Twin City Eye Care Reviews (1)

I had an eye exam and purchased a pair of progressive eye glasses and was told to wear them for a month or two and problems continue in sight.Date of purchase and eye care exam [redacted] Exam paid [redacted] Frames [redacted] Progressive Highest and Best Quality Lenses [redacted] While everything felt great when I left, I spent a week and had trouble with the reading portion, and glasses were slipping. Went into Twin City to have glasses tightened and mentioned the problem with reading and was told "Oh I can give you more reading room no problem". I was concerned and mentioned that to the front desk, as I liked the clarity in the top/distance portion. But front desk clerk indicated she had wears the progressives with more reading for computer and loves them. So I let them fix the glasses. I received my new progressives about 10 days later and I no longer had progressives wherein I could see long distance, they were "computer/reading glasses". My entire nightmare came true...lost the great distance I had. I was in tears on the way home and called, and front desk clerk could not help me, and referred me to the optical fit person, and I drove back and said these were NOT what I asked for. After an argument, and honestly my belief he confused me with the patient before me as I was a walk in for the fitting and he jumped to saying no problem with giving me more reading/computer and not lose distance. Anyhow, he took back the glasses and said he was going to put the lenses back into them and it was about 5 days or less later I was told my glasses were ready (really...when I was told the lenses come from Germany and takes about 2 weeks). This left me with a RED FLAG. I came in and was told that he was not able to get a credit for the reading/computer lenses so he put them into another pair of frames (which I appreciated) and gave me my original frames and lenses paid for back. All seemed good when I left. However, it has been about a month and STILL I have VISION issues and cannot see out of either of the glasses provided to me. The ones for the computer/reading nor the original progressive lenses. I did have the lenses double checked by another eye care provider in [redacted] to verify script and they did match, and said they were progressives, but could not tell me what type of lense quality they were. I feel ripped off...paying over [redacted] for high quality progressive eye glasses and yet I get better vision through your CVS reading glasses. I asked at the time of the first problem when the progressives were changed into computer/readers and told I could not have both distance and computer, it was one or the other stated by [redacted]. So I said I wanted and always wanted distance with my progressives so I could put on and wear them all day. I asked the front desk about a refund and she said I had to talk to [redacted], their eyewear/lense fit person. While he tried to make the matter right, I am still left with an expensive pair of eyeglasses I CANNOT WEAR and CANNOT see clearly out of. My vision is as blurry without them as they are with them. I came back to Twin City Eye Care because I was treated right the first time many years ago, as was my mother. I am not sure in the exchange of lenses whether the quality of the lenses changed or not. I went upon the recommendation from [redacted] who did my exam about the new progressives that were so easy to adjust to, cost more but worth it. That is what I went with initially, and paid for. I cam to Twin City as my eyeglasses from Reliant Medical were making me ill in 15 minutes and [redacted], the fit specialist, looked at them and said they don't line up right and never would, and the lenses had waves in them, which would cause nauseous. Well I am having nausea wearing these new glasses from Twin City. I can not longer trust them that that quality I paid for out of pocket is what I received. I don't want to fight this battle anymore as I suffer from extreme and debilitating anxiety and panic disorder, and this matter has caused extensive stress and anxiety with all the issues. I WANT A REFUND so I can get a pair of progressives that WORKDesired SettlementI want a FULL refund of [redacted] which includes the eye exam, as I am going to have to pay out of pocket again (as I have no insurance) to have another eye exam done to purchase a pair of progressive eyeglasses that will actually allow me to see all day long and not make me nauseous or require me to have reading glasses to read labels or the computer or a book. I am happy to return both eyeglasses to Twin City as they are of NO USE to me. I DO NOT AND WILL NOT go back in for additional stress to perform another eye exam. THE TRUST IS BROKEN...I have to end this soon as I am getting nauseous using the "computer/readers" they gave me. It should not be this difficult to SEE.
