I am responding to case ID ***My name is Matthew P***, President of Tunkhannock Auto MartI am afraid there is not much more I can add to this caseI have supplied copies of the service work we have performed over the
past few years.A review of these documents demonstrates that the customer was rarely billed for any repairs with the exception of maintenance items not covered by warrantyThe *** has over 100,miles of what *** considers "extreme use"A Mail Delivery vehicle is considered extreme or heavy duty use and will require much higher levels of maintenance and repairs - especially as the vehicle agesRural mail delivery puts extreme stress on suspension and steering components, transmission, engine and other SystemsIf you review the service documents I've provided you should also notice there isn't a single reference to servicing oil or other vehicle fluidsIn fact, the customer declined every maintenance item we SuggestedIt may be that this work was performed elsewhere, but that removes any and all liability from *** and Tunkhannock Auto Mart for engine durabilityWe had no control over proper timing, oil viscosity or filter element specifications - especially considering the severe use of this vehicleThis vehicle's Factory Recommended Oil Service intervals are every 8,miles or months but the owner's manual clearly states severe use requires more frequent changes (We recommend 4,mile and month intervals) - so approximately oil & filter replacements would be required to maintain factory suggested interval- at a minimumWe have no records to support proper maintenanceThe existence of Service records would not negate that the vehicle is out of factory warranty by mileageIn closing, the ***'s warranty is expired and both *** and Tunkhannock Auto Mart decline to provide no cost repairs as good will.Thank you for your assistance in this matter.Respectfully,
