As a business, we try very hard to please our customers. I can honestly say that this is the first time in thirty years that anyone has ever complained. for the prompt return of our clients deposits, but we are human. The tenant is required to give us written notice that they are vacating the business. this particular customer called screaming at me that she had not received all of the money owed to her. I apologized to her and explained that we have a new bookkeeper and would expedite the mailing of the second check to her..she continued screaming at me that she had a left a message about the matter and we had done nothing about it. Well the truth is that just because you leave a message doesn't that we have received it. We did not receive her phone message and therefore couldn't act on her demands. This individual received all monies due to her within days of learning of the oversight. She could have called, written a letter, left a message at the business or called and made an appointment, we would have easily straightened out the problem. She did none of those things. Well, I can assure you that there are a lot of very angry people out there in the world and no matter how you try to reason with them, they are just angry. We did send her 2 checks within 11 days of actually learning of the problem. Our contract, which she had, says that we will send the deposit check within 2 weeks of notification of vacating.
