TVsZone.com Reviews (1)

Review: On August *, 2011, I visited the TVs Zone website TVs Zone.com, and completed an on-line purchase of a Sansui Combo TV/Blue Ray Player (SANSUI FHDBDP3209 32 IN 1080P LCD/BLU-RAY COMBO PERP2 HDMI S-VID PC INPUT ATSC QAM). The unit cost $549.00. Thereafter, on September *, 2011, I revisited the TVs Zones web site and purchased a MACK IN-HOME 5 YEAR WARRANTY WORLDWIDE COVERAGE FOR TVS UP TO $1000 (Membership #: [redacted], Invoice # [redacted], Order # [redacted]).On August *, 2013, my Sansui television malfunctioned and I contacted a TVs Zone representative to arrange for an in-home repair, per the warranty. The person I spoke with advised me to contact the Mack Worldwide Warranty Company (aka Mack Camera), which I did, and I was advised that the warranty was voided on November *, 2011, and returned to the dealer (TVs Zone). I then contacted TVs Zone by telephone on August **, 2013, and spoke with [redacted] (###-###-####, Ext. [redacted]). [redacted] informed me that he would contact the Mack Company and get back to me. Several minutes later he called and confirmed that my service contract was vided and he indicated that I would be refunded the sum of $129.00 within 7-10 days. Neither party would explain why the warranty was voided. On August **, 2013, I contacted [redacted] by telephone to inform him that I had not received my refund. [redacted] said the refund was processed on August [redacted] and $129.00 was credited to my Visa Debit Account. I advised [redacted] that the card I used to purchase the warranty was no longer active, and he then suggested that I contact my bank. I then telephoned TD Bank who issued the Debit Card I used to purchase the TV and the Warranty. The banking specialist I spoke with advised that there is no evidence that TV Zone attempted to refund the money. Furthermore, the banking specialist indicated that had such a transaction been attempted, a search of the card holders account would be performed and that the funds would find its way into my checking account within a maximum of twenty days. Several minutes later, I again contacted TVs Zone by telephone, and this time [redacted] refused to come to the phone and directed another employee to inform me that the refund would be re-submitted in a few minutes. I was also promised that an e-mail would be sent to me confirming my conversation and TVs Zones intent to remedy my concern. Then while I was on hold the call was disconnected. To date I have not received an e-mail as promised.Based on the above, I am alleging the following: That TVs Zone and/or the Mack Worldwide Warranty Company have defrauded me and possibly other similarly situated customers who purchased repair warranty contracts. I say this because one/or both responsible parties failed to notify me of the decision to void my warranty and then failed to immediately reimburse me and possibly all others affected by their actions. In addition, I am seeking additional compensation/penalties because my manufacturer 1-year warranty has expired and I now am required to pay out-ofpocket for any and all needed repairs going forward.Desired Settlement: Monetary, written apology, and new 5 year repair warranty contract.
