My TV, a 50" Plasma, from 2006, started by changing channels suddenly while watching, then suddenly went to the highest volume. The changer wouldn't turn the TV on or off and all the buttons on the TV only controlled the volume. If you pushed them either way they went all the way to the highest volume.

I looked on line and the first repair service that seemed close to my area, said Atlantic Beach. I called the number and got a Spanish recorded message that ended in saying "adios", and hung up. This man called me back saying he was the owner and he knew about the recording, and he's been complaining about the Spanish recording but they never changed it. Don't know who they are. I told him my problem and asked for a price because I live on disability and ex left me with nothing which I'm currently trying to fight alone. He said $40. For the visit and approx. $40, at least that's what I was sure I heard.

He said he could send a man at 3:00 the next day. The guy arrived, also [redacted], looked around the TV, turned it around and said it was the "red or Reel Digital Bod A87 or A17, it's written on the "bill", he gave me after I asked.

He took off all the screws and the back

And then took the electronic board off, put the back on but it two screws out of about 10.

He said he had to order the part because he mostly likely did not have it in the shop.

He said I had to give him $120.09 for a deposit and the part would be $425.00.

I thought that was crazy but I did t k ow what to do I could t find my checks. I had been searching for them before. Yesterday ordered more but I gave him the money in cash.

He took the part to my TV with him and my money. I asked him to check my sons changer to his TV because he said that after a while it doesn't work. He tried it and it worked perfect the first time. I didn't know ti my son came home and told me that it works for about an hour then stops. I said, how did I do that and he said, "I put in a code". I said, when with what, I'm standing right next to u and u didn't do anything. Lying.

He leaves a d says he'll be back the next day with the part to fix it. After he left my son came in. Right after. He said, get a new TV they're cheaper than what he's charging you. I called the guy right back and said, don't order any part, bring me back my money a d the part cause I'm going to get a new TV. He said " why would u do that, they don't make TV's like that one, a new one will break. I said, I ll get a TV when I can afford it bring my part and money back. Still trying to talk me into it. I called his boss, original guy I spoke to. Kept saying the same thing. The other guy had said, " how about $300.0"" . Now he's bargaining with the part. Other guy says, he shouldn't have told u $300 , $340. I said, no. In Walmart all TV's were $500 and under. Bigger, smaller etc. still yelling at me to reconsider because mine is better. I said no I want my part and money. He said he had a phone call and he would call me back. He never did. Dies not pick up the phone for any number I call associated and the worker goes to voice mail and says this persons mailbox is full and hangs up.

There is another address on the bill, from manhattan but service guys phone number.

There is a number in the yellow pages for a CHRIS F[redacted] Supposed Service Exec that came up with this web service. That number asks if u are a customer, to them

It's the owner if one of their web Businesses, and another question both of which you can't leave a message or get in touch or speak to a human a d then hangs up. I am giving you all numbers I have. I desperately need my $120.00 and the part to my TV.

He wasn't sure he could get the part and he took the part from my TV so what was I going to do without that part? The TV is dead. They had that as "collateral ", sort of. I called the guy right back after he left and my son walked in and said, " r u crazy, TV's today cost less than the $425.00 they r asking", but the guy said he had another appointment and he would return it the next day but still kept saying how great the TV was and that they didn't make TV's like that anymore. I called the original # and tried to speak again with "the boss", who gave me the same spiel about it worth while to fix. I asked him what kind of guarantee he is giving me for fixing it, he said, 3 months. I said, well a new TV will give me at least two years.

The guy who came to the house tried to bargain with me on the phone when I called him to return. He said " how is $300.00?". Now I knew it never cost $425.00. When I spoke to the boss, he said he was angry at his worker for saying $300. He said, $340. Still bargaining on a part they claimed at first cost a lot of money, $425 .

They lied, cheated me, took the last of my money for food, had to borrow again, and stole my property as well, refusing to return the part to my TV.

I want my money and the part returned to me. Preferably cash, like I gave them. Don't trust anything else. And please warn others.

I am very ill and live off disability. I need that money. Please!!

Review: Requested services to get my tv repair because it was not working. When I called the number and spoke to a supposedly representative they told me they where going to be in my house within 2 hours. I guy came and looked at the TV and said that he needed to take it back to the shop and that he would give it back tomorrow. This was on Saturday may **. The next day I called and the guy didn't pick up the phone. Then 2 days later on monday the ** I called again and the guy picked up and hang up as soon as he heard my voice. When I called from a different number and the person that picked up heard my voice he told me to stop calling. I realized it was a scam and that I wasn't going to get my money back. I filed a complaint thru here but the case was closed because the website provided a wrong address im just trying to prevent other people to go through the same situation and lose their belongings.Desired Settlement: I want my TV back but what I really want is to prevent them from scamming other innocent people.

Review: I called this company that I found online namedInstant TV Repair Center to come to repair my TV I spoke to a man named [redacted] who sent one of his technician by the name [redacted], he diagnosed the problem with my TV said that it had to do with a built in power supply and he needed to order a part,he charged me $250.00 and took the TV, He returned it on June [redacted] stating that the repairs have been made, unfortunately I was still having the same problem with the TV, that they claimed, they repaired, so since they guarantee their work for 3 months I called them back to let them know I was still having the same problem with the TV, so they sent the technician again on June [redacted] he took the TV said he needed to order another part or the part that he order and replaced the first time may have been defective.On July [redacted] I spoke to [redacted] and he said there will be a delay in parts because of the [redacted] of Julyholiday weekend, I told him no problem and to just keep me posted, well July [redacted] was the last time I ever spoke to them, they have not answered any of my messages, and they have not attempted to call me, they have my $1100 TV for 3 weeks now.I have tried calling them at all hours of the day and night, and I have left numerous messages.Today I decided to call them for 1 hour straight finally someone answered but when I asked to whom am I speaking withthey hung up on me.I did a Google search and found that this victor guy has several companies with different phone numbers, that all are connected to the same answering service..He also has 2 different addresses list:[redacted]###-###-####[redacted]###-###-#######-###-####, ###-###-####, ###-###-####He also has another business called Groves Elec Inc. all the phone numbers and address are connected to the same person with the same answering service....I refuse to give up so I will continue to call them, Can you please help me, they need to be investigated. and stopped!!!!
