Twenty Four Seven Vanlines Reviews (3)

Review: I have received my shipment finally. 18 days after it was picked up, and 9 days after my original delivery date. After 2 missed delivery dates, they are attempting to charge me an additional $500 for redelivery because they tried to deliver on a date I told them I could not be available due to travel, even though the agreement allows for 30 days of free storage. My original quote was $2300.00, my final bill was near $3700. They caused at least $150 worth of damage the building I moved out of, and somewhere in the neighborhood of $1000 to my merchandise ( I am now unpacking and calculating ).They are unprofessional, liars, cheaters, swindlers and the only people worth of calling themselves professionals are the actual laborers themselves. 24/7 is NOT A VANLINE, they are a BROKERAGE. None of my goods were shipped on their trucks. Even though they acted as if this would be handled by them, instead they hire contractors, with shotty equipment.24/7 Van Lines is a SCAM, SHAM, and if you do business with them, do so at your own peril. Ben is a liar that will say anything for you to sign an agreement, knowing full well you will not have the opportunity to walk away from them once the movers are there. Robbie is an absolute mn posing to be some sort of manager with a backbone, when in fact he is a little boy with the manly caliber of Boy George. The owners of the company are either absent, or under such scrutiny that they will not make a phone call, handle customer service issues/complaints, or want anyone to know their true identity. I cannot stress strongly enough how absolutely horrible my experience with 24/7 has been, and I would never allow anyone I know or love.. actually I wouldnt allow anyone I didnt like to utilize their services at any time under any condition. I estimate I will be spending another 20 to 50 hours filing lawsuits, disputing charges, hiring attorneys and doing what I can to assure that these people are no longer able to do business at all and to draw out the owners to make them accountable for their companies behavior.Based on my limited unpacking, so far I have an armoir with the entire back blasted out of it, 2 end tables both missing legs, a personal butler that is destroyed, scratches all over my entertainment unit, and to this point approximately $5000 in damage.

I would like my expenses incurred due to their negligence and mis information reimbursed, I would like the company investigated to see whether or not it is a legitimate entity and notify potential future customers of their ways of doing business

Review: I was quoted extremely low, and didn’t find out till my goods were hostage that the price was almost triple. I then called and spoke with [redacted] from the San Diego department. I explained my situation and he started to get extremely rude, and I asked to speak with a manager multiple times. I then told him to "let me speak to a damn manager." He then hung up on me after telling me I was racist. I then received several calls from his friend trying to manipulate me into an argument which I felt was going to be used as possible leverage after a complaint. I was able to talk with their Operations Manager out of Las Angeles and she told me they would audit the phone calls and disciple if necessary. No further updats have been issued.Desired Settlement: Employee [redacted] be Reprimanded, and billing adjustment closer to quote.

Review: I received an e-mail from [redacted] at 24/7 vanlines after doing a search for moving companies. We went through a verbal inventory over the phone and quoted me a low price of $2706 and guaranteed me that the price would not go higher. I took him up on his offer. I had family ready to help me move, but instead, because of this guaranteed price, I booked the move and decided to ship my car instead of rent a moving truck and tow my vehicle. On moving day, the company picked up my items and then, after everything was loaded up, gave me a new price of $4059. Not only did I have to pay the price, but they mistakenly charged my credit card twice and then told me it was a mistake from the bank. They finally admitted that they made a mistake and I am still waiting on a refund, over 2 weeks later. Despite double charging me, the movers still tried to collect 40% of the total bill. It took the movers 2 days to get the information they needed so they didn't try to collect upon pickup. The moving company offered to give me a 5% discount and refund that amount on my credit card, but I haven't been reimbursed yet. The delivery of my furniture was an absolute disaster. Three items didn't even show up and they damaged 9 other items. I estimate they lost or damaged over $1100 worth of items. They did a horrible job of packing my items, one example would be that they just wrapped up glass in blankets instead of boxing them. Many of my items were stained, scuffed, or cracked.Desired Settlement: I think this company should reimburse me for the difference of the actual price and the quoted price which would total $1353 and do a total reimbursement for my lost items which would total $600. Those lost items include a 3 seat couch, a 9x11 rug, and a step stool. I informed the company one week ago and they told me they would look into it, but I haven't heard back from them. I also believe the company should reimburse $367.20 for my damaged items. The damaged items total 612 lbs at $.60 per pound.
