Review: I have had my 1998 [redacted] worked on twice in the past two weeks. Three repairs were performed and only one repair was successful. I went back the first time and I was told that if that was not the problem then for sure the next fix would make it right. So, after a total of about 1,100 dollars my problem still exist. The day of march 31st I go to ask him can he fix the problem that he never fixed he came to me and said I am sorry its time for a new engine, call me and I will find a price for you.Desired Settlement: The reason I say that would like my money back is because my vehicle still runs exactly the same as it did when I brought it in. Also, it also sometimes cuts off at a red light. I feel that I would have been able to at least put this money towards another car. So now I am out of my money and I still have a truck that runs exactly the same as before.

May 9, 2014 Dear **. [redacted]I have received your letter and I would love to help this situation out between[redacted](aka OV-Owner of Vehicle). OV came to our shop on Mar. 7th saying the vehicle is making "whistling noise" and 'engine shaking" In addition, he added, "it might be from front-end suspension." After one of our mechanic diagnosed, he found that the car is "misfiring" and one of Air Pump Pressure Connector is broken. And we gave out the estimate of $635.00 worth including 1 Ignition Coil pack (because it was misfiring from cylinder no.6), 8 spark plugs, 1 air filter and 1 air pump pressure connector. OV picked up the car on Mar. 8th. The mileage of the vehicle, by that time, was 188,243mi. After the work, we noticed the OV that the vehicle is fine now, however, it needs more work with the rest of the ignition coil packs, and sockets for electric wires on ignition coils. They have corroded so bad and they might cause another problem again sometime soon. The vehicle left fine, misfiring was gone, and "whistling noise" was taken care of.20 days later, on Mar. 26th, OV returned to us saying he wanting us to replace the rest of the ignition coils and sockets for ignition coils (by that time, vehicle was misfiring from 2 cylinders out of 8 cylinders, and mileage was up to 189,104mi). OV brought the 6 ignition coil packs on his own, and we had to order 1 ignition coil pack extra (charged him $50.00 for the item). We ordered 7 electric sockets for ignition coils also. Before he left, he deposited $200.00 and paid $315.00 later when he picked up his car. In $515.00 of total, it also includes the price of 3 qts of oil ($15.00), because the engine was very low on oil. The data of OV picking up his car was Mar. 28th. However even after the car was fully serviced as customer requested, the vehicle was still running bad, and we came up to the conclusion that he will have to change the engine itself of the vehicle. It seems to me that the vehicle was so old and also was experiencing severe oil-leak age, the engine was already damaging itself while the OV was driving without noticing the leakage of oil. We only performed what was requested (Mar. 6th) and the vehicle left fine without a problem. And 20 days later, after about a good thousand mile of OV running the vehicle, he cannot really blame on us for not diagnosing correctly. A thousand mile makes a huge difference on any vehicle, especially when the engine oil is severely low. We are willing to help the OV, **. [redacted], in repairing his 98 [redacted] with happiness, but we are not responsible for what he possibly could have done during a thousand mile. With all due respect, I hope this statement helps the situation that [redacted] and we are put into. We are looking forward to do a good business with **. [redacted], and with any customers we gladly see every day.
