Truly Nolen treated my house for termites. On the first initial visit by the service coordinator, Christian ***, he did not ask what type of wiring I had in my home. They sent the technician, Michael to treat my home, he went into the attic to look around and came back down and his only concern was that I had to remove the items that were stored up there before he could treat it. We did so, and he went back up and sprayed the attic with their chemicals. Half of the electric in my home shut off and he came down from the attic and stated "I sprayed some wiring up there and it sparked and it caused your electric to go out". He then called his branch manager Lisa and reported the issue, she then gave him electricians that they had an account with and he arranged for one to come to my house to fix the electric issue. They ended up sending out *** Electric Co. to my home the next day. Their electrician Jeremy inspected the attic and stated that I had Knob and Tube electric in my attic and that the Truly Nolen technician should of seen that and should not have sprayed that, he said "It is like dropping a toaster in a bathtub" He told us that Truly Nolen did cause the damage to the breakers and they should be responsible. He left stating it would probably cost $7000.00. He left without fixing the electric. Once I finally contacted Truly Nolen to find out when they were going to fix my electric, they told me that *** told them it would cost $25,000 to rewire my home, which is not what needed to be done nor what I asked for. Truly Nolen then turned it over to their Loss Control department. I was told I would hear from them within 48 hours and I did not. I finally had to contact them and spoke to Bob ***, who is very rude by the way. Bob *** told me, they closed my account and will not fix the electric issue. They only did half the treatment for termites and blew out electric in my home for over a week now. This is an awful company to deal with!

Desired Outcome

Refund I would like them to pay for the electrician that is coming to fix the damage they caused. They should also reimburse me for fish that died due to them spraying chemicals in the wall that the tank was on. The room the fish tank was in, never lost electric. However after they sprayed chemicals in the wall all of my fish died within 2 days. They claimed that the chemicals were safe for fish, this is not true! They did refund my down payment. Truly Nolen is aware of this issue and has been in the process of resolving this complaint for the customer. Truly Nolen has also refunded the customer all of her monies paid. This complaint is now being handled by our Loss Control department from this point on.

I clearly stated that my down payment was refunded. However Truly Nolen has caused electrical damage in my house and Loss Control has refused to pay for the repairs. They have openly admitted that they caused the damage but they refuse to fix the issues they have caused! Very poor customer service, very bad business ethics and terribly rude people. How is it morally right to enter a customers home, cause major damage and refuse to resolve the problem??

I am in receipt of the complaint filed by Tina ***, ***, Haines City, FL 33844.
I am familiar with the complaint, have investigated the circumstances, and discussed this matter via phone with
Ms.. I did not consider myself rude in my phone conversation, but only relaying facts that Ms.
did not care to acknowledge.
The facts are clear:
1) Truly Nolen contracted to do termite work at the residence which involves liquid treatment in the attic.
2) Truly Nolen was not told of the "knob & tube" wiring (97 years old). There was a short circuit at the outset
of our treatment resulting in loss of power in half of the residence.
3) We hired (and paid for) a licensed electrician to investigate and repair, if possible.
4) The report we obtained from *** Electric, Inc. is enclosed.
5) According to the report, the home needs to be rewired completely in order to meet current code and
safety standards.
6) The cost is estimated at over $25,000 and not Truly NoIen's responsibility to pay.
7) We refunded all monies paid and cannot proceed any further.
8) We did no application that would have caused the fish to die.
I am sympathetic to the situation Ms. Friedman is confronted with, but it is not Truly Nolen's responsibility to
proceed any further than we have.

First and foremost your employee, Christian did not inspect my attic on the day he came to inspect and walk the house, which in my opinion that should of been done, any professional would have done so! Second your technician, Michael, did not find an issue with the electric in my attic when he did his first inspection, again, any professional would of found the issue with my home having old wiring and announced that, before preceding with the treatment. It is the responsibility of the business to ask or find what type of wiring is in my home before having someone sign a contract and continuing on with a treatment! Because your people did not know what they were doing, I lost electric in my home and now you refuse to pay for the damage that you admitted causing. I did not expect Truly Nolan to pay for an entire re-wire in my home, as I clearly stated in my earlier statements, however I do expect Truly Nolan to at least pay for the electric they did damage. Even *** stated that Truly Nolan was responsible for 1/3 of the cost and I would be responsible for the other 2/3 of the cost. But Truly Nolan told me outright that they would do no such thing! And I have not spoken to this company or heard from them since October 31st, so by no means are they working with me on this. The loss of electric is 100% due to Truly Nolan carelessly spraying the wires in my attic. Truly Nolan is a terrible company to deal with and very unprofessional! They obviously do not know what they are doing. Truly Nolan should step up and pay me a portion of the bill that an electrician is charging me to fix the issue they caused! If anyone is reading this, do not do business with this company, they are unprofessional, uneducated and very rude people. Their customer service is horrible. Be smart and read all the reviews on this company, trust me!!!

After an initial large charge to start the contract with ongoing treatment, Truly Nolan did not honor their contract & canceled me due to their error.
I started this contract to be proactive with my Florida rental condo in Sandcastles #***, Cocoa Beach, FL. On February 7, 2019, I signed a year contract with Alan *** for an initial "intensive" treatment with four quarterly treatments to follow for $1,097.82.

02-09-19 - Initial treatment
I asked at that time that they come in April instead of March because we had renters all of March.

02/13/19 - I requested and received a discount on my contract because of a problem that Truly Nolen caused in another unit I was renting. So then my total payment for the year contract was $792.87

04/15/19 - Called the Truly Nolan office to check why I hadn't heard from them to schedule & Lydia said she needed to check with Alan to see when we were due for treatment

05/03/19 - 1st Quarterly treatment. Marty treated the wrong unit (709) & then Jennifer (Condo Hostess) caught him on his way out & told him that he had treated the wrong condo so he then sprayed my unit ***.

05/09/19 - Left Alan a message on cell - 321-*** with my concerns with getting all of my quarterly treatments done before the next contract. Alan called back & we worked out a July, Sept, & Dec/Jan schedule before the contract renewed in Feb 2020
Alan said he would talk with his manager & see if he could get my quarterly amount down to $90 a treatment with the same bedbug guarantee since this is preventative & I have not had any issues so far.

June sometime - Marty called me to make sure he was supposed to be treating *** that day & I said no because they had just been there in May & I was supposed to set something up for July.

06/19/19 - Emailed Alan to schedule July treatment... supposedly he answered & I didn't receive the email

06/21/19 - Called to follow up & we scheduled the 2nd quarterly treatment for July 29

07/16/19 - Emailed Alan to ask if the 07/29 treatment could be changed to 07/30, but I didn't hear from him...supposedly this time he didn't receive the email.

07/18/19AM - called the Truly Nolen office & spoke with Chelsea who told me that I was getting a refund of $481 but didn't know why. Her "admin" (maybe Lydia?) would have to call me back

07/19/19PM - never heard from 'admin" so I called again & spoke with M____ - she talked with Lydia & because I had "missed too many treatments", they were cancelling my contract. I argued that I had not canceled & rather they had messed up every step of the way. According to the office Alan was a part of this decision.

07/19/19PM - Called Alan who acted like he was merely a fly on the wall when he "heard them discussing it just this morning" & he'd get it worked out Monday morning.

Because Truly Nolen is ridiculous & I am done dealing with their crazy I sent the following text to Alan.

Hi Alan- I'm ok with you refunding my contract. As far as I'm concerned you should refund me every dime I've paid to Truly Nolan because I didn't have a pest issue from the start and you guys have not held up your end of our agreement.

07/24/19 - Called & Lydia answered. T
She said they will refund $471. She said that they didn't charge me for May which was my first real answer to what the initial problem likely was... Truly Nolen (Marty maybe) never properly documented their 1st quarterly treatment & then canceled me without letting me know or checking with me. I requested a full refund because the initial high cost payment is for the contract guarantee of no pests, but Lydia had no comment.

07/27/19 - Received refund of $471.87.

Desired Outcome

I am officially requesting a full refund of all amounts paid to Truly Nolen because they clearly did not provide customer service as promised at the contract signing & did not honor the contract that would protect me from any pest issues in the future due to their own incompetency. There is no reason for me to pay a large up front fee to have future protection when I didn't have a pest issue to start with & Truly Nolen messed up time & time again. I am requesting the remaining $321 that I paid to them that they did not refund.

The branch manager reviewed the customer's complaint and her account with Truly Nolen. The branch manager called the customer to discuss her complaint and agreed to give her back full refund as she has requested. It will be processed as soon as possible.

Contract and service issues.
I used this service for a year and everything was great until it came time to end the year service. I was not given a heads up that the next service performed was going to charge me $105. I paid over $2000 with this company and feel it was a "sneaky" way of getting more money. When my fiance called to explain this to them he got the "you signed this contract stating this would happen." Well the contract was signed over a year ago, and felt when the technician came to perform the service they should have stated they were going to charge us for that service prior to coming. I feel bad for the technician that comes to perform the services because he is very nice and I never once had an issue with his performance. Although my yard is still over run with ants, does not seem their product works as stated. I still have not heard from a manager either, which they told my fiance one would contact me. It has been over 2 weeks now.

Desired Outcome

I paid the $105 so I would not go to collections, but I would like a refund, especially since I still have ants after the service was performed.....

the District Manager called the customer to explain our contract and apologize for the miscommunication on our part and had concerns about her ant issues and offered to send a tech out one more time to treat. The DM agreed to cancel her account and waive the $105. She was appreciative of that and let him know she did renew the termite and would call us if needed.

Truly Nolen sent my closed account to collections, even though they just issued a refund for overcharging me.
Truly Nolen has been a nightmare since I cancelled their service. Even though they recently issued a $140.00 refund to me after the debacle explained below, I have now received 2 letters from a collections agency which claim I owe an unpaid balance of $84.00.

I called Truly Nolen's corporate office in May 2018 to inquire about an additional charge in excess of my monthly service fee. The representative was extremely rude, would not explain the charge, and refused to put me in touch with the local Sanford office, so I had him cancel my account after paying the unexplained fee.

Even though I had cancelled, Truly Nolen continued to charge my credit card the monthly service fee, so I contacted the local office to work things out. The local representative asserted that I had never cancelled my account and that I also owed a hefty cancellation fee per a contract I had allegedly signed with them.

When I asked to see a copy of what I had signed, the customer service rep emailed a contract to me that was signed by someone else, which was obvious because the name and signature were spelled incorrectly.

When I pointed out the incorrectly spelled signature to the Truly Nolen rep, I was told that her manager had advised that I can still be held to the contract because someone else, such as a minor child, could have signed it on my behalf. I am pretty sure my 8 month old son did not sign a contract with Truly Nolen, and it is outrageous to suggest that I can be held responsible for an unenforceable contract signed by a minor.

This whole situation was eventually elevated to the general manager who assured me that I did not owe any money to the company. In fact, Truly Nolen issued a refund to my credit card after this entire debacle because I had been overcharged.

I have now received 2 letters from a collections agency asserting that I owe the company $84.00 and that this "debt" will be reported to the credit bureaus if I do not pay it. After the initial letter, I contacted the local office yet again and they have told me that I do not have a balance on my account, yet I just received another letter.

I now have the unfortunate tasks of dealing with a debt collector and challenging a derogatory mark on my good credit, all because I chose to take my business elsewhere because of bad customer service. Truly Nolen needs to make this right.

Desired Outcome

Verify in writing that their debt collector will not contact me again in writing or by phone, that they will not report this alleged debt to the credit bureaus and that my closed account does not have an outstanding balance.

The manager spoke with Mr. regarding his complaint and there was some confusion due to the multiple accounts Mr. has with Truly Nolen.

As a gesture of good will, we are removing Mr. from collections and also removing the $84 balance on the account.

I had truly Nolan come out was informed that it was $500.00 to start the process; a tech came out and stated fumigation was needed. Without any permission, the money was taken out and $126.00 more than I was quoted. When I called the office Dave the head tech told me the money would be returned the same day. Nothing was returned and I still have no answer to why it was taken after multiple times of calling the office was told he was emailed and text to contact me. No answer so I'm filing this complaint because of false representation and negate

The refund for this customer was processed yesterday before this complaint was made. We cannot control how long the banks take to credit back the funds, however, we have already taken care of this.

I hired Truly Nolan for my rodant issue, they would come every other day and set two traps. I have a fairly large home so two traps weren't doing anything. Their policy is three kills and they stop coming, but the problem still was active. They also became smart and avoided the traps. I have to call Nolan many times to set up traps, get my own traps and finally they did a smoke test and said they found a hole in the bathroom and that was already plugged up so there wasn't any openings for the rodants to get in. So basically 800.00 dollars later, I still have the problem so I contacted Corporate and they came out and basically did nothing. I still have the problem and Truly Nolan is who I trusted and I obviously made a big mistake ....Beware of Truly Nolan...

Both the branch manager and district manager have r3eviewed this customer's request. At this time as a gesture of goodwill we will give back $200 for customer to get a licensed plumber to check the plumbing especially in the kitchen. We have been to the property twice to check the work and everything is sealed based on work we did. This has being verified by multiple people in our company and since then, we did a smoke test paid by us, and at no charge to the customer. The smoke test did reveal that the customer has a plumbing issue. Unless the customer fixes the plumbing issues, then the rats will still be a problem at this property.
