Review: The entire reason I decided to stay at this hotel was because of the services they advertised on their website (i.e. yoga, hiking, spa, massages, cascading pools, fitness center, wifi, etc). None of these services were actually available when asked about. Finding someone who can give me a straight answer was impossible. I came home and looked them up online, they have done this to multiple people staying at their hotel for years. Lying, cheating and stealing by false advertising and refusing refunds.Desired Settlement: I want all my money back. The 198 for my two night stay, my 178 for the wine tour, and my 235 for the hot air balloon ride (that was never given). All in all, $615.

Review: On August 22/23 I had booked reservations for a wine tour and overnight stay at Tuscany Hills Resort and Spa for my 17th wedding anniversary. After having a good time at the wine tour we checked into our room at 4p. Upon arriving we noticed how dirty the carpet was in the room, later in the evening about 8p, while trying to flush the toilet, it began to overflow. The bathroom was flooded with water and other toilet contents and it begin to run into the living space on the carpet. We called the front desk and there was no answer. My husband walked down to the front desk and it was pitch black, the office was closed with no contact info. He walked around he premises but couldn't find anyone. I called the property line and left a message explaining we needed maintainence but no one called back. We had to use the only towels we had to try to clean up the water. My husband ending up taking the toilet apart to try to fix it as we had no working toilet to use from 8p until the next morning. That is not how my anniversary night was supposed to be. We had to walk with our shoes on and spend the night smelling bathroom content. The next morning I still hadn't received a call from the front so I called again and spoke with the front desk and advised what had happened. All she had to offer me was she was sorry and brought us some towels since we didn't have any. No one came to check the bathroom or the room for that matter. I just wanted to check out and I asked to speak with a manager. The front desk person advised me that only the owner would be able to assist me. And she would call me to discuss. I didn't hear from her until I emailed her did she advised she had attempted to call. After discussing the complaint she offered me a comp stay at the resort. I never want to go back. I told her what I wanted and she continues to respond of how sorry she is. It has now been three weeks and there is still no resolution. I wanted the Revdex.com to know about the lack of customer service of this hospitality business.Desired Settlement: I have expressed since the day I checked out that I wanted half of my Groupon cost to be refunded as half of the services were great and the other half were unacceptable. So I will not pay for any part of that hotel stay and I want the taxes to the room I paid for in cash that day refunded also. For over three weeks now she only wants to Comp me another wine tour and another stay at her resort. Considering I can't get this one issue resolved to my satisfaction, I would never return.

Review: There are several code violations that I have already reported to the City of Escondido, CA. I also have multiple complaints about the Tuscany Hills Resort and Spa (e.g., inappropriate customer service, multiple advertised services not available), but I will focus on the advertisement of a particular service that was not available. The resort advertises a fitness center on their website, which is not available. In the fitness center there is no gym equipment at all. Instead, there are old tables and boxes stacked up along with a used toilet (not installed). There is also an exposed circuit breaker in the room, and it appears that the electricity does not work.Desired Settlement: I would like the Tuscany Hills Resort and Spa to be investigated for both code violations and poor business practices.
