I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that while the proposed action would resolve my complaint, the business has failed to follow through.
Houston Ventures
(1) NO yard crew came while the painters were working (they
came a full week after the job was done) and ironically, the statue is located
in a fully paved courtyard where there is nothing that a weed eater has ever
been used onThis was wholly fabricated
(2) *** called on 11/after I filed this complaintHe offered to send a check for $(rather than the replacement value of $400, but we agreed to the reduced amount)As of
12-3-14, we had still not received the check
Our desired resolution is for *** to send the check for

I am disappointed that you felt it necessary to leave such a negative review. Both you and your husband told me that you were very pleased with the work done (as you stated in your *** *** review) and with the quality of the work. When you told me about the statue damage, I talked
to my crew and they told me that they were not the only ones working in that area that day, your lawn crew (with their weedeaters) were working in the same spot and most likely were the ones that actually caused the damage. I contacted my insurance company and they made me wait to find out the next step in their processing. I never called you a liar, I just said that I believe my very trusted worker, especially since you didn’t actually see the damage happen, and that I had to work with my insurance company on this claim. Regardless, when I spoke with your husband I told him that I was going to mail to you a check to replace the statue in good faith. He was happy with that, thanked me again for a job well done, and we concluded on a positive note. In regard to my bidding process, I am sorry it doesn’t meet your expectations. I never purported to be a computer person, I am a just a painter. I assured you that we would get done exactly the items you wanted done, and that is what we did, to your stated satisfaction. Our focus is on quality of the work, if you wanted a paint contractor who is highest tech, I’m afraid you won’t pay the lower prices you pay for us. If I let my frustration with the situation show, I apologize. As anyone who has read my reviews knows, I strive for nothing else but complete customer satisfaction, and I am sorry we didn’t achieve that with you. Again, we a) completed the work to your satisfaction and b) paid you for your chipped statue. I hope this will resolve this issue for you
