This company overcharged me on the date of service. They made me pay on the date of service (12/31/2019) before they received any information from my insurance company. I paid $1500, but my insurance has indicated that my portion was only $735.75. They have received all this same information from my insurance company and I have reached out to them many times to request my refund. When I call, I'm always placed on hold. They leave me on hold for more than 10 minutes at a time and due to the fact that they are only open during work hours, I can't wait more than 10 minutes to actually talk about my bill with someone. I have faxed them a letter requesting my refund of $764.25, but I have not receive it yet and they have not contacted me to discuss the issue.
We did send the patient a refund check back on 2/25/20. We never received a letter so not sure where there went to and there were no notes in her account that she spoke to anyone. The refund was sent out in our normal refund process once we receive the correspondence from insurance and the check processes from insurance.
You must pay for all your services the date of service.
Your insurance reimburses them. If there’s an overpayment they hold the overpayment for more than three weeks. You must call them several times to get reimbursed. They say it’s because the insurance may want the money back and “it’s easier to keep the overpayment to just make sure”.
