I am rejecting this response because:
That's fine [redacted]. Let me know when you can send payments and how much. I sent you $700 - can you send 3 payments of $225?
Review: Made deposit of $700 in the beginning of March for preamp build. Communication was very poor on [redacted]'s end - I made an effort to stay in touch to find out if progress was being made. I was always "the next project". In August I asked for a refund since no progress had been made. When he blamed the issue on personal troubles, I gave him another chance. In September there was still no progress so I told him I needed a refund ASAP. He told me he'd send money the next day - It's October (over a month) and I haven't received anything from him . I keep writing him telling him I need my money back, he keeps delaying.Desired Settlement: I just want my $700 back. I am glad to consider it a no-interest 7 month loan. I just need my money back in full.

Response:
Our business builds custom hand wired guitar amplifiers built to order. We ask 700 deposit (usually doesn't cover parts cost) for amps ranging in price from 1300-2400+. Our guarentee is for an amp built with lifetime guarantee. We don't offer refunds for deposits on cancelled orders. We give time estimates for build times but can't promise delivery dates, only estimates. This current year suffered many financial setbacks from ex-wife causing me to temporarily be kicked out of my house, forced to move into my 5th wheel trailer. I'm still building, but have needed to take much time in court hearings, lawyer visits, repairing trailer and truck to operable conditions, etc., Not to mention loosing children in prior custody battles without attorney. He will get his amp, but it won't be in the estimated time given. At the moment, I have two current customers wanting their deposits back. I did promise to make monthly payments to one customer, but now this one wants refund too. The deposits were spent on parts.

I am rejecting this response because:I have all the emails from our correspondence. Your estimates for completion of the preamp have been a long series of mistakes. I paid you in early March. On May 20 you told me you’d be on it the following week and it would take 2 weeks to complete. In June you said July 1st was probable. In the beginning of August I needed the money – my own financial issues that I won’t elaborate on here - and told you I’d take a partial refund. You replied telling me the preamp build would be ready by the first week of September at the latest. Although I needed the money, I figured I owed you a chance to pull it together since you were having problems. In the middle of September I wrote you telling you I needed a full refund. There was no sign of any progress and you didn’t communicate unless I was persistent. On September 14th you replied: “I understand. I don't have full amount today, have to deposit a check tomorrow and should be able to send at least 200 tomorrow, balance very soon, hopefully within a week after.” You did not send anything. I wrote you again on the 21st and you replied: “Sorry it' taking me a while.. Should have at least half by first week of October for sure. Expecting check around Oct 1, but should have something to you before that.”. You still have not sent anything. I’m sorry you are having troubles and can’t fulfill your obligations, but I need my money back.
