Mistreatment of a two year old
My two year old boy while at Tutor Time in Tinley, Illinois was mistreated. Both of his hands were forcefully grabbed and forced to pick up blocks, and then was pushed by the employee. This employee on the same day mishandled a couple of other toddlers. Management did say they were going to monitor and possibly retrain the employee. The employee should not be working with toddlers!

Why is it legal for your Avondale Director(Danielle)! To enroll her sister, give her child a Scholarship!!! When I've been on the waiting list! In addition pay a weekly amount that's un heard of that's way below any amount for the age of the child? Last name ***) it's very disturbing and illegal!!!

My daughter attended TT in *** ***, ** for a total of days The only day that there wasn't an problem was her first day!! I wrote the Acting Director *** *** the email below stating all the drama I had sent her another email letting her know about all the problems we had and she had one of her staff members call me several times asking for weeks of full tuition!!!
Hi ***,
Today we received a call from *** requesting additional payments of full week’s tuitionWe have reviewed the terms of the contract My husband and I observed that within the five days that our daughter, *** attended Tutor Time, your staff failed to fulfill their obligation under the terms of the agreementWe have already paid $plus an additional $for the gymnastic class that *** attend once We deem the contract void and refuse to pay anything elseAs I mentioned via email (1/29/please see attachments) the following occurred at Tutor Time:
? 1/(her 2nd day) the fact that our daughter, was physically injured while under the care of your staff is daunting What is more alarming the incident went unnoticed was not reported and never documented This fact alone is more than enough of a reason for us to pull her out? 1/(her 3rd day) we were not given a progress report and according to our daughter not much was done as far as any learning activities? 1/(her 4th day) a water pipe burst in the school, the children were taken outside in the frigid weather for a few minutes yet we were not notified We were told when we arrived and witness the water mess and chaos…
o Then to discover that she was not properly feed on 1/while at Tutor Time; as parents we find this to be overwhelmingo No report was provided for that day as wellIronically stated in the handbook and on the Tutor Time website:
"Our Number One Responsibility: Your Child’s Safety"
• At Tutor Time child care, your child’s safety is our primary concern(it seems the concern is all about the money rather than the safety)
Finally, to reiterate the “learning” part of Tutor Time, it’s nothing like what we were lead to believe and as stated in the handbook nor the websiteWhen we asked our daughter what was the “letter” of the day and the number of the day she had no idea what we were talking about Yet the links that we did received all stated that some type of “learning” activity took place,,,, We paid for Tutor Time to keep her safe and to expand her education and your staff failed to fulfill their obligation under the terms of the contractIf there is anything else that you or your staff would like to discuss with us please do so in writing*** So after this email we heard nothing till yesterday they sent us to collections!!! This place is all about the money not the care of children I WOULD NOT EVER RECOMMEND the Tutor Time on *** to NO ONE EVER!!! I will continue to spread the word this place is horrible keep your money and children out of the TT in *** on *** ***

My child have been attending at the paradise valley facility over a month now and each time I drop off my child he is scratch free on his body, but there are 3 incidents happened to my child while he is in the classroom, the 1st time I pick up my child at the classroom I noticed he have scratches on his face, the 2nd time my child have scratches on his chest and tummy and the 3rd time my child have deep scratches which break his skin and bled a lot on his face and neck. The teacher can only blame my child but the teacher did not take responsibility to herself because she wasn't doing her job and watching over my child's safety and also says she didn't see and know anything about the scratches on my child. This facility is not safe for my child and I felt my child is being neglected by the teacher and abused by other kids in the classroom. This is very frustrating for me and I believe this will be frustrating for other parents if this happen to their child.

Hi [redacted],
Today we received a call from [redacted] requesting additional payments of 2 full week’s tuition.
We have reviewed the terms of the contract. My husband and I observed that within the five days that our daughter, [redacted] attended Tutor Time, your staff failed to fulfill their obligation under the terms of the agreement.
We have already paid $524.20 plus an additional $84 for the gymnastic class that [redacted] attend once. We deem the contract void and refuse to pay anything else.
As I mentioned via email (1/29/2014 please see attachments) the following occurred at Tutor Time:
? 1/16 (her 2nd day) the fact that our daughter, was physically injured while under the care of your staff is daunting. What is more alarming the incident went unnoticed was not reported and never documented. This fact alone is more than enough of a reason for us to pull her out.
? 1/20 (her 3rd day) we were not given a progress report and according to our daughter not much was done as far as any learning activities.
? 1/23 (her 4th day) a water pipe burst in the school, the children were taken outside in the frigid weather for a few minutes yet we were not notified. We were told when we arrived and witness the water mess and chaos…
o Then to discover that she was not properly feed on 1/23 while at Tutor Time; as parents we find this to be overwhelming.
o No report was provided for that day as well.
Ironically stated in the handbook and on the Tutor Time website:

I am a very angry and concerend parent. My Child is attending day care on [redacted]. She has been going there for a month.Everything was going ok untill I whent to pick her up one day and I found her in the hall way by her self. My child is 1 years old. Her diaper was not changed on time and because of this, she had the worst diaper rash ever. it took about 2 days to finally get better. After I let the office know about my concerns I was told that investigation will be conducted and I will be notified of the outcome. I never got the call and my child was put in the same class with the same teacher. I found a better day care for my daughter. Called Tutor time and let them know that Monday is her last day. and wanted to know how much to pay for one day that she is going to attend. I was told that I might pay for the entire week. I am really upset with this day care. I will never ever suggest anyone not even my enemy to take their child to Tutor Time institution on [redacted]. I am just disgusted with this institution.
