Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: [redacted] says he received an engine at his shop that he ordered for meI cancelled in early AugustSo why is he receiving the engine when I cancelled months agoAnd it doesn't take a company months to refund himSo if he never cancelled the machine I shouldn't be getting charged a 20% cancellation feeHe asked for my address Oct 10,to mail a checkHe was given the addressTwo weeks past and still hadn't received anythingThen Nov 4, [redacted] said he would do a wire transfer the following MondayNov 7, I asked [redacted] if he had transferred the moneyNov 8, he said he hadn't had time to go to the bankNov 11, I asked when he planned on doing the transfer [redacted] never respondedNov12, I asked again when I was going to get my money [redacted] proceeded to tell me to come get it in person and to come get MY motor that he received in Nov that I cancelled in August Nov 14, I responded to his message and asked who I was getting my refund from and when I would be receiving itThe company [redacted] ordered the engine from, is not going to let him keep the engine and give him a refundAnd it shows he read the message when it was sent and today is Nov20, and he has not responded Sincerely, [redacted] ***

Customer was told prior to ever bringing machine to my shop that I had a large back log of work so it would be months till I could get to his machineI did tell him if he still wanted to bring it in I could check it over and give him an evaluation as well as an estimate so he knew where he stood
I'm one of the few shops within several states that still work on these old machines so maintain at a minimum 6mo backlog of work, even longer on more in depth repair workHe was made fully aware of this prior to bringing it to my shop and even asked if he paid extra or upfront could he get pushed to frontI told him I would check it over and give him the evaluation and estimate but work is schedule as come in on rebuilds as thisHe still wanted to bring machine and I did check it over, gave him the evaluation and estimate optionsHe chose which route he wanted to goI DID NOT require nor ask for the money upfront, he asked if he could pay cause he had the money then and proof is attached to this responseI did order the motor which did have a long delay in build process but I was not close to time for his machine anyhowIt was ordered through a third party supplier so calling whoever he called wouldn't have done any goodHe wanted to get his machine back which I was told due to family issues and wanted a refundI stated and it's in writing I would give a refund once I receivedo a refund from distributor as I paid for his motor with his moneyI also told him they charge a 20% restocking fee as most all companies myself included do on special ordersHe agreed to thatA couple weeks after him picking up his machine I still hadn't received his refund but then received his motor so am dealing with that mattrrI told him I would give his refund as soon as I was able toThis has been a mess no doubt but he knew ahead of time of the conditions yet is not wanting to take any responsibility for things not working outI accept my responsibilities and hate things didn't work out, I also will give him his refund of the $MINUS the restocking fee and diagnosis fee which he has already been made aware of and agreed to as soon as I am able to

I am rejecting this response because:
[redacted] says he received an engine at his shop that he ordered for me. I cancelled in early August. So why is he receiving the engine when I cancelled 4 months ago. And it doesn't take a company 4 months to refund him. So if he never cancelled the machine I shouldn't be getting charged a 20% cancellation fee. He asked for my address Oct 10,2016 to mail a check. He was given the address. Two weeks past and still hadn't received anything. Then Nov 4, 2016 [redacted] said he would do a wire transfer the following Monday. Nov 7, 2016 I asked [redacted] if he had transferred the money. Nov 8, 2016 he said he hadn't had time to go to the bank. Nov 11, 2016 I asked when he planned on doing the transfer. [redacted] never responded. Nov. 12, 2016 I asked again when I was going to get my money. [redacted] proceeded to tell me to come get it in person and to come get MY motor that he received in Nov 2016 that I cancelled in August 2016. Nov 14, 2016 I responded to his message and asked who I was getting my refund from and when I would be receiving it. The company [redacted] ordered the engine from, is not going to let him keep the engine and give him a refund. And it shows he read the message when it was sent and today is Nov. 20, 2016 and he has not responded.

I have stated he will get his refund of the $2420 as soon as I am able to. I am stuck with the motor he decided against using even though he was made fully aware before ever bringing me the machine this was not something that was gonna happen right away due to the work load I had. It's was all fine till he found another welder so decided to sell the one I was to change the motor in. That's completely fine and his decision but I'm the one stuck with the motor. I'm a small business and this has been a rough year. I have not once told him he would not get a refund just that I would refund when I had it. His lies have been proven once and now again in the attached files. I said I would refund when I had it to do so or he could get the motor he ordered as its at my shop. If he felt I was out to just take his money I wouldn't have the motor nor offer it to him. I did stop responding because it was going no where and he would message at all hours of night and 13 times in a row on one occasion.
