I have my tax return prepared every year and in 2010 an error was made. He refuses to amend the return until he gets payment for 2011 return.

I have been a customer for many years. In Feb. of this year, I advised him that there was an error on my 2010 return. On 2/29/12 he filed my 2011 return. By March 22, 2012, he had still not notified me of an amendment to my 2010 return so I wrote him a letter asking him to adjust my cost for my 2012 return by $60 (usual cost $260) and I would pay when it was completed.I received a letter back from him that he would not adjust the amount and he would not complete the amendment until I paid for 2011 return. I called and said I would pay full amount but not until the amendment was completed. He did not return my call. I called again, 6/7/2012. He said he would not complete my amendment until I paid for 2011 return. I advised him that once he has my money he is slow or non responsive and I wanted the amendment prepared and I would pay when I picked it up. He refused even though I have been a customer for many years and always paid in the past.My past experience on a trust that he prepared for me ($2000 in advance and $600 when completed), was that once he had my money, he took considerable time to complete the work and I feel he will take his time on my amendment once he has my money. It has already been since the middle of February 2012 that I made him aware of his error which would give me an additional refund. I pay a lot for having my returns prepared by him. He was rude and didn't care if I took my business somewhere else. This was extremely bad customer service in my opinion and now I fear retaliation. I have a excellent credit rating and always pay my bills.
