I did not pay for a second year as TWOnline told us they would market our time share for another year for free if we took down our complaint with you And we did

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolvedI do not want to appear unreasonable I had no word from TWOnlineI will try to be more patient
Regards,
*** ***

Revdex.com,
T.WOnline Marketing is currently working Mr***'s *** Properties and am doing everything possible to bring Mr
*** an offer. T.WOnline never asked Mr*** to take down his complaint as he stated, the Revdex.com does not do that even if we did ask. TWOnline did offer a partial refund not mentioned by Mr*** and gave him an additional year at no charge that we are months into (contract signed 4/29/14). As I stated in Mr***'s original complaint (still posted with my response), *** Properties have so much negative information via the internet that it is making hard almost impossible to sale. *** *** has had two separate situations with Mr***'s account with two different clients that backed out because of information found on the internet concerning ***. I personally talked with one of those clients trying to save the deal explaining how anyone is allowed to put anything on the internet without verification (similar to this where Mr*** is allowed to call us a scam and say things like we never sale properties all of which is not true). I explained to the client that *** is a great company with hundreds of thousands of members. Obviously in business your never going to make everyone happy as we're finding out ourselves. When that happens, people can write anything they want without anyone verifying of the validity. After an hour of building *** up, I convinced the client believe in *** and I thought I saved the deal. No, he said "ok, there's tons of them out there online for free. I'll pick one of those up." Frustrating!!! We still have months remaining on the year and we plan on working our tails off to bring Mr*** an offer. I would ask: How many scams do you know of that always answer their phones when you call or returns your call that day? How man work relentlessly with the property and the pricing trying to get you an offer? And how many respond to all things like this? Most I know from my personal experiences, you never hear from them.
Sincerely,
*** ***

Thank you for your understanding and patience while we went through the death of [redacted]’s mom.  I was hoping to get to this matter earlier this week, but glad to at least check it off the list for this week.  [redacted] spoke with Ms. [redacted] (our client) last night and apologized that...

her property didn’t sell.  I too would like to apologize to Ms. [redacted] for the non-sale of her property and to assure her it wasn’t because of the reasons stated in her complaint.  Quite honestly it’s hard to read those things about [redacted] when I see everyday how hard she works. But I guess if we don’t see it for ourselves, we tend to let our thoughts, fears, and (maybe) frustrations take over then next thing you know we’re writing letters to the Revdex.com saying things like “beware beware, they take your money and do nothing” when that is absolutely not true.[redacted] has worked out a deal with Ms. [redacted] to market her property for an additional six (6) months at no charge.  Ms. [redacted] has reduced her price considerably in an effort to offset some objections on [redacted] properties.  Our hope is Ms. [redacted] sales her [redacted] within this six months and everyone goes home happy.Thank you,[redacted]

Thank you for the opportunity to respond and to defend us from these outrageous accusations.  I would first like to apologize to the [redacted]’s for whatever might have happened to them to get them so upset as to make these statements with absolutely no merit at all.  I can say that with...

confidence because I absolutely know we are not involved in any type of scams of any sort including the one suggested by Mrs. [redacted].  We at T.W. Online Marketing are proud of all the hard work to do for our clients and it’s because of that hard work; we have built a great name in this business to the point that other companies refer clients to us.  That is what has happened in this case, another company referred the [redacted]’s to us.  Other than that company giving the [redacted]'s our number, we have no affiliation with them at all.  We put everything in writing so all party's know exactly what to expect. In the complaint, Mrs. [redacted] states, “we were led to believe that this company would list our timeshare for sale, for which we paid $199.00”.  That is exactly what we did.  The property has been on the market for 7 weeks out of a one (1) year contract.  We encourage all clients to give us a call on the toll free number provided to check the status of their listing.  At that time we will make price adjustments on the property at the seller’s request.  There has been absolutely no reason for anyone to have trust issues with our company or it’s representatives.  We will reach out to the [redacted]’s to discuss their listing.Thank you,[redacted]

Very surprise that they are rated A+. We listed our property with Cheryl Moats on 3/19/14 and not one time has she contacted us for an updated status. We have contacted her several times and get the same response it's out to several people but no offer maybe we should lower the price, which we did. Still nothing.

The company is a fraud, take your money and never hear from them again at the least they should have contacted us within the last two years.

Review: I was looking to sell my [redacted] timeshare and was referred to TWOnline Marketing. I immediately went to the Revdex.com site and saw that they were in good standing so felt they were a legitimate company. However, after paying for them to marketing my timeshare, I have had no results. The only contact with the company has been when I've repeatedly check to see how things were going and offered to lower my price in an effort to expedite a sale. I will say, they would immediately contact me and tell me that the offer has been presented to a lot of people and they were getting ready to do a big marketing push. However, I did not receive one single offer. It was insinuated that my timeshare would sell quickly. It was featured on the front page of the website very briefly and I believe it then just sat around with all of the other timeshares people had hoped to sell. I just contacted the company today to let them know I was filing a complaint. This is actually the first time they haven't called me right back. They claim that they return emails and calls and they do. But they do nothing to sell your timeshare. Buyer Beware! They will take your money and list your timeshare on their site and that is the extent of their marketing. Do not work with this company if you actually want to sell your timeshare because the money will come out of your account but you will get nothing in return.Desired Settlement: I would like my fee refunded to my credit card.

Review: On May 21, 2014, my husband ([redacted]) and I spoke with [redacted] of [redacted]. Part of our agreement in purchasing with him was that he would connect us with a person who would sell our timeshares. He even called [redacted] before we purchased with him. We spoke with her on the phone at that time and she assured us that she would be able to sell our timeshares. We made a $2,543 contract with [redacted] based on the assurances from [redacted] and [redacted] that our timeshares would be sold.

On August 11, 2014, we paid $597, or $199 each, to [redacted] of TW Online Marketing for the purpose of selling three (3) timeshares. She was to advertise and sell these timeshares within a year. Two (2) timeshares were located at Waterside by Spinnaker in Hilton Head, SC. The other timeshare was at Tree Tops in Bushkill, PA.

Several months went by and I called [redacted] because I had not heard from her. She told me that she had ‘potential buyers’ but I needed to lower the asking price. I agreed with her to lower the price to meet the request of the ‘potential buyers.’ Again several months went by and no response. I called again to ask what was happening. Her ‘potential buyers’ did not make an offer. So asked again for me to lower the price. I told her fine, put a price where she thought they would sell.

On April 16, 2015, I emailed [redacted] informing her that I had mad other arrangements for the timeshare at Tree Tops in Bushkill, PA. I requested the $199 to be returned since that timeshare was taken care of within her year time frame. She refused to refund the money.

After a year, there was not one ‘potential buyer’ for the timeshare at Hilton Head, SC. In August, 2015, my husband called [redacted] to express our disappointment. She gave us an additional six (6) months at no cost. We never heard another word from [redacted]. The six months was up in February, 2016 and again there were no ‘potential buyers.’

I have read other complaints about this company and the possibility of them running a scam with another company. I will have to agree with that idea because [redacted] was the referring company. I believe they are working hand in hand to scam people with no intentions of selling their timeshares. Since other people have complained, there is no way the Revdex.com should list them with and A+ rating.Desired Settlement: Since [redacted] did not perform the services we paid her to do, we are asking for a refund of $597. Revdex.com should also change the rating for this company. This is not an A+ company.

Response:

Dear Ms. [redacted],I want to apologize for your experience with us here at T.W. Online Marketing that led you to believe that we’re in some kind of scam with another company. I can assure you that is absolutely not true. We have been very successful in this business since 2009 and [redacted] has been very successful in the industry for 25 years now. It is because of that success that other companies in the industry refer business to us. That doesn’t make it a scam, just a referral. I would like to say that if your at a presentation where a [redacted], who I’ve never heard of, is trying to sell you something, I’m sure he has his own agenda for his own reasons. Obviously we can’t be held responsible for things said by a person who does not represent our company. [redacted] and I have discussed this and if there are any future referrals from this [redacted], we will do our do diligence with that client to insure them that we are two completely separate company’s and anything said or assured by him may not be true. Our goal has always been to be honest with our clients and conduct our business with integrity.I see in the notes on your account where [redacted] has worked with you on 9/22/14, 11/20/14, 11/21/14, 11/25/14, 1/12/15, 4/14/15, 4/17/15, 4/18/15, and 8/19/15 (twice that day). There unfortunately are a lot of company’s in this industry who don’t do business, in my opinion, honestly. However, when I hear the stories from clients about those companies, they all have one thing in common. They charged the client thousands of dollars upfront, as compared to our 199.00, and as soon as those companies received the money, all communication immediately ends. They certainly don't continue to work with their clients 10 different times throughout the year marketing their properties as we have done.It is for reasons like this that we have our clients sign a contract stating exactly what we do for the 199.00 and what they can expect from us. We have marketed your properties for 1-½ times the length that we agreed to market them. The fact that a buyer didn’t purchase the properties, just confirms what [redacted] and I both have been saying about this industry and it's future. That in no way means we didn't do our part and market the properties. One of our greatest tools is the quality of these resorts and the fact that only owners are able to stay in these places. They are some of the nicest resorts in the world and if you want to stay in them, you must be an owner. Well that has changed. The resorts themselves, while still raising maintenance fee’s on their owners, are marketing weeks off in packaged deals on every online travel company out there. This enables anyone to simply rent the exact unit without having to pay maintenance fees, taxes, exchange fees, or membership fees like [redacted] In addition, they pay nothing if they don’t use it where owners, as you know, are still responsible for those fees regardless of usage. There are still advantages to owners, but not like it used to be and it’s making it very difficult in the marketing of these properties.I want to work with you and do everything in our power to make you a happy client. I see in the notes that about 6 months after you listed you removed one of your properties. I would like to refund you that 199.00 as a good faith gesture. I would also like to relist the other two properties with some added promotions at no charge. Because of what I said above, I would ask that you get as aggressive on the price as you feel comfortable doing. We will do our part and market these as aggressive as possible. You can contact me ([redacted]) or [redacted] at ([redacted] and we will take care of you.Thank you

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. However, [redacted] is well aware of [redacted] because he called her right as we sat in front of him and then he gave me the phone and I spoke directly to [redacted]. Since [redacted] is part of TW Online Marketing, it seemed reasonable that they were cohorts. I will accept the refund for the timeshare that I took care of and I do appreciate an additional time to sell the other two timeshares. I will work vehemently with you and [redacted] to resolve this issue. Thank you very much for your response.

Review: My husband and I believe that this company is involved in a 3-company scam. This company information was provided to us by a sales representative of [redacted] (one of the companies we believe is involved in this scam). We were led to believe that this company would list our timeshare for sale, for which we paid $199.00. This occurred on or about June 9, 2015. I have a copy of the supposed signed contract if needed. To date, we have had no communication whatsoever with this company. I have not, and will not, attempt to contact them as I believe I will not be told the truth about the status of our contract. We feel as though we have been taken advantage of and do not want this to happen to other individuals. We find it very disturbing that individuals have the audacity to take advantage of people and we would like to see this company, along with the other companies involved, put out of business.Desired Settlement: We would like to see the individuals and companies involved in this scam shut down.

Review: A year ago these people said they could sell our time shares for maybe $14,500 to $18,900 (suggested asking price). We didn't want to believe them but their Revdex.com rating was good so we said OK. Months went by with no offers. We called them and said we will take $10,000. Still no offers! We called again and said we are interested in ANY offer. Never got even ONE!

We paid them $597.00 and got nothing from them other than some advertising. We do not believe there was ANY honesty in THEIR CLAIM to sell our time share.Desired Settlement: We would like our money back and a BIG ding in their Revdex.com rating as that was the ONLY reason we fell for this scam!

Response:

I apologize and am surprised about the complaint from the [redacted]'s. Surprised because we haven't heard any complaints from the [redacted]'s ourselves even though we have talked and worked with them several times trying to sell their properties. For them to call us a scam is not only untrue, but an insult based on all the work we've done on their properties. I have enclosed a copy of the notes on their account that show all the different times we've worked with them and confirming the facts below.

We started marketing three properties February 8th, 2013 that is historically the middle of our industries slow season. We spoke with our client two separate times on May 2nd with them telling us they wanted to sell their properties as a package deal. Around the end of March or early April, when things start picking up, we offered the properties out with the Star Pass as a packaged deal according to the information given by the client. We do start the price at the higher end, which we tell them, because you can always come down but not go up, however, June 5th our client called and told [redacted] that they do not have the star pass for the package. This may explain why Mr. [redacted] thought the original price was too high because it was too high without the Star Pass. The Client did reduce the package price to 12,995 (not 10,000 as stated in the complaint) August 13, 2013 but that was now for two properties, not three as originally offered out. Obviously any prospected buyers turned away those offers as most buyers usually do when things change. all of this can be verified in the included notes.

With the reduced packaged price for the two properties, [redacted] offered them out and sent information to the three potential buyers. While following up with the prospects, it appeared two of them were just looking (happens a lot in our industry) but one of them did appear to have a legitimate interest. [redacted] spoke a couple of times with the prospect that had a lot of questions and wanted to do some research. The prospect called [redacted] back saying he's not interested at all. [redacted] could tell something had changed so asked why. The prospect stated that during his research he read numerous complaints about [redacted] Properties on Consumeraffairs.com that he forwarded to us and I have included with this letter (I have verified this at consumeraffairs.com/travel/shell_vacation_club.html). [redacted] explained to the prospect that [redacted] Properties have thousands and thousands of owners and 99% of them are very happy. Of course there's going to be some upset people out there but there's always two sides to every story and this is only one side. Unfortunately the Internet allows anyone to say anything about a company without verification of its authenticity. The prospect didn't want to hear anymore, said he had make his mind up and didn't make on offer.

Last year was a down year not only for us but also for our entire industry. We have offered our clients half off their renewals because of last year but are telling them there's no guarantee this years going to be better. We hope it is and it's starting off better but obviously that can change. In our business, it's not just the economy that affects us, it's the uncertainty of the future of the economy. Our buyers are making a long-term commitment not only for the expense of vacationing in general but for the expense of the maintenance fees too. We do and have worked very hard overcoming these obstacles but can't overcome them every time especially when a prospect throws a Consumer Affairs report at us like in this case.

Just like anyone can put things on Consumer Affairs about [redacted] Properties (which I know is not true, [redacted] is a very credible company). Mr. [redacted] has now put on the Revdex.com that we are a scam that's a permanent record on us (which I also know is not true). I will offer to renew Mr. [redacted]'s listing for 198.00 that is 1/2 our price with the understanding it is a tough market and there is no guarantee this year's going to be better than last. We will work hard on selling the properties but I certainly don't think it's fair to never come to us with a complaint and then go to the Revdex.com to label us a scam. Just like I don't think it's fair for other owners calling [redacted] a scam when there's no verification of their stories.

Thank you,

Steve Manning

Response:

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I would like to apologize to Steve Manning for not contacting him first with our concern. He mentioned "we have talked and worked with them several times". This was always initiated by us! We were asking "what can we do to sell these properties". As for Starr Pass, I have no idea what he was talking about, as we have never owned there.

As for the 1/2 price deal for another year, I'd feel like a fool to give them more money after the service we received. Be glad to give them the $199 after the sale!

Regards,

Review: I had previously had a bad experience with a company that said they would sell my timeshare. This time, prior to signing the contract, I investigated the company and found that they had an A+ rating with Revdex.com. Since Revdex.com has been very supportive to me in the past, I felt that I was in good hands with an A+ rated company.

Unfortunately, I was wrong. This is what happened.

On 9/22/14 I contacted [redacted] of TW Online. I advised her that I was very skeptical about selling my time share because I had previously been taken. She agreed that there are many fraudulent companies taking advantage of people but that she would do everything in her power to make the transaction as quick as possible as she was an expert in my Timeshare property. I put my faith in her and TW Online as she is listed as the VP of the company.

I signed the contract on Oct 14, 2014 and was told it would be sold within 6 months. I agreed to pay the $199.00 fee as [redacted] repeatedly said, she sells Westgate properties all the time and this property would sell almost immediately. I stated that I wanted to sell quickly and she set the price for a quick sale. Then nothing happened. I mean nothing. No calls, no emails, nothing!

I called [redacted] a couple of months later and she suggested that we lower the price and it would sell within weeks as she was preparing for a big event. I agreed and explained again that I wanted the property sold ASAP. She also stated that she would make it a featured property and would be in touch very soon. Once again, nothing, no call, no emails, nothing!

I emailed [redacted] again on 7/7/15 and she called and agreed to waive any fees until the property sold. She stated that the property was correctly priced and did not need to be reduced and once again would make it a featured property. I was hoping that things would change, but nothing again.

Since then, I have called and emailed to no avail. I just checked the website and my property isn't even listed. I sent them an email saying I was filing this complaint. Let's see if they answer that email.

So I believe that this company is a scam! Please update your rating as they are not responsive to people and all they want is their money. They do not deserve an A+ and should have an F so no one else falls victim to their scam.

Very disappointed!Desired Settlement: I would like a refund and the companies rating should be dropped to an F so no one else gets taken.

Response:

Ms. [redacted], I apologize for your past experience with another company and I apologize you feel that way about us. I assure you we are not in the same category. We hear things like this all the time usually with the story including clients spending thousands of dollars up front with the other company and being told things like "we have a buyer waiting on you". We've worked really hard on our A+ rating with the Revdex.com and one of the reasons we achieved it is we never have and never will do business like that. Our 199.00 fee is an advertising fee and is the only fee we charge our advertisers.Another thing we pride ourselves in is communication. We have a very sophisticated phone/email system that tags our client database when that client calls or emails us. You are stating some things that do not match our records. Currently I have you advertising your property with us on 10/14/14 for 12 months like you said. I have you contacting [redacted] on 7/20/15 at 6:51pm lowering the price from 12,995.00 to 9,995.00. I then have you calling yesterday (Sunday) at 3:08pm without leaving a message and emailing us yesterday (Sunday) at 3:09pm threatening to file a complaint with the Revdex.com. Then I have you filing this complaint with the Revdex.com at 1:22am today (Monday). I think that is completely unfair and untrue to call/email us on a day known to be closed by companies and file a complaint 10 hours later with accusations that we don't respond to our clients. I will say out of almost 10,000 clients, I know it's impossible to make 100% of them happy, however, even the handful that complained in 5 years all said we're good at returning calls/emails.We are a small company with tons of experience. [redacted]'s been doing this for 25 years and is one of the best in the industry. Even the best is not 100%. [redacted] encourages all her clients to check in as much as they want to see what's going on with their ad. It's very time consuming to call every client unless we have an offer on their property and we try to communicate that to every client. I will say last year in particular was a difficult year for [redacted] loosing her mother and grandmother within months of each other. I'm not making excuses for her but I know it affected her. I'm willing to work with you to resolve this matter.I will relist your property at no charge. The Internet is changing this industry significantly where there once was a day you only could book these resorts if you were an owner. They are some of the nicest resorts in the world and that was a great advantage to us. Now, pretty much all travel search engines book packaged deals to these properties without ownership or maintenance fee's. It is for this reason I would get as aggressive on the price as you can. It won't cost you anything to give us another shot. You can call me direct ([redacted]) or contact [redacted] and it will be taken care of.Thank you

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and although I do not agree with everything stated I will give them another chance. They agreed to relist the property until sold with no further fees and to maintain contact with me every 30-45 days. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Review: 2 years ago TWOnline Marketing agreed to market our time share for a year for their fee. After the year and NO offers I wrote the Revdex.com (complaint #[redacted]) saying I believed TWOnline was a scam. TWOnline immediately called me and offered a second year of "marketing" free if we took down our complaint. We did. During that second year we had several conversations with TWOnline about activity and price. At the end of TWO years not one offer and they set the price! (We asked them to lower the price at least twice) I really believe they will take your money and post your property, but they DON"T SELL TIME SHARES!Desired Settlement: We went with TWOnline because they said they had an excellent rating with the Revdex.com. I'd like to warn others and tarnish that rating.

Response:

I did not pay for a second year as TWOnline told us they would market our time share for another year for free if we took down our complaint with you. And we did.

Response:

Revdex.com,

T.W. Online Marketing is currently working Mr. [redacted]'s [redacted] Properties and am doing everything possible to bring Mr. [redacted] an offer. T.W. Online never asked Mr. [redacted] to take down his complaint as he stated, the Revdex.com does not do that even if we did ask. T. W. Online did offer a partial refund not mentioned by Mr. [redacted] and gave him an additional year at no charge that we are 6 months into (contract signed 4/29/14). As I stated in Mr. [redacted]'s original complaint (still posted with my response), [redacted] Properties have so much negative information via the internet that it is making hard almost impossible to sale. [redacted] has had two separate situations with Mr. [redacted]'s account with two different clients that backed out because of information found on the internet concerning [redacted]. I personally talked with one of those clients trying to save the deal explaining how anyone is allowed to put anything on the internet without verification (similar to this where Mr. [redacted] is allowed to call us a scam and say things like we never sale properties all of which is not true). I explained to the client that [redacted] is a great company with hundreds of thousands of members. Obviously in business your never going to make everyone happy as we're finding out ourselves. When that happens, people can write anything they want without anyone verifying of the validity. After an hour of building [redacted] up, I convinced the client believe in [redacted] and I thought I saved the deal. No, he said "ok, there's tons of them out there online for free. I'll pick one of those up." Frustrating!!! We still have 6 months remaining on the year and we plan on working our tails off to bring Mr. [redacted] an offer. I would ask: How many scams do you know of that always answer their phones when you call or returns your call that day? How man work relentlessly with the property and the pricing trying to get you an offer? And how many respond to all things like this? Most I know from my personal experiences, you never hear from them.

Sincerely,

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. I do not want to appear unreasonable. I had no word from TWOnline. I will try to be more patient.
