Review: My husband and I pulled his credit report and found an unexpected delinquency in the amount of $16. It dropped his score from the mid 700's down to the 600's! Talk about being sick to your stomach. We called the phone number given for the delinquency to find out what it was and the company was closed for the day. My husband called the next morning and [redacted] told him it was for a bill from Trumbull Radiologists from 5/30/12. He paid it right then. We then called Trumbull Radiologists to find out why we never received a bill because when my husband went to St. Joe's Urgent Care on 5/30/12 we received a bill from St. Joe's on 8/9/12 for $143.90 and we paid it a week later so why wouldn't we pay a $15 bill? I spoke with [redacted] in the billing dept. at Trumbull Radiologists and asked her why we didn't receive a bill. She stated they mailed us bills but never called us. I asked her what address she mailed the bills to and she said our street address but the incorrect city (Warren) - I corrected her - we don't live in Warren and gave her our correct city. She said that was the problem and she shouldn't have reported this to collections, she apologized and said she would talk to her manager and get back to me "early next week". I never heard from her so I called her back in exactly 1 week and she said she "still needed to get some things together on it" and she'd call me back. I didn't hear from her after another week so I called her again and she said "just pay the bill and [redacted] would call the collection agency and have it removed" - I reminded her we already paid it through the collection agency the day we found out about it. [redacted] said "oh ok I will have [redacted] call right now and remove it". I called [redacted] a few days later and left a message. [redacted] called me back and said "the collection agency wouldn't remove it because it's too old." I said this is unacceptable and she told me to try calling the agency and explain they had the wrong city and ask them to remove it.Desired Settlement: Trumbull Radiologists to call [redacted] and demand them to remove and delete this claim completely from my husband's credit report. When I spoke to the collection agency they said Lisa from Trumbull Radiologists "asked" if they would remove it, she didn't "tell" them to remove it. If the company that mails the bill, mails it to the wrong address, and reports it to collections, they should tell collections to delete the claim and it should be executed.
