Turbo Burn, Inc. Reviews (3)

Review: I purchased a Turbo Burn II, forced air furnace heat exchanger, and water heater heat exchanger package for $12,500 from Turbo Burn Inc in Oct 2005. The product was paid for in full in December of 2005. I was given a delivery date of approximately 60 days. That came and passed with no product. I have tried many times to get the ordered product built and delivered. I have spoken to [redacted], [redacted], and [redacted] on many occasions via phone, email, text and in person. Many times have been told the stove was being bult as we spoke each time. About 18 months ago I stopped in at the shop and spoke with [redacted] and he showed me a unit in the shop and said it was mine being built. He said it should be done in a few days. Those days came and went and still no Turbo Burn. July 2014 I stopped by the shop and spoke with [redacted] and he said he would see what he could do. I still don't have a Turbo Burn. I continue to try and reach [redacted] via his cell phone and office phone. I have left messages when the mailbox isn't full and left callback number when the mailbox is full. I have also sent text messages with no response from any of my attempts to communicate with him or Turbo Burn Inc.Desired Settlement: Refund is the most desirable settlement since I no longer have any use for the unit. I realize Turbo Burn Inc has a 'no refund' policy so if they fail to refund money and still desire to build the contracted product that would be better than nothing.

Review: Our home came with a Turbo Burn stove. Earlier this year I began to notice it had developed a leak around the tank and was leaking water into the firebox. I contacted Turbo Burn, [redacted], the stated owner. I removed and delivered the stove/boiler system to Turbo Burn in Spokane.

An investigation by [redacted] revealed several leaks and would require repairs. I authorized the repairs ($7,700.00) worth of repairs. This included having Turbo Burn install the stove/boiler, testing the water and adding additives as needed.

After numerous weeks the boiler was delivered and installed by [redacted] and a helper. I paid the last $2,700.00 for the job and gave [redacted] another water sample as he stated he wanted to be sure of the type of additive for the boiler system.

The following morning I went back to look at the stove/boiler because there had been great difficulty in aligning the stove pipe. Upon close inspection I noticed the stove pipe was not seeded properly, I corrected this problem. I filled the boiler with water and started a fire to check things out. This is when I discovered the water system to supply hot water to the house had not been purged. I corrected this problem. This is when I noticed the blower fan was not properly mounted to the firebox. I managed to contact [redacted] via text messaging and sent him photos of the problem. He assured me he would make an extension for me so the fan would mount properly. [redacted] told me he would put the part needed into the mail for me.

A week later I began to call [redacted] to find out what the status of the water test were and the status of the extension needed for the fan. Finally after numerous calls to him, he answered his phone. [redacted] advised he was picking up the water samples from a private contractor the following day and would call me. That was more than three weeks ago. Last week, maybe a few days more I was in Spokane so I dropped by Turbo Burn with my wife. [redacted] was not there, but his father and mother were.

The father got a little short with me telling me his son was busy. After that was put aside, I showed the father how the fan did not fit properly and he stated [redacted] could not weld and he would put together the part I needed and not to worry about rust or rotting for the time being.

As of this date, [redacted] has not given us the results of the water tests, supplied the part to mount the fan properly or supplied the additive to treat the water in the boiler to prevent rust and rot.Desired Settlement: I want the part to properly fit the fan. I want the lab results and the water and the five-gallons of additive needed as stated in the Turbo Burn manual.

Review: We were promised a floor heat panel for the shop which had burned down. This was in August, 2014 that we sent pictures of the manifolds, pumps and gauges of the original panel that burned up. In December 2014 [redacted] sent pictures of a panel he was building on a 4' x 6' board. He asked for $2500.00 and then it would be

sent to us. We sent $2500.00 but he did not send THAT panel. We sent him a mixer valve and a gauge. About January 10 he sent a pile of old, crooked pipes and no board. We sent it back to him, sent emails, phone calls and left

messages but he will not return any communication. We spent $1200.00 electric bill to heat the shop with electric baseboard heat waiting for the panel to be delivered. We need the $2500.00 to pay the bills we owe for the rebuilding of the shop and business.Desired Settlement: We are shocked that we did not receive the floor heat panel that was pictured and that we went back and forth planning with [redacted] personally. We expect to get $2500.00 returned.
