has not properly treated our entire lawn since we still have lots of weeds even after receiving services with them. I emailed stating that we again did not receive treatment on our entire lawn. I have not received a response but received a bill stating it will forwarded to collection. Receving this letter is quite upsetting since I am being wrongfully charge for the amount of 47.10 even though the services was not completed properly.Desired Settlement: I donot want my account sent to collection for incomplete services which was provided by Trugreen. I prefer not to pay for the amount of 47.10 but if it is not possible I would like retreatment of our front and back lawn with my supervision. I have requested to the company on multiple occasion to contact us prior to making treatment to make sure someone is home but they have yet to follow instructions.

I called and spoke with [redacted]. [redacted] 8/6/2013 at 4:30pm and told her that I was removing the bill. [redacted]. [redacted] said ok, and thank you. I asked her if there was anything else I can do for her and she said no.

Review: I have had Trugreen for several years as a lawn care company - for the first few years, they were okay . . . now they have a new system. They NO longer tell you when they are coming, they will NOT send you a postcare saying when they will treat your lawn - so far, I called them to asked when they will treat my lawn in 2013; they said April 5 - NOBODY SHOWED UP. I called them again, they re-scheduled for April 12, NOBODY SHOWED UP. I called their headquarters and they were to get right back to me; I still haven't heard from them . . . that is the reason I am contacting you. This company has a whole new system where nobody cares - I doubt if they'll even rectify the problem after you contact them - kind of hard to believe the economy is this bad and companies don't care about thier business.Desired Settlement: I want them to tell me when they are going to treat my lawn and I want them to promise to be here

TT mr today 4/26/2013...application was done on 4/17/2013. Mr is upset with our new phone system. He is ok now, we credited the application for his inconvience.

Review: I have been using Trugreen Chemlawn for lawn treatment for more than 10 years but lately I have been receive poor service from them. Since last year I have contacted the company on several occasions about improper treatment of the lawn and left instructions on multiple occasions. 1. I informed them to contact me prior to making treatment. 2. Asked them to come any day except Tues and Thurs so that I would be able to see if they were properly treat my lawn. 3. Ask they put the lawn treatment notice (Yellow flag) in the backyard to make sure they treated my front and especially my backyard. Even though I made these special request they continue to ignore them. The last time I contacted the company was December 2012 and I requested a return call from a manager which I still have not received a call back. Lastly, it is nearly impossible to reach a live person on their customer service line and if you end up reaching someone the phone line disconnects. I am disputing the payment for the 4 different treatment dates 3/8, 5/24, 7/20, and 12/5 because the company treated only front year but charged me full price and took full payment. I do not feel it is right for the company to charge me the entire amount when only partial treatment was done which is why I am disputing this with Trugreen. I have not received a resolution from the company and hoping Revdex.com will be able to assist me.Desired Settlement: When I reached a live person, I requested a retreatment but the representative said that would not be possible since I did not contact them early enough. Unfortunately, I was unable to reach anyone shortly after service received because their customer service line was never working properly. I have had this issue with them since 3/8/12 and now I wanting a refund for partial services they provide for 4 treatment visits.
