To whom it may concern, Wereceived in the mail the letter about the "SECOND NOTICE" today.This is the first noticewe have receivedThe original "FIRST NOTICE" wase-mailed to an old property manager who no longer works here. Wehave read the complaint *** sent in.Our first attempt to
refund her the remainder of her deposit was unsuccessful due to a spelling error on ourcorporate officespartThe second time the deposit was sent out, it didn't have the unit number of her current address on it (we had not previously been provided a unit number bySkyler)The third time it was sent correctlyShe c**e in and was very upset that it had her n**e and her two roommates n**es, whom were still stated on the lease*** toldusshe had filed a restraining order against both of them so there was "No way I'd be able to cash this without them being there."They signed their lease on 07/08/It was a month lease and when the lease commences, nothing canbe alteredEven thoughthe two roommates moved out, they were still on the lease and still responsible for the apartmentWe told her since she is the head of household and her n**e is on the check, sheshould be able to cashthe check for thedeposit. Later that day she called and let us know that she was able to cash the checkShe received $of the deposit back out of $700.00. Both the refrigeratorand toilet needed cleanedThere was a blue residue in the fridge, which is not easy to clean off, and is stuck on to the point of stainingThe two bottom drawers in the fridgehad left over residue from food.The front of the fridge was also scuffed and needed to be cleaned,the lower portion of the fridge had streaks running down itThe toilet was dirty under the seat, in the bowl, and towards the back of the tank. To the best of my knowledge, none of Turnberry Staff told *** she was going to be charged for a stain on the carpet and for the blinds (replying to what she had said in the letter)She was charged for the above things because they were not cleaned properly. When *** moved out she was told (as we tell all of our move outs by protocol), she would either receive a check or a bill in the mailSince the forwarding address was not correct it took longer to receive her deposit back than anticipated. The check does come from our corporate officeWe do not give out their number because it is for office use only. Above all this, every time *** called or c**e into the office she was always pleasant, understanding, and communications were always professionalIt is our understanding that her father cosigned for the apartment and used his own money to pay for the depositWe understand he was very upset about the situation, which *** frequently apologized to us for his demeanor towards TurnberryWith that understanding, we feel *** is writing this complaint under duress from her father*** was frustrated but she was aware we were not intentionally keeping the deposit from her.
