Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted].
The response from Twin City Dental is not accurate. I met with [redacted] in July and asked her if she could have my dentures completed before August 19th and she replied; she would be able to accommodate this time frame as I didn't require extractions and I had already worn dentures for some time. I was notified the cost would be $2,200.00 for the set.  Half was to be paid up front and the other half would be paid "upon delivery" (when they were completed).  I replied that would be fine, but I would be paying the full amount up from, plus $156.00 for my husband's consultation. [redacted] escorted me to the front desk on July 14th where I provided the receptionist with my credit card.  [redacted] was standing there with me when I told the receptionist I would pay the full amount plus my husband's consultation.  This statement was made twice in [redacted]'s presence. I continued with my scheduled appointments.  At the first try in, I told [redacted] I looked toothless and asked her to lower the top set.  At the second try in, I told [redacted] the bottom set were too tall.  [redacted] marked them with a marker and I asked her to use the top of the mark, otherwise, they would be too short. When I went to pick up my final product (Delivery Day), I notified [redacted] hey were too low and stuck out over my gums.  I asked [redacted] if she could build them up or reline them.  She told me no, and relines would not build them up.  She then informed me they were closing for a two week vacation and scheduled an appointment for her return. The next day, I went to Dr. [redacted] (the dentist in the office) and she adjusted them as my gums had sore spots and I couldn't wait two weeks for [redacted] to return. My next several adjustments were with [redacted], where I showed her how I had to roll a piece of paper towel under the lower set because any bite pressure would cause he back to flip up, they also stuck out too far as did the top set.  [redacted] told me to use [redacted] in place of a paper towel, however the [redacted] did not work as it did not raise the lower set enough.  I left [redacted]'s office unescorted as I paid for the full set at my first appointment. I returned to Florida, still using paper towels and [redacted] under the bottom set as the [redacted] did bot work and became too costly to use multiple strips to try to raise them. On September 15th, I emailed [redacted] notifying her the bottom set did not fit correctly and asked what could be done to resolve this issue?  [redacted] replied on September 19th as[redacted] me to call the office so we could figure this out.  Florida was struck by Hurricane Irma and I was unable to respond right away.  I emailed [redacted] October 5th apologizing for the delay due to the hurricane.  I asked what we could do as I would not be returning to Maine for a long time. October 11th, I received a response as[redacted] if I could see a denturist in Florida?  It also stated, if I still needed additional adjustments when I returned to Maine to let them know.  I responded the same day inquiring what another denturist would be able to do as [redacted] told me they would not be able to build them up and a reline would not help.  Again, I stated I would not be returning to Maine for 9-11 months. During a phone conversation in October with [redacted], she discovered the office had only billed me for half of my set instead of the full amount I requested.  I believe, had I not placed a complaint their billing error would not have been discovered as we all believed I had paid the full amount in July. October 24th, I emailed [redacted] again apologizing the dentures are causing both of us a problem.  I notified this set was not working for me and I was using my old set.  I outlined our phone "white wash".  I then inquired what I should do with the top set as they didn't line up with anything properly and I couldn't bite or chew.  [redacted] responded to find another dentist to make bottom dentures.  I responded to [redacted] that the top was not fine and they were useless to me..  I stated I would return the entire set and would expect a full refund. [redacted] responded, I would need to speak to the office manager regarding a refund and to address my emails to [redacted] (I never met [redacted] and still do not know who [redacted] is). On November 3rd, I returned the complete denture set and asked for a full refund. I am not looking for trouble.  I travelled 40 miles one way multiple times to obtain dentures for myself and my husband.  My goal was to get and pay for a set of dentures that fit properly.  However, at this point, Twin City Dental has my dentures and my $1,100.00.
