Twilight on the Erie RV ResortPO Box Marina ParkwayMacedon, NY 14502*** *** ***, ext ***Revdex.comBryant Woods SouthAmherst, NY 14228Dear *** *** and ***,July II, 2015My husband and I received today, two complaints filed by consumers of our park, same party.ID- *** and
***It is understandable that they may be disgruntled as they wereescorted out of our park by the Town of Macedon Police as well as the Dog WardenIt was anunpleasant experience which I can explain as follows:Ms*** reserved our three cabins for herself and family membersThey contacted us twoweeks before their stay to inform us they would be coming a day earlier and leave a day earlier, before the holidayI explained that the third cabin is due to be completed by the st as they hadreserved originally, but we would do our best to have it ready for them upon their arrive theevening of the 30thThe cabin was completed and ready for them to stay by 5:pmTheirparty sat outside the unfinished cabin waiting in lieu of going to the two finished cabins to getsettledThey were clearly displeased that they had to waitWe were hrs past check in time,so we provided the cabin at half price for them and in the inconvenienceWe also provided themwood for their campfires at no cost for their wait. The pool item in their complaint was publicized on our website as well as Ms *** and Idiscussed this item two weeks prior to their stayI offered a full refund if they chose to canceldue to the pool not being completedThey decided to keep their reservations and we providedinformation for several options for them as other activities in the area.Regarding code enforcement for the cabins and the swimming pool: We are in compliance withthe Town of Macedon for both the cabins and the swimming pool that was under construction. An orange fence and yellow caution tape surrounds the poolDuring the day however when thecontractors are working, the fence is moved out of their way, then put back up.During their stay, the family violated several rules (attached)Through the first two days of theirstay, we received several complaints from neighboring campers that included reports of burningplastic and bottles in the campfire, yelling at their children, nuisance barking dogs, and notpicking up after their dogsThey also had left feces, mud, and gravel in the shower stallsWe inthe end called the police who called the dog warden as their dogs were left in two of the cabinsunattended during the dayWe called the authorities as they refused to return to the park to carefor their animals. As per our information and rules, no refunds are provided if consumers are asked to leave to duesituations such as the above described behavior.Should you need more information from us, please call me ###-###-####Also, there would bea police report on file with the Macedon police as well as the dog warden on file if needed.Barb H***

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Regards,
[redacted] To address the response to my complaint #[redacted] against Reds Twighlight RV on the Erie.  First, we were NOT escorted out by the police or the dog warden. We were called by both of them at the request of the owners.  When we asked if we could move our reservations up by one day, we were told it would be no problem. When I saw the post on line that the pool was not going to be finished because of the weather, I e-mailed the owners and explained this was an inconvenience to us as we would need to find some place for my grandsons age 5,4 to swim. They offered us a refund to go some place else. At that point I called several camp sites in the area and they were booked. So we had no choice but to stay were we already had reservations. On the Friday prior to our reservation on the 30th of June I went to the camp site and at that time I saw that the cabin was not ready. At that time I found the owner (Barb) who informed me that no problem it would be ready for us at check-in time on the 30th. Not only was it not ready but it took until 7:30p.m. not 5:30p.m. as they stated in there response. And yes we waited for the cabin to be done b/c as I explained to the owners that cabin was going to be our home base and we were going to eat all our meals there and store all our food there. So NO we did not want to go to the other cabins and unpack everything, just to have to pack it all back up and take it back down to the unfinished cabin when they FINALLY finished it. We were not the one's in the wrong on this! As for the fence around the pool when we arrived we had to find something for the boys to do, so we took them to the play ground (which is right next to unfinished pool) There was no fence up around the hole in the ground and no one was working on it. For that matter no one was working on this hole in the ground the entire time we were there.  When we called the code enforcer's  office we were told that the campsite was not in compliance  and the cabins had not been inspected. And I know for a fact there were no smoke alarms in any of the cabins. In their list of rules, no where is it stated what can and c[redacted]ot be placed into the fire ring. Also no rule not to call after our children. Especially during daytime hours. We picked up after our dogs and they flat out lied about that. The dog barking was at only one of the cabins and they forget to mention they were working on the flower garden right behind the cabin. Any dog is going to bark if they think someone is too close to their house. We were asked to leave all three cabins, only two cabins had dogs. What is there reason for the third one to leave? Their website says they are pet friendly??? Our dogs were walked regularly and had water and food and shelter. There was no reason for the warden to be called.  As for the wood they left us free, it was the wood that was left over from finishing the cabin it had nails in it and they just didn't want to take the time to take it away. There was NEVER feces left anywhere. As for the mud in the shower, ummmmm yeah, it rained non stop while we were there and the boys got muddy. We needed to wash them.  Also maybe if they had provided the straw they promised to lay down so there wouldn't be so much mud it might have help with the mess. They also said they would provide us with rugs to wipe our feet on before entering there cabin and they never did that either. In the end we refused to file a police report against them. Maybe not the best idea We paid for the night we were asked to leave and received no compensation for having to leave. Also no compensation for having been called away from amusement park early.  I sincerely hope if they ever get the chance to have grandchildren that no one treats their grandchildren the way they did ours. They were very disappointed about having to leave the campground and the amusement park.  The WORST experience of my life.  Sincerely [redacted]
