Tech fertilizing our grass damaged lawnTurf Tech agrees they caused damageSame tech damaged more lawns in area according to crew who came today and they further stated ours was the worst lawn they looked at today Two other lawn companies we called in to look at grass agree that all dead turf needs to be removed Slicing into lawn will not allow new seed to germinate through the dead areasTurf Tech willing to slice grass but that is not the proper way to fix lawnDamage is extensive.It is the wrong fix and will not guarantee new grass will germinate properly between the slicesIn between the slices patches of dead dry turf will remain and grass will not grow in those areas Lawn 75% dead Too many areas beyond repairCrew who visited from Turf Tech agree damage is extensive and turf needs to be removedOur lawn was lush

Turf technologies was great the first two years we had themOur " routine guy" was awesome! Turf technologies would always call a few days in advance to let us know they were coming out, so I could move my boat and they could get by to the back yard with there lawn equipmentBut then suddenly the 3rd year things changed for the worse! I was in and out of the hospital spring of and our " routine guy " was no longer with the companyTurf technologies not only lost a good tech but now they claim they can't find someone for my route yetI decided to check my surveillance footage, to find that whomever they had Been coming out to replace my guy, has NOT been doing my yardAt that point I of course stopped paying and started questioningTurf Technologies then decided they would take two full treatments off of my bill which would have been nowhere near enough to cover the work that they did NOT do

When *** went out of business our account was turned over to Turf Technologies who agreed to honor the contract we had signed with StraightedgeThis spring they edged and mulched, slice seeded, and then began the lawn with fertilizer and weed killerAfter applications of weed killer there were still many areas of crab grass which led us to believe not much care was taken when the stuff was appliedWe have only ever treated our front yard, the back yard is mostly crab grass and other weeds but it's fenced in for our dogs and we never wanted chemicals put down back thereBut a month ago a new tech showed up and opened the gate and went into the back yard and applied the weed killer which resulted in wide swaths of brown all over the yard, and some large areas are now nothing but brownI called to complain and the receptionist said "let me check to see if he was supposed to go in your back yard." She saw that he was not supposed to treat it I told her how horrible it looked and what they intended to do about it She said she'd send someone out to look at it The someone turned out to be the same it who caused the problem He said "it'll probably turn green again." Period When we called to terminate our service, we said we wanted to talk to the owner The receptionist said he would call us to discuss the situationHe never didIt's clear to us that this company doesn't care about its customers when a problem arises

Totally disappointed with their servicesMy lawn was nice, thick and greenMy backyard all of a sudden after their application in summer turned brownWhen we asked, he said it lacks phosphate, charged me again and applied it and it made no differenceAlso the lawn is full of weeds!!
Also, I caught the service guy once as he did not pray on one side of my lawn at all, when I ran out to him he argued that he completed everythingVery poor service and unethical

Damaged my new lawnUn-resposive to my concerns after their 1st application which started created brown patches at rootsHave not paid for it yet
There are multiple issues in dealing with this organization:
I called and inquired about lawn care treatment plan and was sent a contract on *** ** , while I didnt confirm anything on the call that I want to use their services, all I heard was their assistant will send me more information about pricing
*** someone from Turf Tech shows up at my property to do first treatment which confused me because I havent confirmed even verbally about using their serviceBut I went ahead and called them and clarified and informed that this is new lawn and asked to be very careful with any applicationAssociate asked me to keep watering for fertilizer and grub treatment to soak inWhich I did continuosly
*** my new lawn which was fully green all around started turning black/brown at roots in multiple spots around the property

Always called in advance like they stated they would and services performed on time
Overall, a good company to work with

I've had Turf Tech treating my home for many years now & am very satisfied with the quality of their work and professionalism I especially recommend the Tic & Mosquito applications as I find them to be of the utmost effectiveness

Scheduling service after we told the company twice that we did not want their service
Turf Tech called our residence to see if we would like to hire them to maintain our lawn We used them in the past and were not happy with the service so discontinued after one year They indicated a change of ownership and wanted to know if we would use them again We told them no However, a week later we received a voicemail indicating that they were calling to confirm the date the technician would be performing the service We called back and told them we did not want their service Again, a week later we receive the same voicemail indicating that they were sending a tech and wanted to confirm the date Again we called and told them that we did not want their service Now a week later, we receive a letter in the mail with the letter "confirming our commitment" for with the pricing for the service

Turf Technologies claimed to have applied pesticide at the house, but we never contracted them to perform any services
We called Turf Technologies to request pricing on pest controlA few days later, it seems they showed up at the house uninvited and claim to have performed some services that neither my wife or I could verify since we were not a homeWe didn't notice the company was at my home until a day later when we noticed a sign near the mail box about pesticideWe have two boys and a toddler who play in the yard regularly, so they were potentially exposed to pesticide without our knowledgeA few days later we received a bill from themI called to complain, but they insist on sending us bills and charging us interestA payment of *** has been made

I was sold lawn service from[redacted], of Turf Technologies, and did not receive all the services and results as agreed upon. I agreed upon specific products and services with[redacted] on January 4, 2013. Turf Technologies did not provide the products or services agreed upon.The first application was supposed to be spring slice seeding, to specific areas in the backyard, but instead applied fertilizer with pre-emergent crabgrass was applied to the entire yard for application 1. Now I could not seed the area they agreed to seed. Application 2 was supposed to be a second fertilization with pre-emergent crabgrass. Pre-emergent crabgrass was not applied. The result has been crabgrass in the lawn all summer.Since the first application I requested the service tech to have a sales or service manager contact me. I have not spoken with one. I had service calls to treat continued weeds and clover that I had never had before working with Turf Technologies. I requested a blanket weed control application but they wouldn't do it. The service included spring and fall lime at no charge. This is a standard service offered from lawn care companies. [redacted], [redacted], states that the spring lime is not free but will apply a free application in the fall if I pay in full. I continue to have weeds and clover. I also now have damaged dead grass.I began speaking with [redacted] in July and he agreed that a sales manager or owner would contact me to discuss the issues and resolve the problems. I have not seen anyone from Turf Technologies.I called Turf Technologies on September 16, 2013 and the person that answered the phone statd to me that [redacted], [redacted], was in the restroom and assured me that he would return my call. I never heard from [redacted]. I called later that day and [redacted], [redacted], answered. [redacted] stated that he told me back in July nobody would contact me until the balance was paid in full. That is a bold lie. As we stand today [redacted] states he sufficiently provided services that he wants to be paid in full for before anybody within the company will speak with me. In conclusion Turf Technologies did not provide the products or services and I am not responsible to pay for what I did not receive and for damage to the lawn due to their negligence.Desired SettlementI am seeking to not be charged for the any service from Turf Technologies, the damaged dead lawn to be repaired. I also would seek to meet with an owner to discuss this negligence and unprofessional and insulting behavior and comments from [redacted].Business Response We are openly speaking with [redacted] and have done seeding at his place at no charge. He has since paid us in full and there are currently no more issues.
