Review: My Complaint also involved safety issues too:I lost my daughter in 2009 in a car accident and this year if she had lived she would have been 25 years old. I paid to have a function at the Twelve Lounge in honored of my baby birthday which is August 10th but planned on having the function August 9, 2014. However, over the weekend I heard that the XXII Lounge had a horrific event take place, which involved a murder and the District of Columbia Police Department had shut their club down for 96 hour pending investigation. While I know that anything can happen anywhere, I also have to keep in mind the safety of my patrons. The clientele expected to attend my event are senior citizens and a mixed crowd of mature adults. Because of the uncertainty surrounding the aforementioned event, I had requested to be refunded the $1000 that I paid on May 9, 2014 but was told that I had to wait until August to get my money. It has not been 30 day before requesting a refund. Also was told that they was working on refunding money back to those individual who pay in May and then June, July and then August. I have reached out to Councilmember [redacted] of Ward 6 and 7 on your side to get some assistance with getting my money back.Desired Settlement: I just want my $1000 that was paid so that I try and find some where else to honor my daughter birthday.

Review: For my birthday I attended an event held at the Twelve Night Club, on August 3rd. I ordered two meals of which the quality of the food was substandard and unsatisfactory (Total $16.25). I complained to the server, then the Manager who assured me that one of the meals would be replaced. After over forty five minutes of waiting, my party and I decided to forgo the replacement order. I asked the server to be refunded and was informed that the Manager stated it was nothing he could do about it. In total disagreement I countered that a refund was required due to the extended delay. The Manager in a reluctance returned with cash in the amount of $12.00. In confusion and exhaustion I accepted the cash refund despite the difference in the amount paid. Upon checking my recent account history I noticed where my account was debited twice from this establishment (total of $32.50).Desired Settlement: The desired outcome is to receive a refund for the total debited to my card. The whole experience was a disappointment for my birthday due to the poor customer service and food provided by Twelve Lounge. Due to the inconvenience and at a minimum I will accept the refund for the duplicate charge debited from my account.

[redacted] letting her know that the issue has been resolved and she will receive a credit of $16.25 for the duplicate charge. I provided a direct number for **. [redacted] should she have any further concerns.
