Ms. ***: Regarding the complaint on behalf of Gulf Credit Union, I [redacted] Accounting Representative have been in contact with Capital One on 4/22/16 speaking with [redacted] in the corporate office having her research this because we received the Federal Reserve Item returned... to us on 4/11/16 as a non-sufficient item at the said time we are unable to re-run this because it was under $500.00 (Federal Reserve Rule). Therefore we had to reverse the transaction of Mr. [redacted] deposit of the check. Then told him to get with the person who issued him the check and have them check with their bank. A lot of banks will not give out information regarding their customers information so we had no way of knowing the check actually did or didn’t clear until I spoke with Ms. [redacted] on 4/22/16 and she said she would give the information to her customer to give to me proving said check had cleared her customer’s account.The only logical explanation to this scenario is that the Federal Reserve sent me a file on 4/11/16 and turned around and sent a file to Capital One on 4/12/15. We do not get actual checks this is all done electronically through a service called Check 21. I’ve had a co-worker named [redacted] call and explain this in Spanish to Mr. [redacted] so that he can understand that I am in fact trying to get his money back from the Federal Reserve and to be patient as it takes a little time to prove that we indeed did not get credit for his deposit. We will keep Ms. [redacted] updated as we get the details along with Mr. [redacted] as well to resolve this as quickly as possible.
