To whom it may concern:Third reply, to Revdex.com case number [redacted]) and new complaint from Revdex.com serving Metro washington DC [redacted])This is in response to [redacted]'s numerous complaints to the Revdex.com concerning his vehicle that ran out of oil and damaged his engine. The following covers the prior statements made to claimant:We read with interest [redacted] statement concerning his vehicle and request for reimbursement for the engine replacement that was damaged due to lack of oil.[redacted] did call in requesting diagnosis on his engine; Bill H[redacted] Service Manger did take the initial call. [redacted] indicated that he had taken his vehicle to a number of different repair facilities in the Lancaster area and that they indicated to him that the noise was coming from the harmonic balancer area. He dropped the vehicle off for diagnosis 10/22/2014 (note date on repair order) not 10/21/2014 as indicated in his Revdex.com statement. We proceeded to inspect the vehicle; our findings were as follows, no oil on dipstick and internal engine noise. Contacting [redacted] he authorized $700.00 towards disassembly of the engine to determine the extent of damage due to lack of oil. Upon disassembly we found camshaft and lifter damaged by lack of oil. In the mean time [redacted] contacted the service center that completed his oil service and indicated to them that they did not “fill” his truck to the proper level. They did stop in along with an insurance adjuster and declined his allegations of an improper fill. [redacted] then called ** and opened a Revdex.com case against them for what reason. I’m not privy to, but we did received notification from ** to contact [redacted]. We did indeed call and review [redacted] concern's with ** and due to the fact that he did not have enough oil in the vehicle, they denied assisting in repairs. The bases for denial of any type of assistance is due to the lack of due diligence on [redacted]'s part to maintain his vehicle with the proper oil level/service. Point in closing, even if a vehicle is in warranty which [redacted] was out of power train at the time of write up, the owner of the vehicle is responsible for maintaining the vehicle with the proper fluids, fluid level checks and maintenance intervals as noted in his owner's manual (copy attached). We cannot be held responsible for negligence on the part of the owner.Bill HService Director

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: Since I purchased this vehicle I purchased 4 new tires from [redacted] on 2/2014, Vehicle was aligned and tires balanced, Front and rear brakes needed replacement so did the rear suspension. I paid for all this work for a vehicle I had for less than six months. They keep claiming there was not enough Oil on the engine as an excuse to not to honor the warranty buy they were not able to prove it to the venue that changed the oil. When [redacted] send their technician to check on the vehicle because it was a Synthetic Oil that was to last 6,0000. Miles the dealer claimed they already topped it off. No one can verify the veracity of the claim of Mr. H[redacted], not even his technician. I contacted my car insurance company and they also sent an adjuster. The adjuster was told the excessive Oil consumption was due to a manufacture defect. The dealer is telling a different story depending of what they need to accomplish.
I purchased the vehicle on October 17, 2013 and was told by the Business Manager there was over a year left on the power train warranty and gave me copy of the title to support his statement. Mr H[redacted] does not want to do the work of claiming to the warranty because the dealer will not get paid the same amount of money they billed me.
Regards,
[redacted]
