Review: In Sep 2015 I had a chat with sales team of Tutorvista to get help for tutoring services for my son.

Sales team called me within 10 mins and when I asked for the details, was told they will be able to give me a deal for 279 and the minutes assigned were valid till they are expired. I actually asked for a 50 hour service that is 120 dollars and 100 hours is 240 dollars. 150 hours is at 350 dollars or so. The sales team sold me the package mentioning that the package will be extended at the end of every 3 months and they will take care of it. This was a service I bought for no audio service initially.

In view of the inconvenience in Dec I asked for Audio service and they said the minutes are expired. Spoke to a service team person and another Manager(Who claimed to be a manager named Raj) said the package can be converted to Audio also support with 60% of minutes if we want service with Audio and that the minutes will be extended till they are used up. The service representative confirmed that they will call back in 24 hours with this issue closed and didnot call back. In January when my son booked a schedule they kept him on hold for 6 hours without arranging a tutor during his test day. Fedup with this and going through severe pressure, my son tried it again and same experience of no audio tutor was available even after several hours of waiting. He gave up using it and no one reached us until yesterday. They called yesterday saying that this payment made is expiring and will not extend. After 1 hour of discussion and my clear explanation, they offered me 3 months of extention and nothing beyond it. I asked them to honour what was sold to me or refund the amount. They hung up the phone and I tried today again. They never were willing to connect and call back either to solve the issue.Desired Settlement: Either provide support till the minutes are expired as sold to me or Refund the amount.

Review: on 12/15/14 I was in the process of searching the web looking for a tutoring service. I clicked on tutorvista.com and immediately received a response to my issues. The person who I was "instant messaging" me reassured me that for 69.99 I would get 5 hours of tutoring and I could immediately start once I gave my credit card and paid for services. That said I paid for the services and tried several times to get into contact with a tutor via the "white board"; however each time I received a message from a "bot" (bot as in automatic response system). Each time I signed in and attempted to communicate with a tutor the auto message would read "wait time 3 minutes for the first available tutor" and then I would just wait there for at least 10 minutes with no response. There was also an option to pre-schedule tutoring, so that's what I decided to do thinking that maybe the tutors were busy. I scheduled 5 sessions and each time that I signed onto my account a tutor never showed up via "white board". Additionally the representative assured me that this wouldn't happen and that tutoring service was available throughout the weekend. I then called customer service and reached a gentleman from the sales department who I couldn't understand due to his strong accent. After 10 minutes of trying to communicate, he just hung up on me. I then "googled" Tutorvisa.com to find that it's a scam and well known for not rendering services.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of 69.99 and the site policy changed or closed down.

Review: On Sept 15, 2015 I purchased some tutor time from tutorvisita for $39.15. That very same day I requested a refund and received an email response stating that the refund was processed and that I would receive a refund within 3 days. I was also informed that I could continue to utilize the system until the refund was completed.

My account was never suspended or restricted. On Sept 27, 2015 I inquired on my refund since I had not received it. I was then informed that the refund would not be refunded even though I had an email stating that the refund had already been processed. I informed the supervisor I was speaking with at this time that I had every thing documented but he stated that it didn't matter as the refund was not going to be issued to me.

The supervisor then stated that he would research it and that I would hear back from them within 48 hours of which this never happened. I have yet to hear from anyone at tutorvista.Desired Settlement: I would like the refund that I was promised I would receive in the amount of $39.15
