The customer contacted *** and they rejected the claim*** is involved because they offer a life time warranty to all repairs and they would have informed us to make the repair if it was a valid claim. We also told the customer to come to the shop so we could look at the vehicle and they never showed up

Complaint: ***
Since we file the claim, no ones contact us (not ***, nor Turnpike Motors) However, after we received this email, we will contact Turnpike Motors this Friday 8/29/

We have talked to the customer.  He is coming in Monday so we can take a look at the vehicle.  This repair is four year old and we are just hearing about it now.  [redacted] insurance company has denied the claim and the customer's story

Review: In 2011, our [redacted] (2009) was taken to Turnpike Motors for a body job and replaced several parts around the engine. However, the technician forgot to put a hose clamp on the hose connecting the radiator to the engine so shortly after leaving the shop, the engine overheated driving home. When we called the shop about the issue, they told us to just drive the car back. As a result of the lack of a clamp, antifreeze leaked onto the road during the eighteen mile round trip to & from the shop resulting in violent engine vibrations, the engine overheating, and engine damage from the overheating. The engine damage was not apparent at the time, but recently the engine died despite routine maintenance and only 62,000 miles. We believe the engine dying was related to the engine overheating from he lack of a hose clamp but the shop denies this.Desired Settlement: As a result of the technician forgetting to put a clamp on the hose, the engine sustained damage from overheating and died with only 62,000 miles. We lost a significant amount of money by having to sell the car and would like compensation for the damages that resulted from the technician's mistake
