Because we are a behavioral health facility, we are held to a higher standard in regard to protected health information than HIPAA. In order to even confirm or deny that this person was seen at our clinic, we would need a very specific release of information
signed at our facility. Otherwise, we are in violation of Federal Law. If I disclose to you what law, I will have violated the law
