While we can all understand the frustration of not getting offered a rental unit, the consumer submitting a complaint about TurboTenant and our services is confusing the services and products we offer with that of the landlord that owns or manages the rental propertiesFurthermore, the
consumer seems to be frustrated by information in their credit file The credit file is maintained by a national credit bureau - TurboTenant has no control over the contents of the consumer's file We have told this consumer how they may contact the credit bureau to receive a free copy of their credit file and dispute any inaccuracies Landlords use our service to request tenant screening reports, but manage their rentals independentlyRegarding the request for a refund, our policy stated clearly and agreed to by all applicants clearly states that these fees are non-refundable as per:“Fees Non-RefundableCertain services offered on or through the Website (including, but not limited to: online rental applications and online payments) may be subject to fees charged by CompanyOnce charged, fees shall immediately be deemed earned by Company as consideration for services performed and are non-refundable.”Considering the complaint does not relate to something within the control of TurboTenant, a refund would not be warranted.This appears to be a case of misguided frustration

Hi there,This response is regarding a complaint with Mr. [redacted] (ID: [redacted]). We were under the impression that this complaint had been dropped, because we had direct correspondence with Mr. [redacted] stating "I will drop the complaint now that the issue was resolved." [redacted]-complaint-1.png). Throughout this customer's entire experience with TurboTenant, we were striving to have open lines of communication with Mr. [redacted] (see full transcript on attachment [redacted]-complaint-transcript), giving him updates on the status of his refund request as often as possible. Refunds are a process that takes time and each case needs to be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. When a customer submits a refund request, we tell them that it can take 7-10 days for their case to be reviewed. As can been seen in the transcript, Mr. [redacted] submitted a request on 9/19 and TurboTenant responded by 9/21, which is well within the timeframe for reviewing a refund. The refund was issued by 9/26, which is still well within the timeframe we give customers for refund. The settlement desired by Mr. [redacted] was reached, and he stated the complaint would be rescinded. We would request that you would contact Mr. [redacted] regarding this if necessary and please remove this complaint from the TurboTenant profile. seems to be inaccurate, the consumer submitting a complaint about TurboTenant and our services is confusing the services and products we offer with that of the credit reporting agency used to pull their credit report.We have been in contact with this consumer multiple times. She first contacted us on May 20th and we responded 1 hour later on May 20th. She again contacted us on May 23rd and we responded within 10 minutes, and had multiple messages exchanged throughout the day on the 23rd, 24th, and 25th. She followed up with us on May 29th and we responded within 1 hour on May 29th. Lastly, we followed up with the consumer on May 31st and had a dialog throughout the days of May 31st and June 1st. To say that we have no gotten back to her since May 22nd is inaccurate at best. When referencing discrepancies in her fiance’s credit report, unfortunately, we have no control over what information is contained in consumers’ credit reports. Our reports come directly from [redacted], the nation's largest credit bureau, and are not modified, edited, or altered in any way.Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, a consumer has the right to request a copy of their file or question the completeness or accuracy of the information used to create the consumer report. To do so, they need to contact the consumer reporting agency; the consumer has been informed of the following information multiple times, and we've forwarded the consumer the information listed below:[redacted]
