This company is ridiculousI met with the lady paid some of the deposit she told me I got the place references checked out etcmins later shes showing a friend of ours the placeThen after already paying deposit she adds the fact theres a last months rent needed besides the first month and depositShe takes our $deposit then sends me a lease saying the deposit is non refundable and its a year lease and almost everything in the lease is nothing I would ever agree to from the no pets which she knew ahead of time from texts I had to the part saying they can come anytime they want between 9am and 9pm ...wtf she also stated they were putting gas heat in when I called to get electric hooked up the lady says that you pay months deposit to get it hooked up and the electric runs $so it would be $just to hook up electric since they still had not added gas heat like she said,I told her to return $of the deposit and she could keep the $for any inconviencesin which there isn't because she still showed the house and never took the ad down so it was being advertised the entire time and still is ( I have screen shots of everything including the advertising and reciepts) WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE IM NOW OUT OF $which I will be talking to a lawyer about since I didn't know anything about the "NON REFUNABLE" part till she already had our money and sent the lease saying it .I never signed thatand a waste of time driving back and fourth to the town and the money I paid to have the internet hooked up there , then tries to tell me they still want to work with us smh very unprofessional and rude to not refund any of the deposit and I wont let it slide

TSI rents properties tailored towards students and new renters in St Cloud State University's surrounding neighborhood, and they take advantage of first-time rentersTSI required us to pay for our own trash services, but they refused to allow us to rent a dumpster big enough for the number of tenants in our 4-unit buildingSo we are paying for our own trash services, but TSI didn't give us the option to choose the level of trash service that met our building's needs which resulted in the garbage can overflowing every weekTSI also cited in our lease that we can keep the property clean of trash & maintain the common areas of the building (sweep, shake out rugs, etc.) in exchange for free access to a washer & dryer in the buildingWhen one of the machines broke mid-lease, TSI refused to fix or replace it because our neighbors failed to assist in keeping the property clean on their designated time-periods to do soWe were denied access to free laundry while in compliance with our lease because of the actions of our neighbors, who are separate tenants on a separate lease in a separate unitThis resulted in several months of lost income from paying for coin laundryUpon move-out, several charges for cleaning were cited that we had completed on our ownFor example: We cleaned out the cupboard shelves in the kitchen multiple times, and this was cited as a charge in our security depositThese are old tattered kitchen cabinets that have decades of wear-and-tear, as well as irreversible burns and stains that cannot be wiped awayThe owners are very friendly and personable but they aren't willing to financially support the professional services and upkeep required for a building so datedThe building is drafty and poorly insulated, I would not recommend tenancy with TSIThere are plenty of rental properties surrounding their rental properties and I would strongly consider your options before signing a lease with TSI

TSI realty has a lot to be desired when it comes to landlordsWhen I moved in my apartment was very dirty, last tenants old socks in the closet kind of dirtyNot only did we have to scrub our apartment prior to moving in but we had a large amount of ear wigs and other bugs everywhere (this is still an issue)They required a ridiculous amount of money to move in as "security deposits"They send emails saying we are behind on rent or owe money, but when asked to provide an invoice or statement, they will not respondThey only time they do get in contact with you is when they think you owe money, not any time when you need somethingI suggest renting from anyone but TSI
