Initial Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2014/07/09) */
I just set up a meeting with *** for tomorrow 7/He stated that he had a skylight leakI will do a follow up with the Revdex.com after our meeting regarding the leak and it's cause, faulty skylight, flashing etcWe could not find this file
because it goes back to and is not on site or under warranteeWe will respond in the interest of customer satisfaction

Installed a new roof, siding, and 5 windows in our home do to hail damage insurance claim. They installed the roof in one day and I was pleased with the quality of their workmanship and the speed they put the roof up. They were here at 7:00am and left at 5:00pm. They ordered windows and installed them in the front of our house [high quality [redacted] and [redacted] windows]. Then the siding people came; It took about 3 weeks [two attached houses; we live in a twin home]. I would recommend them to anybody that wants good quality work done. Good hard workers. Good crew of people. They bent over backwards to do everything we asked [special/custom gable pediment design they custom built for us; Installed our copper duck weathervane on the roof]. We worked with Jim [redacted], the owner [forgot his name], and Jeff [redacted]. Everyone was very nice to us. Everything went smooth.

We do value [redacted] as a client and want all of our clients to have peace of mind that the jobs Twin City Roofing Construction Specialists complete are up to code and are leak free for years to come.
The job performed at XXXX XXnd Ave...

S. Mpls. passed [redacted] inspection on Nov.5th by the city of Mpls. The job has not leaked since our install. When we talked to [redacted] last fall we agreed to address his concerns in the spring due to the winter conditions. We will contact [redacted] and change out his soil stack as well as reassure him that the the light in the attic is normal due to the design of the roof vents installed. If [redacted] has any other concerns we will address them at the time of our meeting. We will also give [redacted] a gift card as a token of our appreciation.

I just recieved the Revdex.com complaint that the complaint # [redacted] was reopened. We did respond to the customers concerns on 5/14.. We replaced a plumbing stack as well as addressed the clients other concerns. When our service tech. left the client was satisfied. A gift card was sent on 6/10. the client should have recieved it by now. I just called the client to confirn that he recieved the card as well as address any other issues. I will again respond after I talk to the client as I had to leave a voice mail.

Did a fantastic job with our roof. We were having leaking issues and they came out and got the roofing part of the job done quickly and the pricing was right.

While I couldn't have asked for a better outcome with the roof, it is my feeling that they failed to follow though on all the cosmetic updates mentioned by the sales guy. Took multiple phone calls and e-mails before I finally got a response. After reporting the issue they came out and and took care of one side and not the other. Came out a second time and repaired something I hadn't complained about, but that they were "embarrassed" over . Now I get the "it's not in the contract and I don't remember that story". Shame on me for not making sure it was in the contract, shame on them for not following through.

When we received this complaint one of our managers contacted [redacted] and set an appointment the first week of July to meet and resolve any issues [redacted] has. The main problem is ventilation, insulation. We will come up with a solution and will...

update this response after our meeting.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 9, 2014/07/30) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The main problem is not ventilation or insulation the main problem is the leaky roof around the chimney and the sadle that was removed around the chimney and then tried to be sold back to me. This caused damege inside the home and has nothing to do with ventilation or insulation.
The other issue is the fact that Twin City roofing re shigled over bad decking without offering a quote to replace the decking and I now have to have the new shingles removed and replaced when I redeck to make it right.
The contact in July never got a quote or anything back to me for weeks then wanted to charge me 1800 for the chimney repair and saddle. Again I have pictures of the saddle being there before they started. I had a contractor quote 900 to fix chimney crown just want the saddle replaced leak fixed and damage inside fixed.
He never did come back with the quote I asked for for anything else like redecking. Not a good person to be sending out and didnt care at all all talk.
I have been contacted by [redacted] General Manager of their company last week. He is to be contacting me to set up visit by fri of this week. He says he is the guy and will help - we shall see starting with a call back on agreed upon schedule.
If he can help to satisfaction then we can close if not I want to leave this open.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/12/02) */
On or about 06/05/2014 TCR performed roofing and siding repairs to an existing roofing & siding system at Mr. [redacted]'s residence. The repairs performed without issue for the remainder of 2014 and up to August of 2015. It is important to...

note that during the winter period of 2014 - 2015 the Twin Cities incurred significant snow falls with total accumulations in excess of 100 inches (see: noaa.gov).
In August of 2015 Mr. [redacted] reported a "roof leak." At which time we provided a service call to his residence. Our Service Technician, Bob [redacted] photographed the roof specifically the location that TCR repaired and identified multiple punctures in the roof that were not present after TCR performed its repair opertions in 2014. I informed Mr. [redacted] that the impact marks to the roof were consistent with ice dam removal and were not a warrantable item either as to workmanship or material defects. Mr. [redacted] denied any snow removal during the 2014-2015 winter season.
Nevertheless, I informed Mr. [redacted] that such damage was not warrantable and no evidence suggested a defect in performance on behalf of TCR.
Consequently, Mr. [redacted] filed a complaint with the Revdex.com.
Subsequently, as of December 1, 2015, TCR representatives are scheduled to meet at Mr. [redacted]'s residence on Friday, December 4, 2015 at or near 10:00 AM as proposed to re-evaluate his concerns.
Upon this second site inspection TCR shall provide a follow up report. It is the intention of TCR staff to comprise an amicable resolution to Mr. [redacted]'s concerns, but as indicated above, at this point no data exists to suggest that TCR is responsible for the current condition of Mr. [redacted]'s roofing system.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 8, 2015/12/07) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
No one contacted me on Friday 12/4- I was home in the morning, so I m waiting to hear back from Tcr.As to the roof damage from ice dams(?) , I would like to see evidence that it is where the leak is occurring,it looks to me and my wife that the leak is coming from the same side where the repair work was done originally, so if someone could come out that would be appreciated and we can get to the bottom of what is causing the problem.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2015/12/09) */
Per phone from Jim [redacted] "we had someone out to the property on 12/4 around 2:30 in the afternoon. The homeowner again failed to meet us at the home and we went back up on to the roof to survey. The same damage was still on the existing roof that indicates ice dam removal. Ice dam damage is not covered within our warranty for repairs. The damage due to ice dam removal was throughout the entirety of the roof including our repair done in the summer of 2014. We will try to set up another appointment at the home of the consumer to address the issues one last time. I will be contacting the consumer today"
