Review: Yesterday I purchased 18 pieces of Whiting Fish and a bag of fish fry for $11.47 from the Seafood Department in Twin City Supermarket. When I got home and proceeded to prepare the fish for cooking, I discovered 14 pieces of fish. Naturally I returned to the store with the items I purchased and asked for the return of my money. However, the man at the counter refused saying the store does not take back fresh fish. I let him know that I counted out 18 pieces of fish, asked him to fillet them, then paid him. So I knew exactly how many I purchased! I told him that his worker had only put 14 pieces in my bag and I wanted my money back. While in the presence of an in-store Plainfield police officer, I also told him that this was not the first time the store shorted me fish. It happened about two years ago as well. Although I stood at the seafood department while the fish was being cleaned, the department has a partition up which prevents customers from being able to see the fish being cleaned and placed in bags. The partition also prevents customers from seeing if the fish they picked out is actually the fish cleaned and placed in bags. What the store did to me was actually criminal. I told the police officer that if I had come into the store and grabbed fish without paying that would be considered theft. He agreed. The fact that this store withheld fish that I paid for amounts to theft.Desired Settlement: I want my money refunded to me. I will never return to this store which has a practice of stealing customers' money.
